Thanks @sorryiasked for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@Carrie76 great glad it helped Smile

mummymilkfloat · 03/09/2020 20:07

Thanks @Yeknom I’ll have a look at those, I know they’d be happy with whatever advent calendars but after this year I just want everything to be extra special! (Even better if it’s bargainous too of course)

sorryiasked · 03/09/2020 20:09

@Mancbee can you not buy a red pump and put nice soap in it?

vapeinafleshlight · 03/09/2020 20:10

@Mancbee

Elemis Frangipani is in a red bottle. I haven't had the handwash but I adore the body oil

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/09/2020 20:16

Claire's have some decent discounts online. 25% off certain brands (including frozen 2 merchandise) and 40% off some items. I'm going to go into store tomorrow as I've seen quite a few stocking fillers on the website that are discounted

lexloofah · 03/09/2020 20:16

Rubyroo73 we got DD a waffle maker for her birthday. After much research and hesitation went for this Breville duo ceramic one here

Works a treat, doesn't stick, easy to clean, gets used every other weekend, but I know it is expensive, not sure if price drops, we are hoping it will last for years

If you don't fancy mixing your own batter can recommend Krusteaz mix, on Amazon but much cheaper at Costco. Homemade is still better but this might be easier for your tween

Smileatthesmallthings · 03/09/2020 20:18

@mancbee you can get Molton Brown Francincense on ebay, that comes in a red bottle. You might find more red Christmassy ones come out nearer the time perhaps?

WisestIsShe · 03/09/2020 20:21

@Ewock it's an option just under the price.

Mancbee · 03/09/2020 20:42

@sorryiasked thanks! I thought of doing that if I can't find anything suitable, Etsy have some nice ones that could work. vapeinafleshlight thank you! I never thought of Elemis, I'll have a look.

BighouseLittlemouse · 03/09/2020 20:43

Hi @DaisyChops

15 or 20% off new Lego is a pretty good deal I would say.

You do occasionally get deals where Lego is included - but can’t ever guarantee it will be the particular set you want! Amazon also does occasionally drop the price on new Lego sets.

If you sign up to camel camel camel and put the set in you can see the lowest price that set has ever got to? That might help as a guide - but it depends how new it is ( mine aren’t into Mario so I don’t know this set!).

It depends a bit how desperate/set on that particular Lego they are? So for example each of my DS’s ‘desperate for’ set was in the JL offer so I’ve bought them as I know 20% is pretty good and I also know I would buy them whatever.

Mancbee · 03/09/2020 20:45

@Smileatthesmallthings brilliant! Thank you

hiredandsqueak · 03/09/2020 20:46

@DaisyChops Dd has the Mario lego (the £50 set) IMO it's overpriced with little play value. Once dd made it she played with it for about twenty minutes and put it back on the box which is where it has stayed.

Tiggles · 03/09/2020 20:46

@lostmyrubyslippers ah yes mine is a men's small too!

Ewock · 03/09/2020 20:50
@Ewock it's an option just under the price.
Fab thank you. No idea how I missed that!

DaisyChops · 03/09/2020 20:52

Thanks @hiredandsqueak @BighouseLittlemouse
Mine are set on the Mario Lego and I was thinking I can get it from the grandparents and now they are asking for it from Santa! They watch it on utube and think it looks amazing!

BighouseLittlemouse · 03/09/2020 20:58

I think it also depends a bit on how they want to use the Lego. So my eldest DS has some he plays with but some he loves just displaying on his shelf. My youngest just likes the ones he gets play value from.

I do find the themed Lego seems more expensive for what it is - my youngest loves Lego minecraft which I always think feels expensive for what you get.

If it really is a desperate for and they are unlikely to change their minds before Xmas then maybe get it!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 03/09/2020 20:58

I'm hoping to get a good price on the 10" amazon fire tablet, I need 2.
I see they're £150, would it be reasonable to hope they drop to nearer £100? Maybe about Black Friday?

Bluewavescrashing · 03/09/2020 20:59

@EvilHerbivore please could you link to the coat you ordered? Thanks

EvilHerbivore · 03/09/2020 21:06

@Bluewavescrashing it was this one I bought
