Morning! WFH today. Ds still coldy but has not had enough coughs to be considered persistent and his temp is fine. He has football tonight for the first time too (his foundation training, his other one started a few weeks ago) so I really need him to stay ok.

We're waiting for the kids to get up so the washing can go on. They need to be up really though! They had swimming yesterday, so we didn't hear a peep all night! DD was staggering round like a little drunk person she was so tired! 😂😂

It really does. I will obviously get his tested if his cough develops but I'm as sure as I can be that it's just a cold.

I wouldn't put a 7 year old through the test unless I had to!

I know I really don't want to, I've had one and it's horrible and I would have to do it to him!

I'm sorry to say, I don't think that feeling goes away - my mum still says "I can't believe I have a daughter who is X years old" on every birthday of mine!

I'm checking in as a distraction. I had a meeting with some higher up, super intelligent people today and I feel a bit shaky. I don't think they noticed my nerves but I felt out of my depth so I'm Having a little wobble about this job. Just taking a breather before doing my last hour of work.

I'm going to have to distract myself with something festive and cheery later

Ds' football training emailed to say parents are no longer allowed to remain onsite. Talk about short notice. Ds is now having a meltdown, it took us months to even get him to feel comfortable joining and now he has to go back after six months off with a new coach and not have DH there for support. I'm not impressed.

Parts of NI are going back into lockdown from Monday. It's all in the east, so not near us but it could put the cat amongst the pigeons again for Dh job. Also means I won't be having my Christmas party this year. Aw well probably more hassle than it's worth.
