Most that is beautiful. It reminds me of one of my Christmas jigsaws.

We had Plumbs covers on our last sofa but one. They were plain coloured cotton brocade and gave the suite a new lease of life. They were necessary after the great carpet debacle of 2003.

Have taken delivery of PJ bottoms for DS's Christmas PJs today. The stash is coming on nicely. I'm knitting a hat for a friend now and then it's socks (3 pairs) and some Woolly Hugs stuff.

Bit of a day all round. Never quite got to Ikea today, car on it's last legs anyway conked out in the middle of the motorway, thank God we got over safely to the hard shoulder. Had to wait 2 1/2 hours for the breakdown van to arrive. They think the belt snapped so could be up to £1000 to fix don't really feel car is really worth that

t'was a bit blowy in the night - NDNs patio furniture has shifted a full 6' so DH will move it back later when it stops raining when he checks on the hamster and the bonsai Cat stayed out so I fed him at 5 when I got up.
I'm sure it's darker now than it was half an hour ago...

Biddy I don't know how you fit it all in!!

What a wild night only the weather, thankfully! It's meant to calm down today. I'll be putting the washing out after breakfast, so that'll get a good blow!

NDN's cat is brave or stupid going out in this weather.

One of the good things about working from home is that I can get my Pointless fix. Love Pointless!

It's really sunny here today. Think we're going to get ds' hair cut then go out for waffles or something. Maybe a walk to the castle ruins. DH is still in bed I'm going to be pissed off if he does this the whole two weeks he's off.

"Down west" is great alright Marshmallow - Westport is beautiful, and Connemara and Donegal. But my main spot is west Clare, I've been going since I was 11 and DPs bought a house there about 15 years ago now so we retreat there on occasion.

I can see sunshine too, and the wind has dropped somewhat (but not entirely yet). I forgot to get washing in the machine last night, so hoping it will be washed before the next lot of showers blows through.

Went out for waffles. Unfortunately after ordering we realised they're not taking part in eat out to help out ££££££

It was ds first day of school today. It was very emotional even though he was only in for an hour. He got a special sticker from his teacher so he's delighted.

Neros I howled like a baby dropping DD2 off for her first day of primary. I was fine until I saw my friend who was a snotty mess. I held it together until I got back to the car, then I let loose Funny thing is I can't remember doing the same with the other two.

I love Pointless - definitely have a soft spot for Richard. I do love an obscure answer - I'm not sure I'd have remembered on my own that JRJ was in Chitty Boots but knew it as soon as you said it. My favourite is still university challenge though - I'm blown away by the breadth of knowledge of the contestants. I sound like an old fogey
