Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

Afternoon everyone.
Falling asleep on the sofa, extremely challenging class this year, totally exhausted at the end of every day. Rant over, at least we've got birthday cake. Grin

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 17:05

Afternoon Smile
I am listening to Jane Eyre on You Tube , it's darling Smile

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 17:22

@Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear

Just popping in to say GBBO is back 22 Sept :)
YES! Thank you Most Boot they stick me in the eye too l can't stand them Hmm
Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 17:24

Rochester is a lovely name........ le sigh so romantic Grin

CrazyBaubles · 09/09/2020 17:31

MrsMad the weather turned out lovely in the end - I even managed to get a load of washing dried 😊

puss I don't bother stocking up when there's a thread of lockdown or snow anymore because my mum can't help herself and buys enough for her,
Dsis and me 🙄

I've got a few reusable masks too - I've just about worked out about worked how to wear them so my glasses don't steam up. I've avoided the disposable ones for environmental reasons - I don't go anywhere that needs a mask really.

Woohoo for GBBO 🥳 🍰

I've had one hell of a day in work. Was told about a big meeting tomorrow (that requires a doc from me) at 1pm today. My head hurts.
DH is cooking tea (just ham, egg and jacket pot) and I'm crocheting to relax / shake the day off.

PS Did you know they've had 2 days of snow in Colorado. Someone I know is there and posted pics on Fb. It looks beautiful ❄️

pussycatinboots · 09/09/2020 18:19

Most Thanks for that - will write it on the calendar 🍰🍪🍩
Crazy we bought the disposables for DH for the docs or hosp before it became compulsory. I've used some of them for shopping until I found cotton ones (in a shop) - they all seem to be stretchy/polyester (I cannot wear that on my face) I really wouldn't want to use a reusable one for hosp etc, as I wouldn't want it back.
I touch my face more now I wear a mask than I did before trying to see!
I watched the forecast for Denver on BBC - it went from 30 down to 0 in 2 days 🤯😲

NoWordForFluffy · 09/09/2020 18:27

I have relatives in Denver! Bit of a shock to the system for them. 😱

Somebody will have to remind me about GBBO. #brainlikeasieve

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 19:17

NoWordForFluffy · 09/09/2020 19:17

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 19:19

Omg God Fluffy l know the feeling, so sensitive normally and then add in hormones not a good mix ......sob.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 09/09/2020 19:27

Since having DS there are so many things I can't watch. Will give All Creatures a go and will hold you accountable mrs if I end up a blubbering mess!

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 09/09/2020 19:31

I don't think I want to watch the new All Creatures. I loved the first one and it can't be replaced. I love bake off but I am on nights when it starts so no spoilers please you lovely lot.

pussycatinboots · 09/09/2020 19:39

why I'll do my best 🤞🏻 and try to remember to remind fluffy it's on 🤦🏻‍♀️
🍰🍪🍩🤐

I still haven't had a nap - I was up at 5am yesterday, bed at 10.30pm, then up at 2.30am today...can I make it to 10 tonight?
I want to watch Clarkson/Millionaire at 9

pussycatinboots · 09/09/2020 19:42

I don't like the donkey ads either. The Cat ones really upset me. I turn the tv off in the ads now - it probably saves 1p of electric and 20p of tissues 😭

Why l felt like that. I really used to love the Christopher Timothy/RobertHardy / Peter Davidsom / Linda Bellingham cast but l thought nah l will give it a go and it's lovely and so well done Smile

The Egyptian donkeys Struggling under the weight of more than he should carry are heartbreaking and I'm so Angry this is still going on. DH and I went to Egypt about 22 years ago , we saw in real life .
The Brook Animal Hospital do a sterling job helping these gallant little animals .
They work hard as do their owners but it is a cruel life .
We gave them a donation when we were there , I was a keen horsey type back then.

The Cat Protection ones are Sad , our little fur babies were all alone in the world once but their lives were turned around when they were neutered and homed . We love the little ratbags (though the female has just wandered on , pooohed in the tray and wandered out ....).

DD and I are planning a trip up Larndan see how her journey to University will work out , go for some Retail Therapy maybe ?

pussycatinboots · 09/09/2020 20:32

70 I have just encountered a similar "tray incident" Hmm
I always bung a bag or box of food in the Cats Protection basket at the supermarket.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 09/09/2020 20:39

My girls are from Cats Protection. If I ever met the people who abandoned them I would wring their necks although really that would be too good for them!

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 20:39

Brook Animal Hospital was the charity we chose to send the donations in lieu of flowers for my MIL , she donated regularly to them. They do amazing work.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/09/2020 20:39

Grin my reckoning is you can tell a lot about your animals health by what comes out of them !
Female cat had a bleurgy stomach and some slight blood in her pooh (we kept a close eye on her , possibly smething she foraged outside ) she was as right as rain but we wouldn't have known if they went outside .

Driving into work today listening to the news about a 2nd Wave ( it wouldn't surprise me at all) winter seasonal flu is a-coming and the Winter Vomiting Bug no doubt .

This winter will stretch the NHS , most of us are stressed , dis enchanted , doing our bit and in the firing line of all the random ailments .

WreckTangled · 09/09/2020 20:39

I just checked to see where we could get a covid test, out of interest. The nearest is the Isle of Wight 😂 bearing in mind the ferry is £70 and also the fact that you have to get a ferry. Honestly this whole thing is stupid. Ds has had a sore throat all day and I just heard him cough (first time since he got home).

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 20:41

OMG Wreck that is awful! Hope Ds is feeling better very soon Flowers
