I'm tired due to a late night. So all my own fault! I need to stop such nonsense as I'm meant to be starting to go jogging before work and can't if I'm tired!

It's meant to be 23° today, so the kids are being sent in summer uniform.

The PH rolls are nice. But no nicer than the Aldi mixed bag.

We like part baked bread here. It's meant to be 28° here. Dd is in full strop mode saying she feels too unwell for school. I say if she's well enough to shout she's well enough to go.

We're a big fan of the Aldi mixed pack of part baked rolls here.

We haven't seen any panic buying here yet, but I think a local lockdown is on its way so I'm sure it's coming.

So sad about the train being cancelled Fluffy. It's going to be such an odd year.
Dm announced yesterday Christmas is going to be rubbish and she doesn't want to go shopping so she's giving everyone money. I don't believe her for a second though, she says this every year then the festive spirit gets her in November and she buys loads so I've said I'll help her buy online (she's rubbish at technology).

Exciting day here - work, dr app (smear - sorry for the tmi), then out to the carvery for tea.

DS is going through a growing spurt. He's a bottomless pit at the moment! He demanded a second helping of wedges last night, and was about to start his second breakfast as o left the house (I'm collecting something from Sainsbury's).

Regarding the bargain thread, I'm way better than I used to be, as I bought all sorts I didn't need in my first couple of years on it!

Crazy, is the cavery one of the places that's extended EOTHO? There's a few round here.

We've decided not to book anything instead of the train as it just won't be the same! This might be DD's last year of believing too. Sigh.

Yes she does. She does have a cold but it's not as bad as ds was Friday.

Forgot to say, my Christmas face masks were dropped off at the allotment at the weekend.

Yes Fluffy. My friend told me the EOTHO is still going so we're meeting there (she was shielding previously, she can't drive, she lives alone and her family aren't very nice so she's barely been out of her house.

I dip in and out of the bargain thread but very rarely see anything that tempts me tbh.

My mum says every year that she isn't going to enjoy Christmas, usually around this time because she starts trying to organise her day and gets frustrated when no one wants to set a plan in stone yet 🙄
She can't avoid the Christmas spirit - me and my dad love Christmas and my sisters little ones love the lights / music / decorations even though they don't fully get it yet

Two of the staff in Morrisons were chatting about Christmas Trees...one has already put her "small" tree up - so we're 1) not alone; 2) not going to be first.🤣🤣

Crazy I hope you can talk your mum around - I'm sure once she gets the hang of online shopping, there'll be no stopping her.

I love Christmas, but couldn't put a tree up yet! It would get in the way.

Poundland have started to put out their Christmas stuff and so has the the range. Later on in the week I'll take a good look around.

I went into dunelm on Friday and they didn't have any Christmas bits although chad started putting out their slippers so I suppose that's a start

I went to Lidl this morning for pretzels, and they had lebkuchen, mini stollen and gluhweinin! But no Halloween stuff yet (they do little chocolate pumpkins that I love!). I didn't buy the Christmas bits, because I would just eat them and I'm eating enough at the moment.

Did buy lots of pretzels, though

I stop looking at the bargain thread once I've bought for everyone. I want to be done for this year before the end of next month, including wrapped, so I'm not trying to do it with a newborn. I'm nearly there - DDad is going to send me a link to the shirt he wants, I'm waiting for M&S doing their 20% off deal to get DM's slippers, and then I'm sorted apart from sweets and dairy free chocolate coins for the stockings.

I have bought brown paper for wrapping, which I plan to get DS to help me decorate with stamps, but it seems wrong to do that at the moment when it's t-shirt and shorts weather!

School phoned and made me pick dd up as apparently she has a temperature. I got her home and our thermometer says 37.2 but obviously school won't let her back without a negative test

Fgs wreck. Did they say what her temp was in school?

Fire I'm going to send Dh into Lidl. I love their stollen.

Over 100 apparently which means nothing to me. But dd said their infrared thermometer wasn't working very well so they used one of those forehead strip ones 🙄

We've got a test but I can't work out what to do with it. Do I just put it in the post box? God it's all so stupid and unclear. School said ds can carry on going and I'm not arguing. She doesn't even have a temperature ffs.

Nero It's rare I'll say this 😉 , but Mrs is right 🤣 - just buy another freezer and fill it with treats for the kids - your DH can't argue with that well, he can, but we'll sort him out for you!
