Hav a lovely day everyone 😃

WreckTangled · 22/08/2020 10:45

Have been food shopping and need to go and see my mum this afternoon. I'm so tired. Also disappointed I didn't win the euro millions but looks like no one did.

CrazyBaubles · 22/08/2020 12:23

I'm not quite sure what happened with my internet browsing last night. I like the idea of Christmas bedding and if I lived on my own, I'd probably add a cushion and possibly some fairy lights but the bedrooms I found were a bit much.

70 I love the idea of being snowed in somewhere cosy - hasn't happened yet although I have been snowed in at home once or twice.

Fingers crossed for lots of apples next year Constantly

Are you back from the rabbit hole Neros? I've just started 12 Dates of Christmas - I'm at the beginning of the date. The version of 12 days of Christmas they keep playing is awful

Can you imagine winning that much money Wreck? I'd be in a first class plane seat the following day and probably wouldn't come home for months.

I've been to my Mams for a visit. I was a bit disappointed, she left my teapot in her car which my dad has taken for the day

Home now & watching the film. Going to walk the dog, sort out more laundry and tidy the spare room / my office later.

WreckTangled · 22/08/2020 12:31

Crazy I'd be on a private jet to a secluded location for a week to decide how best to use my winnings Grin that's a shame about the teapot.

Dh went out last night and hasn't moved from the sofa all day. I'm not impressed.

CrazyBaubles · 22/08/2020 15:10

I have a plan for if I ever win Wreck. Go away and travel for a few months. Buy a bungalow for dsis incase nephew isn't able to walk. Buy smallholding for DH & I. Buy new cars all around. Write a lot of cheques to people who I like / have helped me. Pay off mortgages for ILs and parents. Lots of holidays, and extended amount of time (inc Christmas) in Canada, somewhere snowy. Personal trainer / dietician. Private fertility treatment. Not that I've thought about it much 😂

Is your DH up and being useful yet? If not, surely that means you get tomorrow off?

Neros my crush was still there. Film finished a while ago and isn't great but ah, he just seems so lovely 🥰

Mrsmadevans · 22/08/2020 15:28

Afternoon everyone Smile
Have been to Mum & Bob's , Mum asked me to leave the 'You' section of her Sunday Mail at her home in Crickhowell for my sister to have withut my Mum seeing it . I went nuts. ' l said she can fin well buy her own fin paper or she can come up here and visit you and get it from you' .
I fell fr it again l must stop doing this but l had just come in with a black bag full of washing with at least 3 washing loads of bedding in it from changing their beds. I thought what a cheek there's me with all this work and she waves her little finger and my Mum wants us to bow down to her . I know what it is though , it's like she is poking me to get me to lose it. l could kick myself , l should have just said yes of course and not done it. l'm such an idiot.
Wreck your poor Dh Grin he must be feeling hungover Grin
If l won I would pay someone to do all my meals and the cleaning and to drive me everywhere and to go on holiday to my own holiday home in Tenby. l would have a pad in London right it in the heart , ohhh l would love that Grin

WreckTangled · 22/08/2020 16:14

We're going away tomorrow which is why things need doing today. I've been gone almost three hours and all I can see that he's done is clean the bathroom Hmm

Wreck he's probably feeling quite rough still 😂 Are you going somewhere nice? Hope you have a lovely time 😁
WreckTangled · 22/08/2020 16:59

Yes mrs the hotel we booked! I'm pretty excited Grin and I thought the dc would be distraught when we told them, as they hate us going away, but they were fine about it.

NoWordForFluffy · 22/08/2020 17:13

Crazy, I have made plans too. Detailed ones. Shame we'll never win! 😩

Wreck, enjoy your night away tomorrow. I'm sorry your DH has been mostly a waste of space today. Not helpful.

I've been to the allotment and harvested for 4 hours. Tomorrow is weeding day!

