Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

I'm so jealous of the third freezer. I'd love a 2nd one but I've nowhere to put it.

Ds birthday is Halloween. I've already told him he won't be able to have a party and probably not go trick or treating. He asked if there will still be cake though Grin.

Hopefully the picture attaches. But I was pushing a double pram up here and was about 3/4 of the way up when the wheel came off.

Nero will you forgive me? I may have laughed a little tiny bit at that. Blush

NerosFiddle · 08/09/2020 21:52

Boots I can laugh about it now but I was cursing that pram at the time.

pussycatinboots · 08/09/2020 21:56

Or kicking it up the hill? 😉
How did you manage to get home?

NerosFiddle · 08/09/2020 21:59

Thankfully people helped me. A few people ran after the wheel and helped put it back on. I was mortified.

BiddyPop · 08/09/2020 22:05

Happy birthday to Marshmallow’s DH.

After the longest call with almost no result (well, except that boss accepts its now his problem to solve as he took so long to address it 🧐), I came down to throw baby potatoes in for a fast roast (I had lamb slow roasting but forgot the spuds). After dinner, there was still peace and quiet to lean out gutters front and back, and get half a boat stitched on next xst bookmark. Now sitting with tea and cake watching GBBO.

pussycatinboots · 08/09/2020 22:12

Nero Oh god, the escaping wheel! It wasn't going to just fall off and stay put on the pavement, was it.

Biddy well done on offloading 🥇

CrazyBaubles · 08/09/2020 22:34

Wreck I wish I could make myself sick and the migraine would be over. Mine last anything from 8 - 48 hours!

Mild migraines that respond to meds is the best I can hope for Fluffy. Mine tend to be 50/50 on whether meds made a difference and they range in severity & symptoms which is a pain in the arse. I've never proved it but I think an indicator of a severe one is that my eye twitches.

Neros we have 2 freezers (one fridge-freezer, one under counter one) and I think I'm committing an mn sin because the under-counter one is empty and switched off at the mo.

Also, sorry but I also giggled at the pram / hill story.

Sounds like a good evening Biddy

I'm going to bed now. I've crocheted the beginnings of a Christmas cushion which will be for my mum. Not what I had planned but I couldn't deal with anything fiddly like a toy tonight.

MarshmallowManiac · 08/09/2020 23:26

Oh no Wreck Flowers

Thanks Mrs enjoyed our chinese, but having cake tomorrow as we had it so late.

Fluffy I am so jealous of your new freezer.

Thank you Biddy sounds like a fab evening. Smile

Crazy you are letting the side down by not having your freezer both on and fully stocked 😉 with batch cooked home made meals My freezers are both on, although one seems to have a lot of pizza, ice cream, fish fingers and oven chips😁

DH couldn't sleep...which meant neither could I 🤦‍♀️

NoWordForFluffy · 09/09/2020 07:25

Morning!

The freezer is nice and cold, so I've been putting stuff in it we have a sausage drawer. We need to empty the chest freezer to see what's in there to fully decide what's going where, but at least it has food in it now.

I foresee plenty of freezer-shuffling at the weekend. 😂😂

It's meant to be dry today, but we just had a little shower (forecast said 10% 🙄). It's blue sky now, so the darked on washing will be dry come lunch time.

Did you get back to sleep, Boots?

I did just over an hour of cross stitch and unpicking last night. I didn't achieve much! There are huge chunks of colours now, so it gets a bit tedious, even if it is quicker to an extent as long as it's in the right place.

Crazy, we only needed one freezer for ages. Then we built up stocks for something which cannot be named here, plus the veg-growing took off!

I'm in the office today and ds has woken up with a sore throat. He's coughed once but I'm hoping it's just because it was cold overnight...!

pussycatinboots · 09/09/2020 07:38

fluffy Nope, been awake since half 2.
You will be playing freezer tetris at the weekend then - I'm already at that stage for the same reason that cannot be named here 😉
Wreck fingers crossed it's just a one-off. 🤞🏻

BiddyPop · 09/09/2020 08:13

You’re allowed to talk about the bargains you got on frozen turkeys on here 🤣 and the sprouts are already late to start boiling 😱

CrazyBaubles · 09/09/2020 08:42

puss I know I'm committing an MN sin but my fridge freezer is huge and full (and there are only 2 of us).
We have 1 shelf of ice cream, puddings & lollies, 1 shelf of frozen veg and fruit, one of oven chips, fish fingers, chicken wings, onion rings and other rubbish and one very good shelf of homemade soup / pasta sauce / bolognese and meat.

Am wondering about what mystery item my freezer is missing....

I've checked our weather and it is going to rain this morning and be nice this afternoon 🙄

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 08:49

AHH bless him 🤗 Nero that hill looks bad enough without the double buggy 😱
Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 08:50

Crazy it look lovely here l hope it isn't going to rain 🤔

Mrsmadevans · 09/09/2020 09:36

Morning everyone 😀
Wreck hope Ds is ok 💐
Just off to MumBobs have a lovely day everyone 😀

BiddyPop · 09/09/2020 10:13

Blush I just realised that I forgot the "c" in cleaned the gutters last night - so I had an actual word but the sentence doesn't make that much sense....I hadn't even had wine Blush

pussycatinboots · 09/09/2020 10:57

Biddy after a while, I think we can generally get the gist of anything on MN 😉 some of the typos in AIBU are quite funny.
Crazy I have enough to feed us for a month I reckon.
I ran it down to just the one after christmas, then panicked when lockdown was looking possible, so put the 2nd (overflow) freezer on and filled it in no time. I don't have a "good" shelf 😁
I've bought some reusable face coverings masks. I'm sick of the cheap and nasty disposable ones poking me in the eye under my glasses. DH thinks it's just me and my face/head is a funny shape 🤪

NerosFiddle · 09/09/2020 11:11

Boots I've been buying children's size face masks. I have a tiny face so the adult ones are as useless as a chocolate teapot.

We're staying in today because I have a load of deliveries arriving. Nothing wild or wonderful sadly.

pussycatinboots · 09/09/2020 12:43

Neros my face isn't small. I think my nose is a bit big and encourages the mask to cover my eyes 😁 that and my ears seem to be too high 🤷🏻‍♀️
🤣🤣

sueelleker · 09/09/2020 14:20

@Nero We were towing a trailer tent down the A30 once [going camping in Cornwall] when a wheel came off the trailer. It must have bounced like heck, because we couldn't find it! And the road had banks about 15 feet high. Luckily we had a spare, which the kind AA man fitted for us.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/09/2020 14:38

I'm flying in and out...Booths' Christmas book is being released on 16 October! Eek!!! Xmas Grin
