I have not got any Christmas bedding. Maybe I need to invest in some this year indeed you must whydoes

I loved some M&S bedding patterned with tiny fir trees one year but it didn't appear in the sales in the size I wanted .
When I see the bedding of my dreams ( Ha Ha) I will know .

Lovely tea-pot Crazy and lovely of your DM to treat you .

I bought a stainless steel one for my DParents ( from The Range) and I was so impressed with it , I bought one for myself (even though I'm a rare tea-drinker . DD tries to make tea-in-the-cup , it needs to stew nicely in the pot )

Went up to their house recently to find them still using their scabby old stainless steel one ( practically copper coloured with tea staining Xmas Hmm ) , it has a short triangular spout that would rather pour the tea over the floor than in your cup.
The new one.............was happily sitting on the sideboard with my DMums Ugly Tea-Pot Collection.

I swapped the useless metal one for the nice one that won't give you 2nd degree burns when you just want a cup of Tetley . (I am still impressed when I use my tea-pot at how nice it pours . )

Our neighbours looked after our hamster when we went on holiday, and when we came back he had departed this life

Aww wee soul. Sad

I have Cat Watched my brothers cat ( or DS has Cat watched ) and she is a lovely cuddly but quite elderly cat . I always think "Don't die on my watch"
But it is inevitable that one day they will , and we were always aware with our guinea-pigs that the odds that one might die at Small Animal Boarding was the same as die at home .

When I left Bro Cat , happy that her folks were home and came back to my two disdainful moggies who don't do cuddles ...Grin

The night I got back from DParents , our female cat stayed out late (for her) didn't come indoors till 11pm. Protest that I was back . Xmas Grin

Crazy lovely pot. You'll have to update with the quality of the Brew

70 My mum used to soak her stained stainless steel Hmm teapot with sterident tablets once it turned black. The tea was a bit 🤢for a few weeks afterwards!

NoWordForFluffy · 21/08/2020 13:13

Denture cleaning tablets work a treat. I've never known them leave a taste though!

pussycatinboots · 21/08/2020 13:14

How many do you use? half a tube?

NoWordForFluffy · 21/08/2020 13:18

Thanks for the bedding tips folks will look for some after payday next week. I use a spoon of bicarbonate of soda for cleaning tea stains.

pussycatinboots · 21/08/2020 13:44

I soon learned how to make coffee!

pussycatinboots · 21/08/2020 13:46

A former colleague used to clean her tea mug with "Flash with bleach" spray.🤢

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/08/2020 13:52

Astonish paste on a sponge
Doesn't scratch and no aftertaste

I found a tube of leftover denture tablets and used them to clean the loo ! Brillliant .

NerosFiddle · 21/08/2020 13:58

Afternoon all.

I can barely move today. Can't wait to get into a hot bath to soak away all the aches.

I think I've said before but I got a Mary Berry teapot from boots after Christmas one year. It only makes about 3 cups but it's handy. Plus it can go into the dishwasher.

My dm puts bleach into the cups because I drink black tea to get rid of the stain. Too many times I've took a gulp and it's tasted of bleach 🤢.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/08/2020 14:09

Bleach really isn't needed! 🤮

I get my hand down the loo and give it a good scrub when I clean the bathroom. It's stayed much cleaner since I adopted that technique instead of the tablets!

Matalan will have their Christmas stuff out next month, Why. Might be worth waiting.

Boots my dear old Mum used to put Sterident tablets in or Daz washing powder to clean it. Was always sparkling clean though so must have worked. Grin

Yes it is inevitable 70 unfortunately. DD1 and partner are getting dogs soon, so I know we will be called upon, hoping against hope that it doesn't happen on my watch. Grin Love a good cup of tea out of a stainless teapot think it's the Irish in me Grin

Neros Flowers hope you feel better soon. Smile

Thank you Mrs he's really happy Smile ooh must take a peek in B&M Grin

pussycatinboots · 21/08/2020 18:09

Mrs I'd love to have a gun.
Thanks for the pic of the lanterns - I need those Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 21/08/2020 18:21

I'm going to check out B&M too. I popped in yesterday and say a few things creeping into their seasonal aisle. I'm looking for LED/battery powered candles. I've got a couple already but when I was at Belvoir Castle last year they were used so effectively in little groups on any flat surface that I'd like to try to recreate the look in Woolly Towers.

pussycatinboots · 21/08/2020 18:31

Woolly Towers Grin
That's why I want lanterns for tealights in Boots Manor Wink

I agree with you on the cold tea. Also, you need to have words with my DH who apparently believes milk is being rationed...I like a strong-ish cup, but not one that only has the milk wafted over it.
