I have one after the other

I can also relocate them myself using a wall or a stable.

Us horsey people are Hardy folk.

Littlegoth · 18/08/2020 18:25

@CrazyBaubles I adore Prague at Christmas

CrazyBaubles · 18/08/2020 18:52

I've been to Prague a few times now but only twice in winter but both times were after Christmas so no decs up (went Jan and Feb - different years)!
I'm really hoping it goes ahead, I can only imagine how stunning it is.

Just thinking about Dislocating things makes me 🤢. Broken bones / cuts / bites, pretty much anything else I'm ok with.
I did work at an animal rescue briefly a long time ago and managed quite a collection of dog bites / cat scratches. I'm also clumsy and collected burns when working in McDs as a teen - including one where I somehow took fries out of the hot fat and placed the basket straight on my other arm 🙄

Finally switched my work brain off so I'll going to cross stitch now.

Wreck will the dc get a reward for behaving today?

WreckTangled · 18/08/2020 19:05

Their reward is me not shouting at them Grinthey've been OK but not amazing and started acting up after dinner Hmm

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 20:07

Evening everyone Smile
Poor DD2 wasn't at all well in the night, she had me up at 5 this morning, l must admit l thought it was Covid when she woke me Shock.
Rang the GP spoke to them , took pics in of her throat, it was very closed , The Uvula was so swollen it was sticking to her tonsils Shock she kept waking up in the night with it stopping her breathing. I told her to come and tell me straight away if it ever happens again even if she is in her own home. We are only half an hour way. It frightened me to death when saw it . Anyway , they gave her Penicillin but the strange thing is she didn't have a temp but last time she had tonsillitis she didn't have a temp either, she is a strange one lol. She will be ok now Smile

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 20:13

Oh the Gp told her to go to Acc/Em if it ever happens again Shock
Went to Mum and Bob's , Mum told me my sister has taken my silk rose plant pot off my Dad's grave and put them on my grandmother's and put her pot plant on there instead. There was no need of her to do that at , there is room for loads of flower plants. I was really upset. I knew this would happen and l said it all along she would do that to my flowers because she wants to control everything. What with Dd2 being poorly and then that l have felt so awful today Sad

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 20:14

Crazy see you are settling in already , you got this ! Smile
They are so lucky to have you Flowers

pussycatinboots · 18/08/2020 20:16

Mrs She needs to get rid of those tonsils.

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 20:16

Woolly hope you are ok now lovely Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 20:18

I know Boot. She had to have 3 weeks of Pen V just at start of lockdown . I realise how serious this could have been she could have choked in the night Shock

WreckTangled · 18/08/2020 20:20

Mrs my colleagues son had a similar tho with his uvula, he couldn't breathe at all, apparently it was really scary. Hope your dd feels better quickly. RE a tonsillectomy I attended an interesting talk from an ENT surgeon last year and he was furious about how difficult it is to get one on the NHS these days. Apparently there's a very high satisfaction rate to having it done and he thinks it's ludicrous the amount of infections you have to have in order to get it done.

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 20:21

Chips you have been in the wars lovely ! Flowers
Wreck enjoy the rest and the steak sounds yummy! Smile

CrazyBaubles · 18/08/2020 20:23

Wreck DSis had her tonsils out about 15years ago and it was a bit of a faff then (she had to have tonsillitis a certain amount of times within a year but she was getting it every 6 weeks by then). Apparently it's a lot more difficult now.

Thank you MrsMad! I'm continuing with my fake-it-til-you-make-it motto. Everyone seems to just accept I know what I'm doing (and I have a few friends in similar-ish jobs who have given me advice) Grin

Hope your DD2 is feeling better soon.

Woolly early night for you?

I'm just back from walking the dog. Again I just feel wiped out & using cross stitch to keep my brain firmly switched off. I'm desperate to get my Coo finished so I can crack on with the Christmas one!

I really think we may have to go down the route of paying for the op tbh Wreck , once this Covid is over we will see about it. l don't care about the money, it was really scary, l had to leave her to go up to Mum's and bless her she carried on working from home in the 'OFFICE' , she is such a good kid .
Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 20:27

Ahh thank you Crazy Smile it's made me feel a heap lot better since l came on here tonight and vented to you all , so kind of you all Smile
Big MWAHS all around xxx

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/08/2020 20:59

Thank you MrsMad and Crazy I'm shattered but I've just been out for a lovely walk with DD1 and hopefully I'll sleep better tonight.

MrsMad we have silk flowers on my parents grave that one or other of my sisters put on every few months - the only difference is whoever does it puts a photo on the family WhatsApp group and checks everyone is happy.

Chips my friend broke both wrists at the same time going head over heels over the top of her mother's wheelchair when she skidded on ice on Christmas Day a few years ago.

MarshmallowManiac · 18/08/2020 21:07

Evening everyone.

OMG Chips you are surely a wonder Grin

So sorry to hear about your DD Mrs hope she is feeling a lot better now, but probably the removal of her tonsils would be best. Smile That wasn't very nice of your sis, she sounds like my SIL I'm afraid I would have to have a quiet word with her Grin

Wreck Flowers

Enjoy your cross stitch Crazy Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 18/08/2020 21:08

Got my jam sugar YAYY Go Asda! Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/08/2020 21:14

MrsMad hope the meds kick in soon and your DD feels better quickly. I know what you mean about wanting to take care of her even when she has her own home - DH has threatened promised to cut DD1's lawn and put her bins out when she buys her own house.

Ahhh Woolly he's a proper Dad, he sounds lovely Smile Thank you re Dd2, she's Mumma's baby Grin Great stuff re your jam sugar @Maniac , l didn't think you needed jam sugar because the fruit has pectin in it , reading about it now l see strawberries don't have much in it which has surprised me but when l used to make jam l used strawbs and apple jam and apples are high in pectin. Well we live and learn every day here Smile
Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 22:13

I am off to bed early , l am tired out
Night night everyone Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 18/08/2020 22:19

That's lovely Woolly he sounds like a fab Daddy Smile

Thanks Mrs didn't realise they had high levels. I was so fed up traipsing from shop to shop that I told my DD today that we would make jam tomorrow with or without jam sugar Grin I have massive tomato plants growing at the moment and would love to make tomato chutney but wouldn't know where to start. Think will give it a go this year though. Grin Nighty night Mrs

Morning!

It's meant to be dry today. Until lunch, then more rain! Because we need more rain! 😂 Hopefully the washing dried overnight.

I am so close to completing the first half of the cross stitch, less a few stitches that I'll come back to when I'm using that colour. Exciting times.

I couldn't be arsed to go to the allotment this morning. I'll have giant runner beans waiting for me!
