Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

We shall see the proof of the pudding is ....

Morning.
Did you get back to sleep, fluffy ?
Aygos are quite nippy, Mrs I won't say I'm not offended by the bird poo comments Grin
firefly I hope you're asleep.

NoWordForFluffy · 16/09/2020 06:18

I did! Awake again now though.

Boots, as much as I love the Vulcan, I'm not keen on the car. I imagine I also couldn't get out of the damn thing.

Firefly, did you sleep OK?

Mrs, well done on the car. Is DD1 as excited as you?

70, DS asks me every day for the countdown. The kids think it's amazing that I always know! Xmas Grin

Crazy, how are you feeling now?

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 16/09/2020 07:57

Thank you MrsMad & Fuffy. Unfortunately the headache is ongoing - It's like a throbbing in the back of my head & at my left temple and there's the kind of pressure you get when you're congested but I can breathe fine. I'm going to call the dr when they open and request a callback from my gp.
I'm exhausted - the headache makes me want to close my eyes but at the same time hurts so much I'm struggling to sleep 🤕

MrsMad Your DDs are very lucky to have you buying them cars, especially nice ones remembering the 4 gear Peugeot I learned in and the bright green old corsa that was my beloved first car

Firefly Heat takes it out of you at the best of times. I hope you managed a good nights sleep.

I've started work already, I was aiming to get it done and out of the way early as I can't sleep anyway but have just had a meeting invite for 4pm so will now be working until 5:30 instead of finishing at 3 as planned. Am considering taking an extended break after lunch to use up the time and possible nap...

BiddyPop · 16/09/2020 08:03

Last of the 3 digit days already?! Am feeling wiped this week, I think the shambolic news on Covid and uncertainty on brexit combined with autumn setting in and new job, struggling to get to sleep (especially with a snorer beside me). Need to clear spare bed again.

It’s amazing the speed that some people can get the test and results compared to others....

NerosFiddle · 16/09/2020 08:38

Biddy there is so much on Twitter about SD getting his results within 3 hours. Just goes to show we should all be able to get it.

Mrs very generous of you buy a car. I d always liked Toyota.
My first car was 1999 Citroen Saxo. It was originally a red car but by the time I had it, it had turned pink with the rain Grin.

Crazy I'd your BP still high?

Time to bring my soldier down for tomorrow.

I'm away to make some hash browns and eggs.

NoWordForFluffy · 16/09/2020 09:00

It started really autumnal and misty here today, but the sun has burned through now, thankfully. I hung the washing out before 7, so at least it has a hope of drying now!

Our testing situation is bonkers.

I hope the GP can help, Crazy.

TheWoollybacksWife · 16/09/2020 09:13

Morning all.

Crazy I hope you get sorted out today. Have you got any vision problems with the headache? My DD2 had a sickening headache and spots in her vision which turned out to be IIH. It was originally diagnosed by the optician but treated in hospital.

Happy birthday to MrFirefly

Hope DD1 enjoys her car MrsMad

Biddy DH is a snorer and I'm probably alone in finding it comforting listening to him while I'm trying to drop off. I still want to stop it occasionally with a pillow

Off to get my pre-op Covid test in 15 minutes. Lucky me. My freezer has arrived too. The day just keeps on giving!!

CrazyBaubles · 16/09/2020 09:33

BP is still high Neros.Lower than it was yesterday, but still too high.
GP is going to call me back before 2pm - I've said I'd like to speak to my dr as she knows me well so I have to wait a little longer, otherwise I'd get a call by 12.

What is on your spare bed Biddy?

Woolly I'd never heard of IHH but have had a quick look and a lot of symptoms match (stiff neck, headaches, nausea, dizziness, variations in vision). I had an optician appointment last week but their machine was broken so they couldn't take images of my eyes - is that how they find it? I'll ask as I have to go back.

Fingers crossed for a negative test.

I can't remember if I posted these - I've made the front of 2 cushions (well, almost). The Christmas tree one is for my dm who loves all things sparkly (I don't actually like the tinselly border). The H's in the grey one are sparkly yarn, it just doesn't show well on the pics. I'm going to border it in sparkly silver and add matching sparkly Pom poms so it says Ho Ho Ho. Not sure if it'll go to my auntie or my sister though. Again, not my style but they're both fans of the modern fashion of having everything grey and both have silver on their Christmas trees.

