Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

I've just looked at the body shop advent calendar. Does anyone know if they ever get reduced pre christmas? Before I take the plunge and order one

TryingtobePrepared · 25/08/2020 13:52

Dust and things looks amazing and free international postage is amazing - thank you so much

I was looking at them as well this morning. If I remember correctly, they do not usually get included in offers or discounts.

I have somehow (no idea how) managed to find myself in a Facebook group of one of the school mums who sells body shop from home... she seems to have offers on things so was planning to keep an eye on that to see if they get a discount on them at all. Otherwise I think it has to be bought at full price. Boo.

Goldistheanswer · 25/08/2020 14:14

I’ve just taken the plunge and ordered the Body Shop calendar. It was sold out last year and dd has had a rough time recently so I thought I’d treat her.

Fubbs · 25/08/2020 14:20

@birdlady12 - thanks for the discount code, got something for my sister to make up for losing her personalised Land's End blanket last year!

UselessInDisguise · 25/08/2020 14:23

Oh sod it, I just ordered the £50 one... I didn't want to miss out, and most of all, it was for ME! Can't remember the last time I treated myself and as a newbie to bodyshop it gives me a chance to try all the bits out. I'm rather excited (and proud of myself for splurging). I did try various codes though and none worked

birdlady12 · 25/08/2020 14:38

Are there any other mums on here who are not in the uk? I'm in France but buy everything from the uk. Its so expensive over here and there is nothing that inspires me to buy it! They also hardly ever have any special offers on!

PinkDaydreams · 25/08/2020 14:39

A pp last night told us about the lack of 24 bic felt pens on amazon. Just to let everyone know that Wilkos are doing the exact same pack for just £1.75.
Wilko also have a three pack of gardening gloves reduced down tojust 75p! They’d be nice in a gardening hamper or stocking

idontlikediging · 25/08/2020 14:48

Just incase your not aware the body shop at home is an mlm

margaritasbythesea · 25/08/2020 14:49

Birdlady12 - until recently I was in Spain looking frantically for free or cheap international delivery as everything was so expensive there. My favourites were Narks, Asos, Lisa Angel though it might be different or have changed. Also, paypal used to have a certain number of international returns you could get refunded up to £15.

NightOwl19 · 25/08/2020 15:06

I got away for a weekend and miss so much!!! I have DSS birthday in less then two week so need to focus on that: going to scroll back through with coffee and cake and see what bargains I've missed

Gustavo1 · 25/08/2020 15:36

Good discounts on ELC today.
1/3 off some wooden toys and some musics toys. The garage we have was under £30 and is excellent

MsMiaWallace · 25/08/2020 15:44

Anyone ordered from BargainMax before? I've just put an order in. They've got a good selection of toys at good prices. Free delivery when spending £4.99.

Wtfdidwedo · 25/08/2020 15:51

I've used Bargain Max a few times before with no issues!

DaisyChops · 25/08/2020 15:52

I've used bargain max before and would recommend, just to say thought they often have offers like spend £50 save £10 etc so might be worth hanging on if you're not in a hurry!

DaisyChops · 25/08/2020 15:53

Sorry just noticed you've already ordered!

TheGriffle · 25/08/2020 15:57

I’ve ordered from BargainMax a few times over the last couple of years and never had any problems.

hiredandsqueak · 25/08/2020 16:13

Decent savings on Neals Yard on amazon. Just ordered lavender bath salts for dd's stocking.

PinkFluffyForeskin · 25/08/2020 16:37

Someone had to do it 😂😂

noodledoodler · 25/08/2020 16:48

@sorryiasked

Brand Alley have some good deals on men's watches Also ladies watches, purses, bags etc from radley And Jersey pottery fish decorated crockery (I love the sardine run design but can't justify the cost 😕)
I got a beautiful Orla Kiely watch from brand alley, lowest price I saw anywhere
Hophop26 · 25/08/2020 17:07

A bit off topic - but where does everyone hide and store their Christmas bargains when this far ahead? And also keep track of what you’ve got?

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/08/2020 17:14

I keep lists on the "Notes" app on my phone - one for each child and another one for everyone else.

I keep my stash in the ottoman of my bed. Older children so don't need to hide giant boxes. Makeup, jewellery and PS4 games don't take up too much space.

PattyPan · 25/08/2020 17:18

@Hophop26 I don’t have DC yet so don’t have to deal with that challenge but I have just called my mum to ask if she can hide an Oodie for DP at her house which I found thanks to this thread! We also have an ottoman bed with storage underneath so that will make a good hiding place for when DC do come along. I’ve got a plastic crate with lid in the spare room wardrobe that I’ve started putting food bits (half price pringles, schloer etc) in as well and made a list on my phone of what’s in there and what presents I have bought and still need to get. I use Evernote for all my notes because it syncs with my laptop as well.

DaisyChops · 25/08/2020 17:20

I usually send all presents to my DH work and then when he brings them home I'm
like OMG have I really ordered that much! Trying to keep them at home now so I don't go mad!

Going back to what pp said, is the Smyths £10 off £50 really not on this year as I save a fortune there usually!
