Thank you @nickdrakeslovechild for thread title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@PinkDaydreams if he drinks alcohol too, Noveltea might be worth looking at.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/08/2020 10:40

I never get the Argos voucher emails! 😭😭😭

We used the MW discount to get 3 sets of kids' merino base layers for £72, which is a great price.

PowerslidePanda · 30/08/2020 10:57

Toot Toot Pirate Ship arrived today - much bigger than I was expecting! Value wise, I would have been pleased with it even at full price, so I'm chuffed to have got it so cheap - thank you again!

PinkDaydreams · 30/08/2020 10:57

@1stTimeMama thank you! Looked at that site but he’s really fussy and will only drink English breakfast tea Hmm

Smileatthesmallthings · 30/08/2020 11:03

@PinkDaydreams They're foodie gifts, but you can get lovely hampers delivered from Betty's of Harrogate. £5 off if you sign up to the newsletter.

Hurryupbaby11 · 30/08/2020 11:08

@PinkDaydreams how about a photo travel mug if you have a little one running about? I bought one of these for Father's Day for tea loving DH with photos of DS so he can enjoy a cup of tea around baby still. Lots of different designs - www.yoursurprise.co.uk/kitchen-gifts/personalised-mugs/fathers-day-thermos-mug?channable=e60290.NDA5MDA1&artikelcode=409005&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-YqmzdbC6wIVdYBQBh1A9gkNEAQYASABEgKdwPD_BwE

Not really a bargain but for anyone with a Lego lover, IKEA are releasing a new range of storage aimed at Lego. here

tinyradish · 30/08/2020 11:16

Haven't got an argos email either! :( using it with the 2 for £15 toys is a great idea.

purplepandas · 30/08/2020 11:19

Glad I could be of use with the mw code @NoWordForFluffy

ShandlersWig · 30/08/2020 11:19

Just a tip for anyone buying a switch, if the retailer also does a repair insurance do look into it. I've no idea how much they are, but remember Very offered it at time of purchase and I decined it. Since then, our very much used Switch has needed a new set of joy cons (£70) and a new game socket (£65). These are common fails for well used kit. I could kick myself for not adding it on!

Lockdownlumpy · 30/08/2020 11:43

Morning everyone, gosh this is moving so fast considering we're still in August, I can't keep up!

I remember from last years threads some sort of thing where you get pots/packets of spices by post and I think some people had referral or discount codes.
Anyone have a clue what I mean from that vague description, and even better, anyone have a code?
I actually want it for myself, stuck in a meal rut at the moment and want to expand the kdis horizons Grin

catanddogmake6 · 30/08/2020 11:45

@WisestIsShe - thank you for the tip about Ikea and Lego. Was planning on what to buy for the playroom and this will be ideal so will wait a bit before putting in Ikea order.

Lockdownlumpy · 30/08/2020 11:50

I'm biding my time for most of my shopping.
We got randomly selected for the ONS covid study and apparently they are going to give us some sort of voucher as a thank you but no sign of them yet.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 30/08/2020 11:52

clementine8 have you posted on your local Facebook groups or ask in cafes if they can save the tokens for you? Im gluten free so cant help im afraid! :)

NoWordForFluffy · 30/08/2020 11:53

@Lockdownlumpy, it's The Spicery. I can sort you a code, but the referral thread probably has loads.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/08/2020 11:54

Or maybe Hello Fresh, something like that!

Lolly34h · 30/08/2020 11:54

@Lockdownlumpy there's also simply cool

Lockdownlumpy · 30/08/2020 12:04

Thanks! Is it literally one box a month that makes one meal?
If so it's more than I thought, makes it more than £8 per meal just for the spices if so?

hoopdeloop · 30/08/2020 12:11

@Lockdownlumpy there’s simply cool and it’s 4 meals in the box. They have a trial for £3 just now. I’ve also noticed that Asda have started to stock them as well though I can’t remember the price

hoopdeloop · 30/08/2020 12:12

Cook not cool

BeGoneDom · 30/08/2020 12:15

The Avengers book advent calendar that a PP mentioned is down to £12 on Amazon today. I've bought to split up for presents for my DSs.

Lockdownhairdontcare · 30/08/2020 12:20

Our kettle just gave up. Has anyone seen a decent kettle and 4 slice toaster deal? Figure the other one can’t be far behind as purchased together five years ago!

Clementine8 · 30/08/2020 12:26

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts oh good call, didn’t think of that thanks.

@PinkDaydreams if he likes loose leaf tea then liverpool english breakfast tea is really good. We’ve tried a lot of different tea and come back to this, their irish breakfast tea and their afternoon tea. We are a tea loving house! I’d also recommend the SHO travel cups. As PP said it saves toddler attacks and if you are a key worker you can get 50% off with SHO.

noodledoodler · 30/08/2020 12:34

@Lockdownlumpy yes simply cook do the boxes, I got them for quite a while and they are quick and easy, tasty. A pp mentioned the referral thread? Check for a referral code you might get a free or reduced price first box and the referrer gets a free box. The spicery last year did a great curry legends spice tin a bargain price and we made the most delicious curries from it. Maybe hold off to see if they do it in the run up to xmas again.