NoWordForFluffy · 16/09/2020 09:41

How many freezers are you on now, Woolly? You're in the 3 freezer gang maybe?!

Good luck with the test!

Happy birthday to MrFirefly. 🎂

DH was snoring last night. I thought it was a commotion outside, it was such an odd noise (not a standard snore, just loud breathing).

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 16/09/2020 09:44

Cute cushions, Crazy!

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 16/09/2020 09:47

Thanks for the birthday wishes for DH.

I slightly clipped the kerb on the school run this morning, so he is also getting a new tyre for his car that was only in the garage yesterday for its MOT Blush

Oops. What a lovely thoughtful present! 🙈😂

OP posts:
pussycatinboots · 16/09/2020 11:49

Firefly oops 😂 and many happy returns to your DH - I would ask what you bought him, but I suspect it'll be a tyre.🤦🏻‍♀️
Crazy I hope everything goes well with the Docs appointment.
Biddy and Nero I've worked out who SD is 😉 it took some googling and RTE.

NerosFiddle · 16/09/2020 12:07

Happy birthday to your Dh fire. Hope he enjoys his new tyre.

Boots I want trying to be covert about Stephen Donnelly 😂.

MarshmallowManiac · 16/09/2020 12:24

Afternoon everyone.
Hope you are all well, haven't been on for a few days as really knackered and busy at work and sending stuff to DD2 that she forgot when going to uni! Dry here but not as sunny or warm as yesterday. Also yesterday evening my daughter (who is a teacher), came home from work with a new cough. Subsequently she has had to book a test and we are all self isolating until hopefully she gets a negative result, can't believe this has happened already when we have just been back for only 3 weeks! Spent all morning trying on the phone to get an isolation note for work, but my DD said it is better online so I tried and after a few questions got my isolation note. Would highly recommend going online ladies if you need one.
Am also down a bit of a rabbithole atm looking for our third freezer hats off to *Fluffy three freezers Grin Grin

Boots fab car but think I would break my poor fragile bank trying to get into it. Smile

Mrs well done on the car, I wish your DD many safe, happy journeys in it. Smile

Firefly hope you had a lovely, relaxing night's sleep, and a very happy birthday to your DH.

My DH is a bloody cutting down every tree in the forest snorer Biddy, and I am constantly elbowing him all through the night, totally feel your pain Flowers

Fluffy hope you managed to get back to sleep.

Glad to hear your freezer has arrived Woolly Good luck with the test.

Cushions look fab Crazy

pussycatinboots · 16/09/2020 12:42

Nero The Minister of Health, Stephen Donnelly? 😉 or your Postman?

Firefly erm, you've scuffed his alloy too...

NoWordForFluffy · 16/09/2020 12:47

I've had an exciting day today in my head.

Two deliveries (3 parcels) have arrived (Wilko and Buy Wholefoods Online) and I also managed to iron DD's school shirts while the kettle boiled earlier. #multitaskinghero (Yes, the kettle is bloody slow.)

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 16/09/2020 12:48

Oh dear fire what a hassle.

I'm so stressed waiting for this bloody test and I'm panicking it didn't register properly because I didn't receive a confirmation email but the tracking shows it was delivered at 8am yesterday so I would have expected a result by now.

pussycatinboots · 16/09/2020 12:54

fluffy Ironing? really? blimey, things are bad 🤦🏻‍♀️
You need a faster kettle😁😂

pussycatinboots · 16/09/2020 12:57

Wreck that's a bugger. isn't it quite a narrow window for testing? so unless they respond or you do another today, won't you have to isolate for the rest of the 2 weeks?

WreckTangled · 16/09/2020 12:58

Well we would have until Saturday I think but my argument is that dd was never even symptomatic so if I don't get the results by the end of tomorrow I'm sending her in anyway.

pussycatinboots · 16/09/2020 13:04

I've seen someone say day 5 is the cut-off. You're right though. The dodgy thermometer is a PITA - did you complain to the school?
