Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

Just to add, I walked down it too Grin as DH wanted to leave before the free bus started up to get an earlier train out of Brighton🤷🏻‍♀️
Biddy deep breath as 3 turns to 3.30...? you've the patience of a Halo

pussycatinboots · 08/09/2020 14:57

Woolly lucky you got to see him and it wasn't a phone appt. Do you have to isolate again?

TheWoollybacksWife · 08/09/2020 15:32

I've just had that conversation with DH Boots. I don't know to be honest. He didn't tell me, but then he didn't tell me last time - it all came in a letter from the hospital. I'll ring the department and check. DH does the station run in the morning so I can start tomorrow without needing anyone to do anything different at home.

Mrsmadevans · 08/09/2020 15:38

Afternoon everyone Smile
It is gloriuos weather here. l am sat in the sun writing to you all and it feels lovely with the breeze on me Smile
Crazy you poor thing Flowers do you record your migraines so as to find the pattern or have you done that already ?
Woolly omg love that is a right pain Hmm , bless you, like the Cons said better to get it sorted quickly Flowers
Nero
Firefly great that Ds was happy going into school Smile
Been to MumBobs, did a lot there so am knackered. Changed her wardrobe over to her Winter one , trousers warm coats and cardies and jumpers. Did the ironing , sorted the bathroom. Will change the bed tomorrow & put it in the washer. Mum seems fine so is Bob, thankfully. Dd2 house is completing a week Friday thankfully l am so relieved at long last. Do you know we went to see it the 23rd of Jan and said we'd buy it then ! It has taken so long , 34 weeks and 1 day if it goes as planned Hmm

Mrsmadevans · 08/09/2020 15:40

Meat to say Nero that Crazy's idea sounds fab! A stay at a hotel with a spa Smile

CrazyBaubles · 08/09/2020 16:32

Wreck I wait for dm to tell me Christmas stock is in TK Maxx. She usually announces it by buying me something - partly to be nice and partly to annoy DH. It's a running joke between them Xmas Grin

I guess it could be worse Biddy. At least you're looking after your house

Woolly what procedure will you have? Is it a full GA and op?

I've kept a diary a few times, and I note some stuff in the one I have now but my triggers are hormones, wine, caffeine, too little or too much sleep and congestion / pressure from allergies and hay fever. I also have some seemingly at random.
I'm pretty sure yesterday's one was hormone related as the symptoms and severity differ between triggers. Hormone ones are usually some of the worst, with too much sleep combined with hay fever being the absolute worst (I had one that combined all 3 while I was at uni and DH (boyfriend then) took me to hospital as he suspected a stroke)!

34 weeks to buy the house MrsMad? That's crazy but I'm assuming a lot of delays are the result of Covid.
We're hoping if we find something before end of Sept we could potentially be in just before Christmas 🤞🏼

I've just logged off for the day. I feel frazzled so having 15 mins to rest (and possibly power nap) before I start prepping tea - we're having steak, cheesy potato skins and veg - and I WILL start crocheting tonight!

Mrsmadevans · 08/09/2020 16:39

It's good you did a migraine diary , means you can try to avoid them if possible Smile
Think l am having 'silent migraines' Crazy, just the aura disturbance and no pain thank God!
Look after yourself Crazy take care and have a little rest Flowers

FireflyGirl · 08/09/2020 16:59

Picked DS up from school, all smiles and he's had a lovely day. Came home in his indoor shoes without his jumper, so all back to normal Grin

The garage where we have the cars serviced is between home and school, so I called and asked for them to print off the service history for my car for me to pick up so we can part-ex it (new car is en route from Preston, will be serviced etc and then collected in two weeks or so). Thought I'd ask about getting DH's serviced for the winter, and if they knew when the MOT was due - turns out it's due 2 weeks today!! Good thing I asked! Booked in for next Tuesday, with a service. Phew!

Bet that feels like forever for her, MrsM!

NoWordForFluffy · 08/09/2020 17:05

Wow, you chatty lot! I've read, but can't reply to all of you!

