And also I have downloaded a christmas present app like a PP. I had no idea they existed but its just revolutionised my shopping and budgeting... I have just realised I have already spent 4x the amount of money on my will be three year old compared to my one year old.. But one year old are quite happy with cheap and cheerfully rattly things right 😬

They had some of the usborne books/jigsaws in Costco (Instore, I'm not sure about online) for around £5 when I was in yesterday. If anyone missed them on amazon

1stTimeMama · 22/07/2020 16:17

Hello fellow Christmas lovers! I'm jumping back on the threads, July is plenty late enough to start shopping. I had our 5th baby last week, so have a little bit extra children's bits to buy, but on the other hand have crossed off all people outside of my household, apart from my parents so am saving a lot there!

That Cellar by the Quay site looks far too amazing, I'm going to order a couple of the smaller bits and see what comes of it.

MarshmallowManiac · 22/07/2020 16:19

That's what I would do 1stTimeMama just to be on the safe side. Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 22/07/2020 16:28

@1stTimeMama, congratulations! Your user name is a little out of date, however! 😂

@SodOffCovid, I might get those brushes for my friend's daughter. She's 15 in Jan, so should appreciate them, hopefully.

Gruum are doing a free shampoo bar for the cost of delivery - I ordered the tin to keep it in too for £2.50. Nice little stocking filler for one of my girls. They also sent me a £5 gift voucher for use against my next order too.

Waving to @PinkJam and all the gang - can't believe we're back on this again - so excited!

Love these sweets, really cheap great for stocking fillers, made an order a few weeks ago.

PinkJam · 22/07/2020 16:52

@recklessgran Waves back!

It’s crazy how fast it’s come around again! I often think Christmas itself goes too quickly so I absolutely love being able to chat and bargain hunt with like minded people in the months beforehand Smile it makes me enjoy it all the more Smile

And such lovely threads full of swapping ideas and everyone helping each other.

MarshmallowManiac · 22/07/2020 16:58

It seems to make Christmas last all the longer doesn't it Pink I love Christmas and am happy to be talking about it and planning it all year, and it's great everyone helps everyone with tips and ideas [santa]

Imadreamer44 · 22/07/2020 17:08

Right, it was my birthday yesterday which signals time for the Christmas shopping to begin! Long time lurker but this is my first post. Happy bargain hunting all Smile

sarahC40 · 22/07/2020 17:10

Hi all, can I ask for an opinion: I have a five year old niece, soon to be six. Too old for playmobil? My boys played with that for longer, but I don’t want to get it wrong and am wondering whether to head for Lego (and thank you for the b&m link)

noodledoodler · 22/07/2020 17:12

Picked up my horse set from argos today, lots of cloak and dagger stuff as we negotiated with the staff to bag it first as ds was with me, ended up being taped into a bin bag, the poor man thought I was incredibly rude as I kept talking very loudly over him every time he went to say the item name, until he realised what it was and who it was for, they were so lovely helping me out.

PinkJam · 22/07/2020 17:35

@MarshmallowManiac It does indeed Smile most of my family and friends think I’m crazy for planning so far ahead, but as with you I love Christmas and so enjoy being in the festive spirit for longer!

And thank you for the link to the Argos toy clearance - some fantastic bargains! Have managed to get 3 presents for click and collect at my local store so that’s 3 kids in the extended family all sorted! Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 22/07/2020 17:37

You're welcome, glad you got some bargains Pink Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 22/07/2020 17:38

@sarahC40, my almost-6 (Friday!) DS loves Playmobil and his 7 year old sister does too.

It's kind of a different purpose than Lego in that you only build it once, then it's just there to play with. The rocket I got for DS actually says 6+ on the box.

Maddie2802 · 22/07/2020 17:40

Tkmaxx had some cheap sylvanian stuff so may be worth looking there for those in need of sylvanian toys! 😊

Great sale on at RexLondon, good for nice stocking fillers.

BadgerFace · 22/07/2020 17:59

@Serenity25’s Lego glamping bargain is a really lovely set. I bought one for DD (age 7) earlier this year (in a previous bargain find!) and got it out when school finished and she loved it.

covidmonkey · 22/07/2020 18:32

You can often find Lego reduced. I can't remember when I paid full price. I got recently three Lego trolls sets 50% off. Amazon price matches Argos, Asda, recently B&M, John Lewis ect. Just put the sets you are after on Amazon wish list and have a look once in a while.

Serenity25 · 22/07/2020 19:06

@sarahC40 my dd is nearly 5, she loves playmobil and think she will for a few years yet. My sister got her started last birthday, she bought one of the carry cases. They are around £15 I think.

Sass and belle have a 50% sale on.

Ah, well I can explain! I joined when I had my youngest, 10yrs ago, and actually have no idea how to go about changing it. I'm incredibly rubbish with anything technical!

ADayAlwaysHasToEnd · 22/07/2020 19:17

Lol fuzzy pets £3.50 on amazon fuzzy pet

Shantotto · 22/07/2020 19:21

There’s no way that cellar by the quay website is legitimate- Lego millennium falcon for £48?! It must be hugely dodgy unfortunately.