I'm drowning in runner beans. I think I need to start distributing them round everyone I know. And people I don't! 😂😂

I got a nice haul of spuds, loads of sweetcorn and baby corn, peas, leeks, rhubarb, blackberries, parsnips, plus green / fine / dwarf beans and the many, many runner beans!

Ooh lovely sweetcorn Fluffy I used to get unreasonably excited to see sweetcorn-in-leaf in our local market ( usuallly 3/£1) our guinea-pigs loved them.

I have no guinea-pigs now and sweetcorn gets stuck in my teeth Grin

I noticed on Wednesday the amount of autumn leaves when I went to the carpark at work. My own garden is overgrown with green after all the rain. Need to tie up the Virginia Creeper and cut back all the overhanging branches .

I have the Lakeland Limited Atumn Catalogue (paper copy not virtual) to browse through and think about soup (which I do make) and jam ( which I don't)

Count me I. I’m jumping for joy brought mil present down from 250 to 60 quid I grabbed it, I’m thrilled it’s 10 silk masks for her, she has very sensitive skin, we have discussed this so not an unwanted present. But to get such a wonderful price for it, I’m so happy from Lilysilk, as for me dh has said I’m having the away kit for Liverpool this year, love the colours. Lots of carols and faith stuff as well.

Mrsmadevans · 22/08/2020 22:46

Are you. Salesperson for this brand ?

Holothane · 22/08/2020 22:57

No sorry if I’ve offended, I’m just a customer, but won’t mention again.

WreckTangled · 23/08/2020 06:13

Worst nights sleep ever. I'm annoyed because I don't want to spend today tired. I already had a crap nights sleep Friday night Sad and tonight will be a late night too.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/08/2020 07:35

Morning!

We had so much rain yesterday evening; it absolutely bucketed down. The allotment was already really wet quite deep down, so I may be swimming today (some plots have flooded, though mine isn't one that floods first).

@Holothane, I think you possibly meant to post in the bargain thread maybe?

Wreck, sorry about the shit sleep. It's always when you can least deal with it that it happens, isn't it?

NerosFiddle · 23/08/2020 09:58

Morning.

I've had an order come this morning and he was here early. Everyone was still in their pjs. Aw well I'm sure they've seen worse.

Crazy did you enjoy the film? It's one of my favourite cheesy/hallmark kind of ones. But you're right that song does go through you.

It's still really humid here. It's affecting my sleep no end. Can't we be in October yet?!

pussycatinboots · 23/08/2020 12:51

If you are watching the Touring Cars on ITV4 you will see the weather we have...☔☔☔
NDNs cat has had tuna for lunch. He's a hungry little soul.
Nero I agree with you, we should skip September and head straight into October Smile
Wreck hope you're still awake.

Holothane · 23/08/2020 13:15

124 thankyou I was so upset about it I was just happy at present bought for my beloved mil, they are the parents I never had feel much better now thankyou.🤗😊

Holothane · 23/08/2020 13:17

I’ve just put autumn bedding on I love this time next three months the run up to Christmas, started my shopping list, not going mad this year, just little luxuries.

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/08/2020 13:38

I think lots of us will be doing the same @Holothane My children are older and apart from a family get together we won't be missing out on too much if we aren't able to have the usual Christmas things. I'll miss the school carol concert too but we are long past the days of nativity plays and pantomimes.

Next on my list of things to buy food wise is a tin of treacle. I'll be making at least 3 small Christmas cakes. I've already bought some dried fruit but I think I'm going to need some more especially if I'm going to make some Christmas puddings and mincemeat too. I've still got a bit of mincemeat left over from last year but I used a recipe that called for butter instead of suet so I don't think it will have kept. I've got icing sugar and a tub of cocoa powder so I'm all set for the chocolate log.

Holothane · 23/08/2020 14:30

Oh wow I can’t cook now but last year we had tiny gift cakes from Morrison’s, is that allowed and we loved them, it’s keeping me going this planning and dreaming I’ll miss midnight mass though my first last year I loved it. 😊💐

Mrsmadevans · 23/08/2020 15:04
