@MarshmallowManiac have you seen the price drops on the Harry Potter lego on the site you posted?! Wow

MarshmallowManiac · 22/07/2020 15:27

Haha never used it Yeknom* but it is quite a saving isn't it, maybe look at their reviews Smile

FilthyforFirth · 22/07/2020 15:30

Just got that dino game for DS @Someaddedsugar! He will only be 3.5 at Christmas but from the reviews I think he should be ok. He loves firing cannons from his pirate ships so I think this will be a win!

Thanks, two medium presents for him ticked off this week. What to get the one month old so DS doesnt think Santa has forgot...

Serenity25 · 22/07/2020 15:31

Chad valley fire truck at argos is £15 reduced from £50.

These Lego friends play cube playsets for £6 look quite nice, looks like out of stock in quite a few places though.

Yeknom · 22/07/2020 15:36

@marshmallowmaniac I can't find them on trust pilot so I'm not sure on it - the dream house is only £65 on there?! Surely cannot be real?! I'm off to investigate reviews

@serenity - my daughter loves those lego cubes. They get a lot of playtime!

MarshmallowManiac · 22/07/2020 15:39

Yes they do seem to have great bargains Queen

What about these Filth
Not that cheap but so lovely and soft for little oneswww.madeformums.com/reviews/10-of-the-best-toys-for-newborn

Yeknom they look like something my daughter would love, but unfortunately out of stock in my area.
Anyway while trying to find some elsewhere I saw Smyths have some for £5, again stock varies in different areas.
I did see this Lego friends nature glamping set for £16.99 reduced from £24.99.
It’s also on amazon for £16.66.

MarshmallowManiac · 22/07/2020 15:51

Never used it Margarita but It seems to be good, they seem to sell the big brands too Smile

FilthyforFirth · 22/07/2020 15:53

Thanks for that link @MarshmallowManiac, definitely a few on there I could get. The bath toys look good!

NoWordForFluffy · 22/07/2020 15:54

If you can pay by PayPal it's not so bad, as you have buyer protection. I wouldn't buy from somewhere without some form of protection, unless they're well known.

If they're dodgy, I wouldn't put somehow faking tracking info past them either! But I'm very suspicious in general!

Kolo · 22/07/2020 15:55

Not on the high street sale up to 50% off:

There's a lovely kids teepee thingy half price which makes me want little kids again!

Cherryrainbow · 22/07/2020 15:55

I've ordered off of toysforapound a few times, the first was before xmas. Great service, everything is packed nicely, and saves a lot of money. They update stock often so its good to check regularly x

FilthyforFirth · 22/07/2020 15:55

I think @reastie can talk about toysforapound website. I think it comes up often on the Sept thread. From memory last year there was a large message about what to expect when ordering from there. I think its legit though!

MarshmallowManiac · 22/07/2020 15:59

Yeknom have never used them but to be safe maybe order something small to see if it arrives, and always check reviews beforehand.

MarshmallowManiac · 22/07/2020 15:59

Some good bargains Cherry

MarshmallowManiac · 22/07/2020 16:01

Filthy their reviews are really good Smile

FireflyGirl · 22/07/2020 16:03

@FilthyforFirth I'm due November too - was on the November thread, but it was moving too quickly for me. Am on the Facebook group, though.

Baby will be getting lots of DS's old toys wrapped, a 'First Christmas' bib, a Christmas outfit, and some new bath toys as I've recently chucked all of ours due to them going mouldy! That will be enough that my 5yo won't think baby has been forgotten, if he even looks up from his own presents!

Gracesquirrel · 22/07/2020 16:04

Please be careful of that Cellar By The Quay website - I thought their prices were incredibly low so did a bit of digging and found that their domain name was only registered 29th June 2020 and on looking closer at their website I clicked on the "about us" page and got a page talking about being the sports brand Puma and then talking about how Birkenstocks are made. They have NO address on their website - if you want to contact them you use a form or send to an email account thats not related to the webaddress. If you google them I only got 2 search results which also indicates this is a brand new website. They only accept credit cards for payment and appear to be using some kind of playstation online payment gateway. All in all it doesn't look good.

SodOffCovid · 22/07/2020 16:10

Thanks very much to the suggestions from the previous thread about makeup brushes for my niece. I just brought a full set from morphe for £25 from £81 plus I was a new customer so got a further 20% off and free delivery. Wahooooo

FilthyforFirth · 22/07/2020 16:12

That is a great idea @fireflygirl! DS certainly wont remember they used to be his. Need to go in the loft over the next few months anyway to get his old bits and bobs out so will look at his old toys then.

Haha DS is 3, just, so I think this will be the first Christmas he 'gets it'. He already keeps asking where 'his baby' will sleep. He wont accept the answer the playroom as he seems to think he can keep two bedrooms to himself!