Mrsmadevans · 08/09/2020 18:16

It has felt like forever Fire for us as well as her, for us because we are dreading her going Sad SOB SOB
I am so pleased your Ds was happy in school and lol at the indoor shoes no jumper scenario Grin everything back to normal Smile
Fluffy l know it's so fast here , l couldn't reply to everyone l did my best though Grin

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 08/09/2020 18:17

Glad you are feeling better crazy

Fab that your DS had a good day fire :)

My DS started school today and skipped in happily and tells me he had a good day. He looks so grown up in his uniform Shock

It's looking a bit depressing with the rise in cases everywhere. So worried our Christmas plans won't happen, would be devastating after such a rubbish year.

WreckTangled · 08/09/2020 18:21

Most so please ds had a good day

Dd is moaning because I've said there'll be no tick or treating this year. She knows how much I hate it and thinks I'm just making excuses maybe I also wouldn't be surprised if we're told not to socialise with other households at Christmas. I think it'll be 'if you live alone you can spend Christmas with another family/person' but that's it.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 08/09/2020 18:37

I think you are right wreck. We have done on our own the last two Christmases though and with DS at prime Christmas age we really wanted a family Christmas.

TheWoollybacksWife · 08/09/2020 18:59

We have Christmas on our own so that's not really a problem but we do have a family Christmas party at SILs between Christmas and New Year. We've booked a lovely Airbnb and fingers crossed we can still go ahead. It would be 3 households and a bubble (SIL's family and MIL). Who knows.

Here in Northamptonshire there are 4 towns on the hot spot list - it wouldn't surprise me if the schools shut for a while.

MarshmallowManiac · 08/09/2020 19:16

Evening all.
It is DH's birthday today so there will be chinese and cake. Grin

Good luck with your procedure Woolly Have a phone app with the consultant on Monday about my back.

Hope you enjoye Brighton Wreck maybe you could have a little Halloween party for your DD with games and costumes at home with just your family, that might keep her happy. Smile

Hope you don't get locked down Biddy

It is hard isn't it Firefly dreading it when DD goes to uni at the weekend. Sad

Tea sounds lovely Crazy hope you enjoyed it.

Mrs glad you enjoyed the sun.

fluffy ok, you win 🤣

CrazyBaubles · 08/09/2020 20:39

I've heard of silent migraines MrsMad and I'd swap any day. Mine tend to be light sensitivity, inability to control my temp, blurred vision, awful pain in my head, nausea which feels like motion sickness (but very rarely actually sick) and irritability. I'm a delight when this happens, as you can imagine 😂

most one of our flights for October has been cancelled already. They've offered us an alternative which we've taken but just waiting for it to be cancelled altogether now.

Surely Halloween is all about dressing up and watching Hocus Pocus while inhaling sweets? 🧙🏻‍♀️ 🎃

I'll be really annoyed if schools close here woolly. I can't go back to having DH here when I'm trying to work!

Lol Fluffy, DH tried to get me to walk up that last summer. Not a chance - we walked up the hill opposite the harbour and up a hill to reach the house from Mrs Doubtfire so we got a bus to the top of that hill 😂

I'm about to start crocheting. We've had tea (it was delicious) and walked the dog. House is clean, washing machine is on timer so it'll finish when I wake up. DH just needs to do the kitchen / dishwasher and we're all set for the night.

WreckTangled · 08/09/2020 20:46

Crazy I said I would get them sweets and we could watch hocus pocus so hopefully that'll do! I get migraines although not had one for ages. Mine are hormonal and i need to be sick for them to be over with. I started getting them when I was about 15.

Mrsmadevans · 08/09/2020 20:46

There was a massive tram queue, Crazy, so we decided it couldn't be that bad. It was! 😂😂

I just nipped out as we needed to get rid of the Tassimo to make room for the bread maker as the third freezer is now where it was, and I sold it on Facebook for a tenner. Loads of people were interested should've said £15! 😂 Anyway, I delivered it to the buyer and am now about the cross stitch for a bit.

Your migraines sound terrible, Crazy. I only have visual disturbance, and if I take painkillers as soon as it starts, I don't get the headache. I do still get the post-migraine shadow, but it could be worse.

Mrsmadevans · 08/09/2020 20:49

I can imagine yours sound particularly debilitating Crazy [flowers}
We are just going to watch all creatures we loved it last week Smile

Mrsmadevans · 08/09/2020 20:50

Wow Fluffy that was quick getting 3rd freezer! Grin
