Have bought kettle & toaster for her today from Asda , it was down to 15 each so she will be happy 😄 she's wanted it for ages.

Mrs What she "wants" and what she can afford are different. She needs to work this bit out for herself and you need to stop buying stuff.

I've just had a think and don't think any furniture except our bed, 2 ikea bookcases and our sofas have been bought brand new. My dad is a tradesman and it's amazing how many people ask him to take great furniture to the tip when they're having work done. We've got a solid pine Welsh dresser with matching dining table and huge coffee table that way, along with a washing machine that was a year old (owner didn't want it as it's white and they were having a new kitchen with silver appliances). Madness!

MrsMad it may well be stress too. The whole mortgage issue is causing a lot of stress but apart from that I'm actually relatively relaxed.
Can your DD2 afford all new? I remember having lofty ideas of going into Next and Ikea and furnishing everywhere. Didn't take long to realise that was completely unrealistic as we were completely broke a bit poor 😂
Can afford more now but actually, I prefer buying second hand / rescuing and making nice with paint etc if needed. Feels like more of a bargain and saves things from landfill.

Be careful of how much you buy as DD1 will expect the same!

I'm slowly starting to feel better. I had 2 crumpets and some squash and am now working, but I did this yesterday - thought it was gone and it came back around 11pm and kept me awake half the night.

It's still 29° here 🥵 really muggy too. Dd is just having her piano lesson.

It's quite muggy here. The sky is a sort of pinky grey - if I hadn't seen a forecast, I'd say we were due some ☔

We just had a pathetic amount of rain. Still looks ominous, even though it's not forecast.

It's raining. None on the forecast earlier - I knew it would as DH has been outside watering drowning the plants.

It's for Dd1 really we will have use of it too, so the bank of Mum and Dad has paid been after one for her for ages since she passed her test. last September .
From Motorpoint Newport,Toyota AYGO, RED 17 PLATE, 9,700 miles, FULL years MOT ,18 months warranty, no tax ins 6E , £5500 nice runaround for her . Am very relieved to get it sorted to be honest because Dd2 will be moving and taking her car with her and we need another car here for back up

Made a red thai curry paste/sauce tonight with Dd1 , she loves red thai curry paste but the one in Tesco they changed and she doesn't like it anymore . It's a bit of a faff but we got it sorted now , l dont know if she is going to like it but here goes

It is much too warm here. I've spent most of the day resting, but still feel wiped out. I've got the fan on trying to cool the bedroom down so I can hopefully sleep better tonight.

I hired an Aygo , (grey ) it was cute , fun to drive with a rear view camera bigger than the dashboard (ok , slight lie)

Cannot believe than tomorrow will be a hundred days ! I will torment DH with that nugget of information.
