I went to a wedding in Tenby 20+ years ago. I love the place - very jealous most. I remember the hotel having huge plate glass windows built into the cliff. It was stunning watching the stormy seas while eating breakfast.

Cross stitchers on this thread I've bought DD1 a project bag for her stitching. What can I fill it with? She's got my little scissors and a 9" hoop. already. I thought about a small hoop (4-5") and maybe one of those thread organiser cards. I think I've seen thin wooden ones on Etsy. Any more ideas?

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 23/08/2020 15:21

A needle minder woolly? You can get some lovely ones.

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/08/2020 15:34

I'm looking at this most and it's got a magnet in the middle which does the job of a needle minder but the needle minders are lovely. I might get her one anyway if I can find one that has some meaning for her. Rose/Rome/Initial - that kind of thing. I think I'm going to look for a needle case too

NoWordForFluffy · 23/08/2020 15:43

I'm truly knackered. And soaking in the bath now! I could barely walk home...I didn't feel tired until I'd finished, weirdly.

I removed the old peas and weeds around them mostly big weeds and have sown some more of the seeds DH got me for growing through autumn into winter.

See piles of weeds / peas removed and how the area looks now attached. There are still a few weeds left on the surface, but I care not! 😂😂

Having just spent the last half-hour unpicking some light green, which should have been yellow green she needs a stitch unpicker. Also a new pair of 👀 might be handy... Daylight bulb if she's stitching in an evening would be fab.

Mrs Oh wow, I didn't know you were so talented!! Do you take requests?

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/08/2020 16:04

Is that icing or prunes MrsMad 🤣

pussycatinboots · 23/08/2020 16:07

Woolly Coal?

Mrsmadevans · 23/08/2020 16:08

I will make you one Boot and anyone who would like one , l love making cakes Grin
It is figs Woolly my poor NDN Rosemary suffered terrrrrrrribly with constipation and l tried to help with the cakes constitution and hers Smile

Mrsmadevans · 23/08/2020 16:09

What with my medical background, l knew what l could put in it to help her relieve herself. I was going to put Senna leaves as eyes but they didn't look as good as the figs .

pussycatinboots · 23/08/2020 16:14

Mrs You could have used dried apricots, although admittedly a yellow-eyed panda would look a little odd.

Mrsmadevans · 23/08/2020 16:19

Boot it's a Snowman or perhaps that was a typo ? Smile

pussycatinboots · 23/08/2020 16:21

Oh, sorry - I am mortified. Blush
Although it could double up as a birthday cake for a little kiddy who likes pandas Smile not sure where you'd stick the candles though.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/08/2020 16:23

not sure where you'd stick the candles though.

Into the top of its head. Like the zombie panda snowman it is!

Mrsmadevans · 23/08/2020 16:26

Holothane · 23/08/2020 16:38

Those cakes are fantastic.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 23/08/2020 16:47

Blimey Mrs, the figs for eyes on that 'snowman' are inspired. Can't beat cake with a laxative for those stuffed up days.

Mrsmadevans · 23/08/2020 16:51

Ohhh thank you soooo sooo much Holothane so kind of you to acknowledge the creativity it takes to make these cakes. l love them so much, l did a rainbow cake for the NHS staff in my local hospital to thank them.
