Thought l should share it with you here first l felt duty bound 😂 Hope all ok maniac it might be something and nothing. There's so much traffic around arm.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/08/2020 15:52

Eek Mrs the start of the Christmas foods!

Mrsmadevans · 17/08/2020 15:53

ATM 😂

pussycatinboots · 17/08/2020 16:07

I can't stand ferero rocher and can't be bothered to spell check it either the coconut ones are foul. Almost as bad as turkish delight.

In other news...I'm still waiting for a man...

DH has been banished to the back garden to do some "tidying".

Mrs when it restarts, I can give you the background on Pobol Y Cwm Wink including the gorgeous Garry Monk (played by Richard Lynch who is also in Hinterland and Keeping Faith).

As part of my attempts to be more sustainable in my purchases I want to do fill your own reusable crackers this year. That way I can make sure the things people get will actually get used and none of the packaging goes to waste either. I was thinking something like this. I assume this is just a loo roll tube filled with a joke and a small item wrapped by Christmas cloth and a ribbon? I know they won't snap and you won't be able to pull them, do you think guests would mind that?

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/08/2020 16:42

Would help if I attached the pic!

MarshmallowManiac · 17/08/2020 17:07

You're very kind Mrs Wink it looks fabulous. Yes I really hope so Smile

Sounds great Most, you could shout 'bang' when you're pulling it Grin

pussycatinboots · 17/08/2020 17:08

most sounds fab, you can fill each one with an individual in mind. Much better than mass produced ones, although will you need hats?

Still waiting for a man...

CrazyBaubles · 17/08/2020 17:09

This is going to sound a bit mean but I avoid S4C because a lot of accents annoy me 🙉 and when an English word get said mid welsh sentence it gives me the rage Blush

That dessert looks 😍 MrsMad - will add it to my list for Christmas Day / eve

As an adult I wouldn't have any issues with the crackers but as a child I would have wanted the snap. Can you still buy just the snap things (no idea what they're called)? I know as a child we got some from hobbycraft and I made my own crackers using loo roll, crepe paper, wrapping paper and glitter they were gaudy and awful and I was so proud Xmas Grin

First day of work done. My brain is broken - DH wanted us to go out for tea but everywhere is full which I don't mind, the weather is awful here.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/08/2020 17:13

MIL thinks she has some of the snaps in her craft room so will dig them out :) DS will be the only child and he is very into eco club at nursery (and doesn't like loud noises) so is fully on board but if MIL finds them we have that option.

That is a major plus point for me boots! Was thinking a lego minifigure SIL's bf as he likes Lego. Seeds for MIL as she is into gardening etc.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/08/2020 18:28

Good Luck with The Man there boots (I;m guessing a Boiler Engineer rather than just A Randon Man)

I have sent DH off to search out gutter/roofers , one of ours is overflowing (and I think leaking) even after DH climbed up the ladder to scoop a load of debris out .

Got back to the drive under about 3" of water , had a prod about in the drain (choked with weeds ) it helped a bit .

QVC have Christmas things today , no idea what the TSV (Todays Special Value) is though . They've got some Hotel Chocolat but I don't think I'd like all of them (its £54 worth)

I need to look for an iron too (I don't iron, DH does but he WFH now)
I bought a new kettle though ..it is Quiet and it Pours nicely unlike the old one .
Easily pleased me Xmas Grin

Saw today that Cadburys have launched their Christmas 2020 range. Lots of great stocking fillers and a lovely collectible Emma Bridgewater tin of Roses🤗😋www.facebook.com/273368722682870/posts/3462942590392118/?sfnsn=mo

Mrsmadevans · 17/08/2020 19:05

I don't rate any of them Sad

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/08/2020 19:11

They are pants aren't they mrs!

I plan to get the nice roses tin :)

So DS was all better by 10:30 this morning and wasn't actually sick just lethargic so he will be in nursery tomorrow while I actually rest. I'm consoling myself that this will all help with the weight loss!

sideorderofchips · 17/08/2020 19:32

Can tell its tourist season. The zoo was heaving. Won't be going back there till tourist season is over

Also went for a run and am not off running for a week St least as have shin splints

NoWordForFluffy · 17/08/2020 19:36

We're on the way home. Going through a MAHOOSIVE rain storm in Preston. It's bonkers!

We had dinner out at Pizza Express which was a bargain thanks to the government in conjunction with TopCashback (it was free essentially!).

Kids often bounce back quickly, dong they? At least you can pack him off to nursery tomorrow!

I love those crackers, Most.

Crazy, you need to give your poor brain a rest!

If you aren't on the bargain thread Cath Kidston have a sale on at the mo. Grabbed a few small things which will work for a range of people.
