Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Thanks for the mse prompt thats db or ddad sorted

Elpheba · 26/08/2020 07:11

Thanks for the beer tip- DH’s advent calendar sorted with a lot less faff than last year!

TheGriffle · 26/08/2020 07:15

@Crackery that beer deal is great, thanks for posting it, just bought for DH.

MissRabbitIsExhausted · 26/08/2020 07:28

Argos have a big red event on today with some decent savings on toys. The Peppa House I've been looking for is down from £100 to £80, just going to see what else is in it!

MissRabbitIsExhausted · 26/08/2020 07:31

Ahh there's not actually that much in it when I look through, but might help someone out a bit!

Thenagainmaybenot · 26/08/2020 07:41

Can anyone recommend decent kids socks that stay sort when washed, are relatively hard wearing and don’t cost the earth?

Wolfcub · 26/08/2020 07:41

Thank you for the key to the city heads up. That's now in ds's xmas box.

Thanks also for the white company blue light heads up, I hadn't realised they did different value discounts. I treated myself

Some more good lego deals

Thenagainmaybenot · 26/08/2020 07:41

Soft. Soft when washed. Staying sorted would be a dream too far!

UselessInDisguise · 26/08/2020 07:43

Thanks for the beer tip @Crackery! Also going to use it as an advent calendar for DH, just what I needed. Brilliant

Dreamingofwalden · 26/08/2020 07:47

@BanoffeePieIsMyFave why didn’t I think of that? Thank you! Smile

Bellablahhole · 26/08/2020 08:26

Received a CCC best price alert this morning for this:

BeGoneDom · 26/08/2020 08:40

Can anyone vouch for the quality of Printerpix? They have 50% today for International Dog Day 🤷‍♀️

BeGoneDom · 26/08/2020 08:42

50% off that is. Their reviews on Trustpilot are good but lots of good ones mention the member of staff that helped them which seems suspicious

IggyAce · 26/08/2020 08:48

Just chatting to DH about the lack of switches and he said they are bringing a new one out, probably in time for Xmas.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/08/2020 08:48

Printerpix are the worst of the companies we've used of similar ilk. Quite poor quality.

Ewock · 26/08/2020 08:49

Hi all I'm trying to do the Flavourly beer offer through the MSE link a pp posted but it says the offer is applied but doesn't add the case to the basket and I can't find the case on the website to add. Has anyone managed to do it and got any tips? Thanks so much

Redwinestillfine · 26/08/2020 09:00

@uselessInDisguise just be careful, I had the same thought about using flavourly beer for my DH's advent calendar last year but the offer batch I got had a really short shelf life so I ended up having to just give them to him and sort something else for the calendar. The glasses the beer came with were nice though!

recklessgran · 26/08/2020 09:01

Sylvanian families nursery bus down to £17.24 today on Amazon. I've ordered for DGD - it will do for her 3rd birthday in October. Just got to get the kids to put in it now.

BestofLuck · 26/08/2020 09:07

Thanks so much for the Twitter tip @jumper1234 - the Lego deals account is great!

Amazon have a limited time deal today on this Lego City people pack space research and development at £27.99. It’s also that price on John Lewis website with 20% off, hence the link.

My son’s had his eye on this set for a while, so I’m very pleased. Thanks again.

The new switch came out at the start of the year, it's got w better battery than the original

I don't think they'll go much cheaper and expect they they'll be hard to get hold of so I wouldn't leave it too late

We got ds one for his birthday and it's brilliant! Mario kart & minecraft are his fav games

IggyAce · 26/08/2020 09:21

White stuff have some Christmas theme socks in their accessory sale down to £2 a pair, they also have everyday socks too, great as a stocking filler.

rosebb1 · 26/08/2020 09:22

Been wondering about the switch lites for Xmas, but don't want a console with web browser. Don't mind online games with friends...just don't want them accessing a web browser/email etc.

Does anyone know if the switch lites have web browser access? Thanks!
