I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

If they attach, I've got pages from Sarah Raven's "Complete Christmas" book on forcing hyacinths in glass/water and on narcissus paper whites. Hope they're useful.

Just sitting down for a few minutes quiet before starting dinner, DH and dd will be home soon enough. But it was a lovely morning on the water with Cubs - we had 17 in the end over 2 sessions, not a bad turnout.

Welcome back, Lachy! I think my first year was M's first Christmas. I definitely had both kids and DS is 6 now.

The loaf is lovely, Woolly. I've attached the recipe. It's a bread maker recipe, but I'm sure it's transferable.

I hurt. I've done loads of weeding. And also picked over 1kg of raspberries! We might be making more jam. 😂

Been to see to Mum today, it was carnage there ,as per bloody usual.
We came back to Mum's and her NDN gave me half a dozen eggs for us from his hens, aw bless him l could have cried at how kind he was.

lachy just to make you feel old , my Baby is off to University this month

I got all the winter clothes out of the attic , sorted through what I'm keeping and what I'm going to put in the Charity Shop .

DH , DS and I cleared the garage out and put a load of stuff out for bins . Ive got a crate of glasses which are now in the dishwasher . They can go off to the Charity Shop too .
So - good day so far

Mrs I don't eat many eggs but I have always been passionate about Free Range . I know chicken welfare has improved so no battery hens now but even barn kept is an artificial existance for them.

Those eggs look lovely and when you use them the white should be almost jelly like as they're fresh. Liquid eggs that bleurgh all over are a let down ( but good for meringues so I'm told )

Lachy thank God you have hairless hands we've had our fair share of them lately
70 the look of them is enough they are just gorgeous. The boy is such a sweetheart l would love him to marry one of my Dd but there is no hope he's not gay and neither are they but these youngsters don't seem interested. I can dream though

Nice to have you back lachy.

I managed to injure my toe moving the sofa for the Grand Plan yesterday so am hobbling today. Will have to do two weeks worth of Grand Plan next week instead as need to rest it today.

We went to Eagle's Nest yesterday (pre toe injury) and it was stunning.

As I am largely going to be on the sofa today will crack on with some Christmas planning. Will do a Christmas card list and also look at adding to my present haul :)

It's lovely here. I've been making Yorkshires, putting shopping Brexit stockpile away and washing the 1.2kg of raspberries I picked at the allotment so far today! I'm now going to wash the non-dishwasher bits up and we'll go to Martin Mere once we're all washed / dressed.

When we get back I'll convert the fruit into jam.

These are my Christmas cook books (plus a few others; they're on top of my cupboards, so I'm not shifting them!).

I can't think of any main ones I'm missing?

Ds has football this morning but is currently refusing to get dressed. Dd also in an awful mood.

Just had an email of a confirmed case in Reception at DS' school but thankfully not in his bubble so he doesn't need to self isolate. However due to staffing he can't return until Thursday so DH is taking leave.

That didn't last long, Most! At least he's not in that bubble.

Wreck, my DS is also failing to get dressed. 🙄
