Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

A bit off topic - but where does everyone hide and store their Christmas bargains when this far ahead? And also keep track of what you’ve got?

In a massive cupboard that I at 5'8 need to stand on a chair to reach. I reckon I've got a while before my kids are tall enough as the eldest is only 5 but it does present issues for present wrapping after a few drinks. We have an old house with loads of impractical interesting cupboards.

Luxplus · 25/08/2020 17:27

@birdlady12 I live in Denmark. Some things are more expensive here but other are cheaper than UK so it balance out.

steggyandrex · 25/08/2020 17:33

Has anyone got a Nintendo switch? Am thinking about one for 9 year old, she's played old fifa on an old ps3 and thinking about something decent but don't really want to get her massively into gaming so not sure about PS4/Xbox? Also do they usually go on offer?

steggyandrex · 25/08/2020 17:34

We have one of these that was our shoe storage in a previous life www.dunelm.com/product/foldable-grey-ottoman-1000111410

It lives in our built in wardrobe and fits looooads in - definitely recommend it.

@steggyandrex

I've just bought a switch to give my son for his october birthday. What I've found is a lot of games being released atm are towards that console now. It's pretty much the new gen.

The ps4 is likely to go down in price with the ps5 coming out soon. Games are pretty reasonably priced as well and usually in offers, smiths tends to do 2 lego games for £30 for example or have games of the week that go right down in price.

If you dont want her massively into gaming it might it be worth saving the hundreds you would spend on a console and get an ipad/tablet instead for free game apps?

torthecatlady · 25/08/2020 17:53

@nickdrakeslovechild Blush I've bought the pink snood but it hasn't been delivered yet.

MulberryPeony · 25/08/2020 17:58

@Cherryrainbow was it the switch proper of the switch lite? Struggling to find stock of the lite in aqua for DS’s birthday next week and been looking for the past month.

Cherryrainbow · 25/08/2020 18:05

I got the proper one in black, my local smyths only had 5 delivered last month all the black full consoles, no lites or the red and blue ones. I managed to nab one as they all went within the hour. Switches haven't been delivered in months to most shops and are still sporadic - it seems to be that when they do come into stock they're being snapped up quickly as people have been on the watch for them. I think smyths and argos are getting stock in about now so it's worth keeping an eye out on the websites regularly, its hard to tell which ones they will get in though x

I've just been into Lidl and successful got the farm animal duplo at £7 thanks to a pp. While there they had their wooden toy food sets in the clearance aisle. I picked up a pizza for £1 and a birthday cake and meat/fish set for £2 each! Probably just your luck though

Clevererthanyou · 25/08/2020 18:11

Hallo 😊 Has anyone tried the Sanctuary hot cloth polishing bargain yet? I used mine today and my face has gone red and blistered, my gp doesn’t think it’s an allergic reaction but it has signs of being a very mild chemical burn. It’s probably just my bloody skin being its typical self but maybe it could be a good idea to do a test patch before using? Happy bargain hunting 😁

Thenagainmaybenot · 25/08/2020 18:12
