I love the elephant!

It's raining here and is meant to most of today and tomorrow morning. Then we're forecast sun.

Good luck today crazy!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 08/07/2020 07:25

Good luck Crazy!

Thanks for the tip about Hobbycraft fluffy :) Not sure where to put him yet. We are getting a new office at work so might take him there to cheer it up :) love the new cross stitch! Desperate for mine to arrive now.

Rainy here today too.

NerosFiddle · 08/07/2020 08:01

Morning

Best of luck today crazy. I've everything crossed for you.

Marshmallow I bought that planner a few weeks ago. I love it and it should last a few years.

Dd was up again at 1.30. I don't know what's wrong. But suffice to say I'm exhausted. It's like the newborn phase all over again.

I'm trying to convince dh it but a Balsalm Hill tree in their July sale. I keep telling him it's an investment.

WreckTangled · 08/07/2020 08:06

We don't have room for a Christmas tree in our sitting room anymore. What am I going to do?! 😩

Morning!

Wreck: move house! (Helpful, no?!)

Neros, apparently somebody put one in their basket and didn't check out and got sent a £50-off voucher. Worth a shot!

Most, your post is terrible! So slow! You need a collection of 12 or so lined up waiting for you like I have. Xmas Blush

I'm at that point in my new one where it could be bloody anything at all. It's just a collection of stitches!

It's dry here for now. It rained all day yesterday. The allotment weeds will love it!

TheWoollybacksWife · 08/07/2020 08:26

Best of luck Crazy. 🤞

My hoop arrived yesterday along with wool for another three projects. I'm raring to go.

FireflyGirl · 08/07/2020 08:28

Wreck you'll just have to move! Grin

When I was designing our new through living/dining room with the IKEA man (decision due on planning permission for our extension next Wednesday, then we just need to be sure I'm not going to be made redundant) he specifically asked about where I would put the Christmas tree.

Neros I keep getting an advert for the sale at the top of my MN. I'm avoiding it for now, but when we get the new living room, I want one of their big fluffy trees...

most well done on your elephant. I love a completed cross stitch, you can feel the love that's gone into it!

What time is your interview, Crazy?

WreckTangled · 08/07/2020 08:31

Could put it in the middle of the room I suppose 🤔 or remove my yellow chair and tables and turn the radiator off and put it in the corner...

I'm WFH today. I wanted to do Pilates before I started but we're having our roof fixed today and the roofer is outside but hasn't knocked yet and I'm just waiting. I have a meeting at 9:15 Hmm might as well just make another coffee

pussycatinboots · 08/07/2020 10:10

Crazy 🤞🏻
Fluffy only 12? I've a blinkin cupboard full! If I live to 100, I suspect they won't all get finished Shock
Wreck 3' wall-mounted tree? it would give wreck-cat something to think about too 😺😹
Firefly I saw a Vauxhall Crossland SUV in Morrisons carpark earlier, they look quite capacious like an astra on steroids, and may be easier to haul a pram/baby etc into/out of with less bending?
Nero Just do it, see if the trick fluffy mentioned works, but get one anyway - tell him it was a bargain! 🎄🎄🎄
Drizzling here, DH walked home from Morrisons but isn't too soggy.

Can we all spare a thought today for Mr Mad Grin and his bench assembly...what could go wrong?

NoWordForFluffy · 08/07/2020 10:17

I sit on my hands to prevent ordering more a fair bit, Boots! 😂😂

I'm more worried about the combined weight of Mrs' mum and Bob on the bench. Can you still make £250 from You've Been Framed? Ensure you're videoing it, Mrs! 🤣🤣

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 08/07/2020 10:29

Oh no we only have a real tree! Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 08/07/2020 10:31

I can't be arsed with a real one when there are so many excellent fake ones now!

Crazy, I forgot to reply re the job application! I was approached by a friend who's the litigation manager to see if I'd like an interview! So sent my CV and got the job! I didn't mention it on here as every job I've mentioned on here I haven't got. And I'm very recognisable. So wanted to avoid prying 👀 👀.

Just signing in to a work zoom. And now googling the much discussed tree....

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 08/07/2020 11:09

You will have to move Wreck! It is actually one of our criteria when moving house, is there somewhere for our 9ft tree. I love real ones but DCat chews the needles and then vomits everywhere.

MarshmallowManiac · 08/07/2020 13:00

Thanks Neros think I'm going to indulge.
First year in our new house so definitely planning to get a real Christmas tree, can't wait!

Rainy here too Most wanted to go for a run but will have to reschedule for tomorrow.

Definitely move Wreck, failing that knock a wall or two down Grin Everytime I see WFH I read WTF, gotta get my glasses changed Grin

Woolly good luck with your stash.

Boots I feel a minute of silence is in order for poor Mr Mad God help him.

Mrsmadevans · 08/07/2020 13:33

CrazyBaubles · 08/07/2020 17:19

Just checking in. I'm having a stiff drink after that interview! Usually they're around 40 minutes ish, this was almost 2 hours but included a competency test. No idea how it went but I'm happy to have got to interview (I found out today they had over 20 applications and are only interviewing 4 of us). Anyway, I'm moving it out of my mind until next week when hopefully I'll hear back!

I got lost down the Christmas planner rabbit hole a few years ago then on a whim bought a red leather bound notebook in Smiths and just use that.
I think I like the idea of something that's pretty and fancy but realistically I'm too practical 😂

Marshmallow I have a few Cath Kidston notebooks and they're lovely

WreckTangled · 08/07/2020 18:04

Marshmallow my dc are eating hummus a week out of date for dinner. Hope you're still alive Grin

Crazy we had a small potted one last year as we were away and it's still in the garden! It needs repotting though and that won't happen... It's great you got the interview they're stressful at the best of times though but two hours?!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/07/2020 18:28

Crazy 2 hours ! That is savage (though I know some Managers like to grill people at interviews ...and some really like ding interviews )
Enjoy your Gin

Wreck I had No Tree last year ( well I did from the Fri-Mon then our female cat decided she didn't like it Xmas Hmm We had no baubles , only static lights , faux tree ) I'll need to ask her this year if she minds .

I'm sure I've eaten out-of-date houmous and I'm still here (not nearly a month OOD though !)

KVlovesWinter · 08/07/2020 19:41

Evening

Been a busy few days with work but off for a week now 😀
Typical the weather is not looking very nice the next few days, same happened on my last week off

I would so love a Balsam Hill Christmas tree, got a £50 off voucher for signing up to their emails. I've got an 8ft Canadian blue green spruce in my basket 😁

I've just had this cross stitch hoop set delivered today, it's got a load of accessories as well so no excuses not to finish mine now
