Here we go. We're still a chatty bunch. We're going to knock any previous thread count into a cocked hat!

Go, go, go...

We were going to B&Q this morning for a new handle for the kitchen window, but I've checked on Amazon and it's £4 cheaper and you don't have to cut the spindle down Grin

Mrsmadevans · 19/08/2020 07:22

AHH thank youFluffy 🤗
Don't they join date 🙄😁

Mrsmadevans · 19/08/2020 07:23

just! Not date ! 😂

pussycatinboots · 19/08/2020 07:27

Mrs have you been on the sherry already Wink
Glad DD is feeling better today.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/08/2020 07:38

Well done, Boots. Saving time and money!

Morning. It's really dark here and it's absolutely pouring down. Next door have had the same set of washing on their line for 3 days. I don't get it - it's rained on and off the entire time (as per forecast) so they're never going to dry!

MrsMad this is why I don't tend to tell my mum I'm ill, she worries so much and always offers to come and look after me even though I'm 35 and I hate being looked after when I'm ill!

puss nice bargain hunting there unless you're like me and end up buying a few extra bits from amazon while you're on there

fluffy can't believe you're half way done on your cross stitch already. My Coo is agonisingly slow!

pussycatinboots · 19/08/2020 07:49

And a return journey to B&Q to take it back because it's broken, like the light fittings (smashed glass shade) and curtain pole (no fixings) I bought last year...and the replacement night latch for the front door (no keys) the year before...and the laminate flooring (water damaged).
I should claim my mileage back!

pussycatinboots · 19/08/2020 07:51

Crazy I need some more gutter brackets for the conservatory too - thanks for reminding me! One snapped last time it was windy so I've no more spares left

I will try really really hard not to buy something I don't need, honest!

WreckTangled · 19/08/2020 08:01

We're forecast rain all day. Annoyingly I need to go out because I'm going to a friends for dinner and said I would bring a salad so need to buy some bits.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/08/2020 08:18

Amazon sells cross stitch kits, Boots!

pussycatinboots · 19/08/2020 08:31

Thank you.
My groaning credit card bill will show that I already knew that! ShockGrin
The "Chester Draws" where I keep my heap of not-yet-begun kits will also indicate that I've known it for a while...

MarshmallowManiac · 19/08/2020 13:21

Afternoon everyone.
Hope you are all well, and not blown over by the gusts of wind! Very happy today as 2 of my DD's A level grades were increased, she's over the moon. Smile Hope all the A level students are as happy this morning in spite of Boris . We were promised lashings of rain today, but have only seen a spit while I was picking blackberries. Also discovered some blackcurrants and blueberries while I was there. Have sterilised my jars in readiness. Grin
Mrs glad to hear your DD is fine, try and make sure that you have an easy day today to catch up Flowers

Mums eh Crazy Grin can't say I would have been any different Smile

Give in to it Boots embrace it it's inevitable Grin

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 19/08/2020 16:54

Hope your DD is OK mrs!

My stomach has been fine today, hallelujah :)

First of the Christmad shopping I ordered on Monday arrived today, feels good to have made a proper start.

CrazyBaubles · 19/08/2020 16:57

Marshmallow is that someone’s garden or have you found all those berries growing wild together?
DHs blueberry bush has 1 berry on it (he doesn’t look after it at all, it’s been planted for 4 years, provides the birds with possibly 4 berries a year) 😂

How old are your dc? The A-level stuff has been all over the news but it's kind of passed me by as I've been focussed on the new job.

I've just put the laptop down. Going to do some washing / potching now..

MarshmallowManiac · 19/08/2020 17:07

Crazy it is in a nearby park. Never noticed them before, but today I went another way and ended up discovering them. Grin
Oh no Crazy hopefully more will come on your DH's bush. My DC are 16, nearly 19 and 24. Smile GCSE results tomorrow.

pussycatinboots · 19/08/2020 17:09

NoWordForFluffy · 19/08/2020 17:21

Blueberries are exceptionally rare in the wild in the U.K. How lucky.

We're still dry for now, Mrs. It's set to rain overnight though.

Crazy, my bush is as productive as your DH's. Our poor bushes!

Good news about your stomach, Most.

MarshmallowManiac · 19/08/2020 17:47

Thank you Mrs, here's hoping for good news tomorrow for DS's GCSEs Smile

Most great news about your stomach.

I couldn't believe it either Fluffy as never seen one in the wild before. Smile hopefully they can go on my breakfast on in some muffins Grin

CrazyBaubles · 19/08/2020 18:04

Our poor bushes! 😱😂 Fluffy

Glad your Dd2 is feeling better MrsMad.

puss I'm jealous of your bedding. I've washed and put the Sainsbury's hare one back on. I absolutely can't get away with Christmas bedding. I think I've said before, DH asked for our bedroom to be Christmas free, like a sanctuary for him as I can overdo the rest of the house (nothing outrageous, just lights / ornaments and candles).

Tiredness hit me like a bus about 10 mins ago. All of a sudden I feel I can barely keep my eyes open so I've used the time to have a little think and I realised that I'll be able to decorate the spare room / my office this year as I'll be WFH Xmas Smile. The idea of working away, in comfy clothes and thick socks, with fairy lights and Christmas music on has cheered me up.

pussycatinboots · 19/08/2020 18:18

Crazy you could get a reversible one and sneak it in upside-down/stealthily for Christmas Eve Wink

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 19/08/2020 18:23

Ooh that sounds lovely crazy!

So now there is blood when I wee, I hope I haven't managed to get a UTI now Sad Will see how it is overnight and still bad will pop to pharmacy tomorrow

MarshmallowManiac · 19/08/2020 18:24

Maybe Crazy get him drunk turn it inside out, so only you know you are surrounded by Christmas [santa]
