Here we go. We're still a chatty bunch. We're going to knock any previous thread count into a cocked hat!

Go, go, go...

What make is it? I think boilers are generally made of similar bits these days. And 20 years is relatively recent history!

Otherwise, just keep twatting it!

Great sock puppets MrsMad - can definitely recognise them from a distance Xmas Smile

I've never watched 27 dresses. Loved Suits up until season 8 when I lost interest.

puss I'm not sure I'd be able to watch something with subtitles - my eyes are rubbish and I like to be doing something (writing / crochet / sewing) at the same time. I may give it a go though as I'm very short on things to watch.

Fingers crossed this isn't the end of your boiler 🤞🏼

First day back at work after my holiday today Fluffy, with the added stress / nerves of the first day doing my new job so I get what you mean 😕

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/08/2020 08:03

Hope you have a good first day back crazy

DS is now feeling sick so nursery is cancelled and the two of us are sharing the sofa.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/08/2020 08:06

Good luck, Crazy!

Oh no, Most. Quiet sofa day ahead. Maybe watch some Christmas films!

Sorry you're all unwell most

I couldn't sleep last night and then got woken up by the dc arguing Angry I should take them out really but then I end up spending money (even if it's fuel) so I don't really want to.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/08/2020 08:15

I'm just relieved this is happening now and not during our holiday this weekend. As stomach bugs usually only last 24-48 hours even if DH comes down with it later today we should all be better by Friday.

WreckTangled · 17/08/2020 08:21

Phew that is a good thing. I always worry about us getting unwell when we're due to go on holiday (one of the reasons I got the dc vaccinated against chicken pox!).

sideorderofchips · 17/08/2020 08:28

I'm not a fan of sock puppets. Always seen a tad creepy to me.

I'm off to the zoo today with my lot

NoWordForFluffy · 17/08/2020 09:47

Does nobody else have 'It's a puppet!' in their head?! 😂😂

Mrsmadevans · 17/08/2020 10:03

I did last night @Fluffy 😂😂😂

MarshmallowManiac · 17/08/2020 10:18

Morning everyone.
Pretty calm here today, there isn't even any wind out at all. Had to start the day by knocking on one of our neighbours doors three times as he and his massive van had parked across our parking space, and I couldn't get out to take DD to work! Angry

Oh no Boots hope not too many £££s.

Glad you're feeling better Most 7up sometimes calms a tender tum. Hope you get to have a nice, restful day, ready for Bluestone, it looks fabulous, my DC and me would love it. Hope your DS is feeling better soon, duvet day for you. Smile

Enjoy your first day Crazy Flowers

Enjoy the zoo Chips

Well DS has perked right back up, how do kids do it?

Just did some Christmas shopping online with JL. They have some lovely little gifts in their under £20 section. I have had to send them a message though as they labelled these socks as girls! I have still bought them for DS though as they are lovely.

I'd (wrongly!) say they were more boy-ish anyway!! Definitely 'unisex' - is that allowed?

I'll stop talking now...

MarshmallowManiac · 17/08/2020 10:43

Why can't they just say socks, not socks for girls/boys surely whatever gender likes the socks is the gender that they're for. Hate pink for girls and blue for boys too, when my kids were younger I would deliberately put them in the so called 'wrong' colour. Right rant over Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 17/08/2020 10:44

Lovely socks by the way Most, sure my DS would have loved these growing up.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/08/2020 10:56

I am on a role with my Christmas shopping today! Went on the Amnesty shop as they sell Fairtrade chocolate coins and also picked up a brass tealight holder reduced to £3 and some lavender bags which DGMIL will love for just over £5 :)

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/08/2020 10:59

Or indeed on a roll!

NoWordForFluffy · 17/08/2020 11:59

Did you get the £10 JL discount floating round, Most?

OP posts:
Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/08/2020 12:12

Oh no I didn't fluffy darn it.

CrazyBaubles · 17/08/2020 12:51

Always better to get illness out of the way while you're at home most
Love the socks, they're very cute.
Also, thank you for introducing me to the Amnesty shop. Never heard of it before but I've just had a little nose around the site and think I'll be buying a fair bit from there....

Enjoy the zoo chips

How could we get the JL discount Fluffy?

Right, back to work. I've taken a break as it's been a full on first day so far.
Feeling quite festive though - DH needed something from the attic so he had to get the Christmas decs down as they were in the way so they're surrounding me in my office / spare room and now he's downstairs making soup so the house smells amazing ☺️

NoWordForFluffy · 17/08/2020 12:52

Crazy, it's MYHOME for £10 off Home and Garden (no minimum spend). You need a My John Lewis card and to be logged in.

fluffy it's a Glow-worm Ultimate BF (not a combi) - waiting for a man to phone me back...talk me down from strangling a pacing DH - he's more impatient than I am!!🤯😲 I think he's bored because he doesn't want to start some "chore" 🤔 then stop to answer the phone, even though it's me that's dealing with it...🤬 because he told me to phone, thinking a woman calling would get a man here faster sexist bollocks

I may be back later for advice about laying a new patio and some help digging a 6'2" hole...and an alibi

fluffy & Crazy Have you tried any of the "Welsh Noir" genre? Hinterland(Y Gwyll), Hidden(Craith) series 1 and Keeping Faith(Un Bore Mercher) series 1 are very good. Hidden and KF were both filmed twice - once in English and once in Welsh(Welsh name in brackets). I'm sure you'd like them. Once I get you converted Grin there's some really good dramas on S4C/Clic (FREE - no subscription) 35 Diwrnod was excellent, I really didn't work out the ending!!

most oh dear, I hope you're both feeling a bit better now.

Side Are you tempted to leave some of them at the zoo? Wink

MarshmallowManiac · 17/08/2020 15:16

Was on my way to Morrisons and saw Police/Fire/ambulance across the junction to the motorway, turned back as couldn't get past. Hope everyone involved is ok. Sad

Loved Hinterland Boots so so good.
