Crazy I've been doing one by trifecta Pilates. I sure like her. I was doing yoga but I really need to strengthen and my physio advises against it. I miss Adriene though as I love her a bit Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 02/07/2020 09:52

That's lovely, Woolly! Out of stock now, so you saved me! 😂😂 Xmas Grin

Crazy, good luck with the application. Sounds like you're having a lovely day!

It's Adrienne I was following. I liked her, she was quite funny but she does some things I can't and the beginners one is boring after a few times.
I'm also doing physio on my ankle so have to be careful. I'll have a look at Pilates and see how I go...

BiddyPop · 02/07/2020 10:06

I have enjoyed a few Adrienne workouts during lockdown. Pilates is quite different and quite similar to yoga, but I find it is MUCH better for strengthening your core and back. And lots is done either lying on your back or on hands and knees, so not involving the ankles too much Crazy. But I do it on zoom as the instructor who came into the office one lunchtime a week was able to set herself up on it, so haven't found anyone on YT to follow.

I've been busy with work stuff, and planning Cub stuff. Found 3 new leaders last night - all only PT, but at least willing to get involved (will drag them in once I've snared them!! Grin ). My crafty stuff has been doing some gifts for DSis and her 2 DCs (need to bring down to DF this weekend as he's travelling to see her next week), for a new house. And made 4 flags (North, South, E, W) for marking social distance points for the 4 Cub Patrols this weekend - I used an old sheet and remains of a pair of non-wearable jeans Grin but will do what's needed.

I like the sound of tea towels and XSt though (I think I have enough UFOs on the go though).

Hope everyone's day goes well.

WreckTangled · 02/07/2020 10:07

I like Pilates as you don't need to worry about balance (of which I have none!) and you spend most of the time lying down I can really feel it in my thighs the next day. I recommend doing one of the introduction ones first as she goes through the adaptations a little bit.

Why isn't it lunch time yet?!

BiddyPop · 02/07/2020 10:09

And good luck with all the job applications!!

KVlovesWinter · 02/07/2020 20:05

Evening

It's been a really dull and cloudy day again today not great for drying washing. Even had to put the heating on for an hour earlier, the first time since late March. It's crazy when you think what the weather was like last week

Have been enjoying watching movies 24 since they started the Christmas in July yesterday. Think I've already watched quite a lot of them over the years though😁

Just done a little bit more of my cross stitch tonight it's coming along nicely now

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/07/2020 20:59

Thanks MrsMad hope you are feeling better now.

My Rex London order arrived yesterday and it's lovely. Got a few bits and bobs for DD2 mainly plus some Dino bits for my lovely great-nephew. My Lisa Angel order arrived too - beanie hats and personalised glasses cases for both DDs.

KV did you post a picture showing what your cross stitch will look like when it's finished? It looks lovely so far.

Biddy busy as ever. How lovely that you have found some new volunteers.

Wreck and Crazy good luck with the applications. If you're not in it, you can't win it 🤞

70 the traffic is certainly getting back to normal levels here. At the beginning of the lockdown it was the same level as a sunny Sunday evening - the odd car here and there. Now it's bonkers.

Firefly follow doctor's orders. You may as well enjoy what rest you can get now.

My op has been brought forward to Saturday so this time tomorrow I'll have eaten my last food 😥 unless I get up and have my breakfast before 6am.

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/07/2020 21:21

70 I vaguely remember you mentioning Korean Italy cloths. DD2 is big into beauty routines. Do you recommend them? She showers more than she takes baths. Loves fake tanning. 🧡

CrazyBaubles · 02/07/2020 21:46

KVloves what cross stitch are you doing again? I'm having a memory blank, sorry!

MrsMad you can only view unoccupied houses. The estate agent goes in and opens all the doors while wearing gloves & mask, then stand outside while you view it but you're not allowed to touch anything.

