Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@FireflyGirl thanks for the Dorothy Perkins code I’ve ordered scarves for my a few people on my list and a few bits for my teen dd.

kulaexchange · 21/08/2020 05:25

@MissMarple0203 I've bought several of the non branded magformers on amazon (just type in magnetic tiles). They've all been excellent so far and the tiles are all the same size so you can mix different sets up and they'll still be compatible.

For an alternative to hotel chocolat hot chocolate flakes I can recommend pendragon drinks. I have no affiliation with them, just found them when I was searching for cinnamon hot chocolate online. I ordered 3 samples and have since been given some bigger bags for my birthday. They do some interesting flavours!

Would the lavazza machine do enough for 2 children at once? I think I might treat the kids if it goes down to £20 again

We've got a de longhi coffee machine with the steamer spout at the side though so wondering if I should try that?!

With the lavazza one though ds could use it himself I think

xoxogossipgirl2020 · 21/08/2020 08:02

@TheGirlWhoLived I’m not sure if you’ve already seen but the happyland rose cottage is in the entertainer clearance?

friskybivalves · 21/08/2020 08:09

Turtle Doves have sent an email saying all their items are in the sale if anyone is after some snuggly sustainable cashmere!

FeltCarrot · 21/08/2020 08:34

Now I really want a Lavazza milk frother! Sorry if these questions have already been asked but, how much milk does it froth in one go and which one is it? There seem to be two, one around £40 and another that has a sort of handle. Thinking the student DC might like one each.

FeltCarrot · 21/08/2020 08:41

Have just answered my first question by googling! 🤣

allatonce99 · 21/08/2020 08:41

Buy a gift are doing £10 off a £20 spend with code QUICK10, seems they are always sending me codes!

Thank you for sharing your code, it was worth a try! I'm not 100% sold on whether to buy one or not! I do like a hot chocolate. I think I will message hotel Chocolat and get a code and then I have the option...

PinkDaydreams · 21/08/2020 08:49

It’s the one without the handle I bought. It does one cup at a time. There are a couple of fill lines on it but I always add more and go over the lines as I’ve got a couple of huge mugs I like to have my milky drinks in!

Courtney555 · 21/08/2020 08:50

I don't know how bargainous they can be found, but I have the Dualit milk frother thing. It's excellent. I think it was about £60 when I got it about 4yrs ago.

Is it me, or does a "velvetiser" sound like a premium word for milk frother and people are paying a fortune for it? Because that's the only difference I can see. Mine does froth, hot drinks, cold drinks...

I haven't seen the velvetiser though, maybe it looks a lot nicer than the Dualit one? But again, it's not something you display, it lives in a cupboard.

AinmNua · 21/08/2020 09:41

SideOrderOfChips hopefully you’re still on here. Have you seen that Red has stopped shopping to the Channel Islands?? They cancelled my order yesterday despite sending to me just two weeks ago Hmm

Raindancer411 · 21/08/2020 09:45

I got a lavazza for xmas last year and it does enough for one cup, but the milk is not piping hot. I usually top it up with boiling water in the cup.

IggyAce · 21/08/2020 09:52

Birchbox

AUG505 gets you August’s box for £5.05 plus p&p.

Debenhams have upto 70% off.

starlight36 · 21/08/2020 10:02

Agree the Dogman books are great value in the Amazon 2 for £7. We've bought quite a few books during lockdown in the offer, I've found that some books not in the offer sneak into the full list. I usually check they all have the 2 for £7 underneath the individual listing and then the code works.

Mrsfussypants1 · 21/08/2020 10:07

Pissingkitten the cocoba hot chocolate bombes from JL mine have use by end fab 2021. X

PissingKitten · 21/08/2020 10:13

Thank you Mrsfussypants1. That's a big help. I'm placing my order now!

lexloofah · 21/08/2020 10:24

Thnx for 2 for £7 tip, the list is pretty good with books from little ones to YA and actually had two that were on my list (Wilbur Smith's Cloudburst and Toto Ninja cat) and even better came in at £5 for the two

I am afraid I have nothing to offer in return I guess I need to start signing up to all those marketing emails that I usually opt out of ...

bagginses · 21/08/2020 10:43

Lakeland voucher code £5 off £30- 1275 8011 3019 7153

Lakeland voucher code £10 off £60- 1275 8111 3126 6700

I'm not sure if they are 1 use or not but hopefully useful for someone :)

tabbycat985 · 21/08/2020 11:07

www.geekstore.com/collections/homeware/products/official-star-wars-new-hope-candle-set

This Star Wars candle set is a great price at £5 with free shipping.
This website in general is pretty good for the geeky/teens in your life but you do have to poke about for bargains as they don't have a sale section

Raindancer411 · 21/08/2020 11:07

@Mrsfussypants1 Was that using the JL code for the cocoba? It's not working for me

bookish83 · 21/08/2020 11:24

I'm sure those working in services know about it but it is really worth getting a Blue Light Card for discounts. So many different retailers and it is only £5 to sign up for it.

Seasalt for example were 50% off last month

PowerslidePanda · 21/08/2020 11:26

@bagginses - Nice of you to share! I don't need anything from Lakeland at the moment, but usually buy from their Christmas gift range when it launches, so just wondered how you got the codes, please? I.e. is there some mailing list that I should be signing up to now?

NoWordForFluffy · 21/08/2020 11:47

@PowerslidePanda, yes, Lakeland have something to sign up to (may be My Lakeland). There'll be a link on the website. My DH is signed up and gets regular vouchers.

Mrsfussypants1 · 21/08/2020 11:50

Yes, I ordered the non vegan version (box has palm leaves on). It worked when I put it through, can't remember if it was saturday/Sunday, but I just paid £2 click and collect. I read somewhere on this thread the code had changed slightly.
