Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

Is the difference in counties the 'West' part?

Boots, we're quite a distance apart! The government is considering nationwide restrictions, apparently.

I walked to my op and was unconscious during all wheeling, pre-op. I think I was wheeled out of post-op after I came round, maybe. I really don't recall. 😂😂

pussycatinboots · 18/09/2020 11:17

fluffy it's because of Warrington I think. The figures for the other half of the county are worst than us tho.

WreckTangled · 18/09/2020 12:11

Hope it goes well woolly

I've been food shopping and am home. I don't care that it's 22° I'm sitting and watching a Christmas film.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2020 12:34

Well, Merseyside has increased restrictions now. So it looks like we're locked down!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 18/09/2020 12:36

What does that mean then fluffy? No going out after 10pm and no mixing with other families?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/09/2020 12:45

I pottered down to the laundrette with everyones duvets and mattress protectors , all done in 2 machines , now happily wafting on the washing line .

Just ordered the Holland&Barrett Advent ( Xmas Grin ) so I have

Officially Started Christmas Shopping !

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2020 12:48

I don't really know, Wreck. Definitely no mixing, but no idea otherwise. It won't change much, as we don't do anything anyway!

Afternoon all.

Looks like we could be going into a lockdown too. At one stage my council area went 32 days without a single case and now it's closer to 30 per day. Fluffy if lockdown is anything like it is here, it'll just mean you can't have people in your house. That's it!

For all of you that have marmite 🤢.

I'll be honest and say I've never actually tried it, but the smell alone.

I'm for some reason I'm just reminded that I need to phone my cardiologist to see where about a I am on the list. I was given tablets during the lockdown but I need a review of them because I can still get flutters and palpations.

WreckTangled · 18/09/2020 13:13

We had 13 cases last week in our whole council area.

When I wasn't low carb I used to make marmite pasta, it's a nigella recipe and is delicious! Proper comfort food.

NerosFiddle · 18/09/2020 13:28

Wreck that was Nigellas recipe of the day during the week.

FireflyGirl · 18/09/2020 13:35

I read that as you getting them done in 2 minutes, 70 Grin Think I need a nap 😴

DS started with a cold last night, and is a drama queen doesn't like not being able to breathe properly, so he woke up a few times. He was worried he had the bug (it's just a snotty nose, thankfully) which I think was partly because it's been so long he doesn't remember having a cold before! I eventually dosed him up with calpol and we all managed to get some sleep.

I've spent a couple of hours today wrapping presents for my friends' kids, as they're all bought now. I've wrapped them in brown paper, drawn reindeer faces on, and need to make some red pom pom noses so they look like Rudolph. Not sure the 15 y/o will appreciate it, but the younger ones will Grin

DH and I were chatting at lunch, about whether the numbers locally will come down before baby makes an appearance, and worked out that if she arrives at the same gestation as DS, that's only 4 more weeks! Shock

The car seat came yesterday, so we're prepared in terms of 'stuff', but it's been so long since we had DS I think the rest of it is going to come as a shock.

pussycatinboots · 18/09/2020 15:16

Fluffy you're ok until Tuesday - so you can still go for that beer at 10pm Grin
Wreck our half of the county had 100 cases and the other half had just over 100 in the last week.
They're de-mothballing the Nightingale Hospital in Birmingham - it's gone on standby. That isn't a good sign.
Nero DH was in hosp early April and is still waiting for his consultant appointment too. If you're still getting symptoms can you chase up via your GP?

WreckTangled · 18/09/2020 15:28

Oh that is high isn't it. Still can't believe all of this is happened really. So shit.

pussycatinboots · 18/09/2020 15:32

Wreck I've signed up for this - it's developed by a MNer (littleowl1)

WreckTangled · 18/09/2020 16:16

Thanks have signed up

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2020 16:18

We've had 151 cases in Sefton this week and our figures are lower than the rest of Merseyside. Sefton also covers a massive area (Bootle up to Southport), so those cases could be miles away! Anyway, we're locked down, so 🤷‍♀️

Liverpool Echo story.

Ooh Fluffy that book looks good (and you say I can blame Woolly for it, hmmm (strikes chin and considers if I could add another to my shelf - DH only realised I had 3 Christmas books last week, and they’re in plain sight on sitting room open bookcase!! ).

Just waiting for Cabinet meeting to confirm lockdown here too, lots in the office today (I think in anticipation of not getting I for a while again) but it meant going for lunch with 3 others and enjoying some chat!!

MarshmallowManiac · 18/09/2020 17:01

Evening everyone.
Don't mind marmite sandwiches but always add slices of cheese.
I'm liking this one.

Glad to hear you're feeling a little better Crazy

Like your thinking Wreck Wink

Hope you got on ok Woolly

WreckTangled · 18/09/2020 17:29

I've just brought ds to football training. It's actually in a national trust park. He refused to join in with his foundation training last night so I'm hoping he will be ok tonight..

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/09/2020 19:14

All done and back home. Off my trolley on painkillers 😂 and I have the gorgeous surgical stockings too. 7 more days self isolating to look forward to - I think I'll go full Mariah and ask for single colour smarties in a glass bowl (orange ones obviously) or get my toast cut into Christmas shapes 🤔

pussycatinboots · 18/09/2020 19:14

Biddy I think you've joined the lockdown club I'm adjacent, so it's just a matter of time
Wreck it sounds like a lovely setting. I hope he joins in.

NerosFiddle · 18/09/2020 19:29

Woolly don't forget your straw.

Wreck hope he plays tonight.

Boots are you joining Fluffy in lockdown?

Biddy I see you're being asked to work from home. Can you do this in your new job?

I still can't find my Delia book. If Dh has thrown it out so help him!

WreckTangled · 18/09/2020 19:47

Woolly that sounds like a reasonable request! Pleased it went well.

Ds joined in and was awesome. It's a deer park and there were loads of deer running about and just as many geese flying about. Finally sitting down for some dinner.

BiddyPop · 18/09/2020 19:47

Yes, it’s just a different section in the same Ministry. So WFH is fine, just hard starting all over yet again...with no one to just pop around a door to ask questions of.

Officially lockdown so drinking wine to numb the pain, but can still do Cubs in the morning as we’d already gone to smaller groups. So some fresh air and sunshine to enjoy!!