Viewing was good but there are others lined up and we're still waiting on a new mortgage offer so who knows when we'll actually be able to move.

woolly I love Rex stuff but don't have anyone who would appreciate it ☹️

I'm working on my cross stitch - it's driving me a bit bonkers but Coo finally has a nose!

Multiple posts, sorry! Blush

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/07/2020 22:09

Crazy I got some tropical print travel stuff for DD2, some sheet masks for my DDs stockings and some dinosaur stuff for GNephew. I'm also knitting him a dinosaur hoodie for his birthday.

The parcels I'm waiting for are some slippers for DD2 and Ia Roman Centurion pencil sharpener for DD1's stocking from eBay. She did an ancient history degree and lived in Rome for 3 months so she'll love that.

COO is lovely. I think with cross stitch it looks like it's taking ages and then all of a sudden it comes together.

CrazyBaubles · 02/07/2020 22:41

I enjoy cross stitch but I'm not sure I have the right temperament/ enough patience for it.

Am also posting so we're not stuck on 666 posts for too long! Xmas Grin

Mrsmadevans · 02/07/2020 22:43

Woolly l have a Dd who loves to fake tan too, it's so messy lol ! Thank you l am much better now Smile
Crazy your Coo is so beautiful Smile Thank you for letting me know re the housing viewings , it doesn't sound too bad, they seem to have thought it out well Smile
Fingers crossed for the mortgage application Smile

Well spotted ! Grin
NoWordForFluffy · 02/07/2020 23:13

If you didn't know what the pattern was, you'd wonder where this was going! 🙈😂

I love the Rex stuff too. Was it Magpie that's also got some lovely kitsch stuff?

Does anyone else have torrential rain forecast tomorrow? All day! I might have to stop cross stitching and build an ark. 😂

Morning!

Not much sleep here last night due to a late bed time! We had to put the washing on the airers after its few hours outside. It's mostly dry now, so was worth it given today's weather!

Hurrah for Friday though! We spent a pleasant hour planning what house we'd buy if we win the lottery tonight. I found a proper doer-upper which would need about £100k throwing at it. But would be amazing once done!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 03/07/2020 08:28

Oh fluffy we had a similar conversation. Dd asked me if I would buy the £30m house up the road (not the one I previously linked to). I said no, it's too much, I am not greedy Wink

I got dd the new David walliams book, delivered at 6:30pm yesterday and she just finished it Hmm

We've got to collect food shopping today and then I think we will pop into the range for something to do, the dc are so bored.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/07/2020 09:01

Woolly the Korean Italy Cloths are *amazing^ but they really do need a bath to have the best effect .
I don't like baths much , especially hot, non-foamy ones that you need for the KIcloths to work.
I do use one in the shower but it just buffs , so like any exfoliatant .

The real KI Cloth afterbath effect has your skin rolling off . It is fascinating and disgusting in equal measure. My bum is baby smooth after Xmas Grin

FireflyGirl · 03/07/2020 09:02

Wreck we got it on Audible for DS, he's finished listening to it this morning and announced I can be a SuperMum if I just believe in myself Grin

He loves all of the David Walliams books, he's listened to them multiple times over lockdown. As have I...

DW seems to have something against mothers, they're either absent or dead in most of the books, but I'm pretty sure in one of them (the Boy in the Dress?) the dad did away with her. They argued and then she disappeared, ostensibly having left the kids... maybe I've watched too many true crime documentaries 🤷

My new washing machine is due this afternoon! Hurrah!

I've also ordered some embroidery hoops. I'm wondering if I will pick up my cross stitch more if it was easier to hold (ie on a hoop), rather than the big clunky frame it's on at the moment.

NerosFiddle · 03/07/2020 09:03

Morning all.

I've a Sainsbury's delivery between 12-1 and my hoover broke on Wednesday so the new one is coming this morning sometime. Exciting stuff!

WreckTangled · 03/07/2020 09:04

Dd said dh and I were probably going to be in the book HmmGrin
