Here we go. We're still a chatty bunch. We're going to knock any previous thread count into a cocked hat!

Go, go, go...

Crazy DH vetoed Christmas bedding for us but I found some nice stag themed and tartan duvet covers in brushed cotton which are perfect for (hmm hmm) winter.
It has been overcast and raining all day so I have been feeling autumnal.

TheWoollybacksWife · 19/08/2020 19:33

I don't have Christmas bedding either BUT last year I added a Christmas pillow. My bedding last year was cream and gold with red accessories. This year after we decorated last week it's cream and gold with dark green accessories so I think I can festive it up without going full Christmas. Although, I'm sure I found a green/white Christmas duvet set last year that I might just buy.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 19/08/2020 19:35

We have Christmas bedding too although I quite fancy getting some tartan ones that work all through autumn and winter.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/08/2020 19:52

We have Christmas bedding. It's grey / silver with white Christmas trees in it. Scandi-style. DH knows not to even consider thinking he can say no, ha ha!

One of my proud mother moments was DS picking out scandi style bedding for uni because it would be good for Christmas!

Snowbeau · 19/08/2020 20:10

I'm thinking of doing bedding on the 1st December for us all. I saw an elf on the shelf idea where elf changed the bedding in the middle of the night. I don't think my two are old enough to realise what bedding they've got on though!

CrazyBaubles · 19/08/2020 20:36

DH has previously spotted and vetoed bedding I was looking at online that was very muted mistletoe and has said an outright no to stags but I'm going to try tartan next - probably in an after christmas sale though, so he can't moan about the price 🙄
It's one of the only things he's asked for though so I don't want to push it - he doesn't really enjoy Christmas (except to watch me enjoy it IYSWIM) but he gets the boxes out of the attic, comes to Christmas shops with me, doesn't moan much when I add more and more lights everywhere etc.

most that doesn't sound good. Are you in pain / discomfort at all?

Mrsmadevans · 19/08/2020 21:10

Oh God Most l hope you are ok lovely Flowers
Crazy Matalan really do some great duvet covers that are not really Christmassy Grin

Mrsmadevans · 19/08/2020 21:12

However l realise l am talking to the converted Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 19/08/2020 21:21

We have Christmas bedding which we all I think DH does love, it usually goes on about 10th December. The DC would have it on all the time, but I tried to persuade them told them that it wouldn't be special if it was on all year. I would love it though Grin On our bed we have Christmas baubles which I love. I definitely think in the wedding ceremony there should be a line which reads 'Do you promise to change all bedding to Christmas bedding on the first Dec, without moaning or groaning or a big grumpy face' Grin

That sounds really good Snowbeau Smile

I hope you are ok Most

Love Matalan Christmas duvets Mrs Smile

Well panic over, it appears to in fact be the time of the month over a week early so this will be the third holiday in a row where I have to deal with it. We deliberately picked this weekend because it shouldn't have been an issue. I'm guessing the stomacb bug has messed with my cycle. I am so upset and angry. Was just looking forward to being able to go to the pool without having to deal with my moon Cup which is a nightmare due to my prolapse sitting exactly where it should. Makes it uncomfortable and also means it starts to fall out so every 10-15 mins I have to get out of the pool to correct. I'm not even sure if the loos at the pool will be open Sad

pussycatinboots · 19/08/2020 21:57

most well, in a way that's good news...even though it is pants. Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 19/08/2020 22:46

Morning!

I've been to the allotment this morning to pick beans. I did ask my in-laws to go while we were away, but they forgot, so I'm now drowning in beans. I'll have to go back tonight when I have more time - and the car! - to harvest everything there! I didn't even get to the blackberries at the back. 😂😂

127 good luck to all those will DC expecting GCSE results today.
Crazy - I bought our bedding in the post Christmas sales and another cover when Matalan sent out their 30% off voucher in the autumn

Mrsmadevans · 20/08/2020 10:51

Morning everyone 😀
@NoWordForFluffy they are amazing well done! You are an allotment Queen ! 😁
We did the same with Matalan too Constantly, l won't buy stuff unless l have a discount code 🤗
Scrooge bah humbuggery ! 😂
Good luck to everyone who has DC expecting Btec & GCSE results 👏😄

CrazyBaubles · 20/08/2020 11:36

I was this close >< to buying Christmas bedding from Matalan last year MrsMad so you're definitely talking to the converted! 😂

most that's very unlucky. Are you usually regular, cycle wise?
I know I'm not and I seem to have a knack of starting my period either on holiday or just as we get back, but the the lovely back pain and cramps for the last few days were away (managed to get it on day 2 of our campervan trip this year)🙄

Never mind shopping bags, you'll need a wheelbarrow to get your food home from the allotment Fluffy

Don't tempt me Constantly, I'm trying so hard not to buy stuff!

I'm taking a breather. Had a full on meeting first thing and my eyes are going square trying to read policies etc. This job is definitely Baptism by fire! 🤓🤯🥴

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 20/08/2020 13:38

Well it has stopped so I am quietly optimistic it will retreat until it is actually due!

NoWordForFluffy · 20/08/2020 13:49

Could it have been ovulation bleeding, Most?

OP posts:
Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 20/08/2020 13:50

Maybe fluffy although have never had that before. Just glad it has stopped :)

MarshmallowManiac · 20/08/2020 15:24

Morning everyone.
Lovely and sunny here at the moment. Just received DS's results and he did really well and got into his Sixth Form, really happy. Getting pizzas tonight to celebrate. Hope all others are all happy with their results too Smile

It's great news Most even if a pita, Grin

Wow they look great Fluffy

MarshmallowManiac · 20/08/2020 15:24

Sorry meant afternoon, was morning when I started to write it Grin

pussycatinboots · 20/08/2020 16:13

most I get that if I'm run down/ill/stressed, so it would explain things. Just take everything necessary just in case as sometimes mine can rumble on/spot for a few days. I've had it all checked out - it's just normal for me, apparently. Hmm

WreckTangled · 20/08/2020 19:51

Just had my first wax in a year. Ouch. The therapist was telling me how amazing my eyelashes are then unknowingly walked around Waitrose with my bra/boob half showing Blush

pussycatinboots · 20/08/2020 20:07

🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤣
