Crazy, find the middle and start there (the nose!).

You can see the material's fold where the middle is.

Evening everyone, lovely cross stitch Fluffy.
Beautiful day here today, it was our 27th wedding anniversary so we went for a lunchtime picnic Wine Cake
Quite pleased with myself today as ordered lots of Christmas stuff from Amazon. They have lots of Christmas bedding there too so I might indulge Wink
In the next few days trying to get to Farmfoods as there are lots of offers on and I want to replenish my Brexit/CV stash.
Haven't been on for a little while but hope you are all well and enjoying the very welcome sunshine.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 27/06/2020 06:35

Happy anniversary marshmallow :)

So glad to see you back crazy and good luck with the coo.

My Christmas cross stitch has been dispatched so very excited.

We have had some rain overnight going by the ground and are due more this morning. It is definitely cooler thankfully.

Morning.

Happy anniversary, Marshmallow!

It rained here too, and we're due more. I'm not sure what time it rained though.

We were woken by loud shit music from a car at just gone 3. Arseholes.

I need to get up and go to the allotment. I'm going to get wet today!

Morning. I slept terribly last night. DH switched the fan off as he was worried about it shorting if it started to rain, and the bedroom became stifling. There was just no air. We've had rain this morning, though, and it's cleared a bit.

Our plan for today is to investigate the washing machine. It won't spin - we've cleaned filters etc, but still broken, so we're going to pull it out and investigate the motor (big job because the tumble drier is stacked on top, so we need to pull that out first). Otherwise, we'll need to buy a new one, which is an expense we can do without!

WreckTangled · 27/06/2020 08:41

Morning. I'm still in bed. I need coffee so will have to get up. It's rained here overnight but I haven't looked out the window. We had a power cut last night too it had been off an hour when I went to bed so not sure when it came back on.

WreckTangled · 27/06/2020 08:51

Nope it's still boiling. My sitting room is 25° I've opened all the windows and then back door 🥵

CrazyBaubles · 27/06/2020 09:24

It was raining when I got up for a wee at 3am and again at 6. It's stopped now and things finally feel cooler which is nice. Would be perfect weather to sit in the garden but I can't be bothered to dry the table and chairs.

Sat downstairs on my own, enjoying the peace (DH is still in bed, he hasn't slept well the last weeks or so because of his cough so I'm leaving him up there). Just about to get stuck back into the Coo cross stitch (I didn't get much done last night after, I couldn't concentrate).

Plan for today is to clean - it seems that cobwebs just sort of magic themselves up in every corner overnight in this house - and cross stitch Smile

KVlovesWinter · 27/06/2020 10:18

Good morning

Was lovely and sunny when I woke up at half 6, hung some washing out then it started to rain. It's a cool 17 degrees thank goodness 😀

Well, we watched the new animated grinch and absolutely loved it, I'm not always keen on the animated versions but I think I prefer it to the Jim Carrey one. Ds is 12 and he loved it as well actually he just loves Christmas full stop😁

Think we are going to go for a nice long walk today and make the most of the cool fresh air

NerosFiddle · 27/06/2020 10:31

Morning.

It's been raining on and off since 8 o clock last night. But still very clammy.

I've been drying some fruit with cinnamon and cloves this morning. The house smells amazing.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/06/2020 12:41

Just pottered off to Local Shopping Emporium ( essential shopping : I had to recycle glass , post a parcel and buy some bits in Boots for the DC .....who are now not Dearest Children they are Dearest Adult Children )

I swanned into my beloved M&S but I couldn't find what I was looking for , they have less stock to comply with more space ....but I did see a couple of nice short sleeved jumper tops that might find their way onto an online order ........

We'll soon be at 180 ! Xmas Shock

DH put the oil burner on (its a plug in one , no tealights now because of the felines ) Neales Yard Cinnamon Oil and Mandarin Oil ..DD just asked Why does the house smell like Christmas ?

NoWordForFluffy · 27/06/2020 14:52

Neros, I bet that smells amazing!

I'm loving that you've got Christmassy-scented too, 70.

DS wants a Christmas-themed cake for his birthday next month, so I've just ordered this topper. She's putting Happy Birthday on the plaque!

Sunshine and heavy showers, with one rumble of thunder, here. Hot when it's sunny.

I've taken down one rickety fence and put new posts in today. DH then put horizontal slats on it. Mine was the hard job!

Great work fluffy!

Love the Christmassy smells Nero and 70.

I just spent £70 on more stuff for DS to start school in Sept. School have issued us a list. The uniform, wellies and a rain coat (in a bag), PE kit (in a bag), water bottle (in yet another bag) and a book bag.

KVlovesWinter · 27/06/2020 17:33

We had a lovely long walk out was nice and sunny but got absolutely drenched on the way home, the rain was torrential.

I love Christmassy scents, we have a few cans of cinnamon spice air freshener that use all year round. I also love the smell of the Christmas cake is cooking in the oven 😃

Mrsmadevans · 27/06/2020 19:10

Omg l have broken my mob and HAD to start getting familiar with my new one. I have been trying to get it to go and put all my passwords in and I can't remember them! It's been a nightmare I've locked myself out of Tesco bank. I can't remember my passwords for Netflix it's horrendous? I then had to download all the apps again I've had terrible trouble trying to get used to this Mumsnet app because it's the first time I've ever had it it's really hard I'm exhausted and my eyes are stinging.

WreckTangled · 27/06/2020 19:13

Oh no mrs! The password thing is annoying. You'll get used to it all soon enough though, it's always tricky to start with.

Sorry you got wet KV Grin

I just spent £30 on chocolates at hotel chocolat Blush 50% off for NHS....

MarshmallowManiac · 27/06/2020 21:39

Really windy here today, good job our picnic wasn't this afternoon as would have got blown away!
Plan for tomorrow is to head to local garden centre, we are trying to sort the garden as recently moved and it needs a LOT of work. Hope to also have a bbq, just wondered if any of you ladies have heard of any choc flavoured vodka/gin/baileys as I would love to buy something similar for my bbq (would love something like frys chocolate etc) Grin

Mrsmadevans · 27/06/2020 22:12

Woah Wreck that offer is fantastic! Grin
I will get used to it l know, it's just blooming hard at first. l have had so many codes sent me from TESCO BANKING IT ISN'T TRUE! Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 27/06/2020 22:47

It's getting wild outside now! We have 40+ mph winds forecast tomorrow. Again!

We're currently watching Elbow's 2011 Glasto performance. We went to so many gigs that year...ahhh, those pre-children years! 😭😭

I doubt we'll use our Martin Mere tickets tomorrow. The weather is set to be diabolical, so it won't be any fun at all!

My cross stitch is coming on nicely now. It's nice and simple to do.

Marshmallow Hotel chocolat do an amazing cocoa gin. It's lovely on it's own with some sliced orange and ice.

It's really cool here tonight and quite windy, can hopefully get some washing dried on the line tomorrow if the rain stays away.

Have managed to do a little bit of my cross stitch tonight

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/06/2020 00:19

Marsh you can do Flavoured Vodka ( Dishwasher Vodka)

I did Skittles Vodka one New Year it dissolved without going in the dishwasher then filter through a coffee filter paper .

Fry Chocolate Cream would work well Xmas Grin

I don't drink alcohol otherwise I'd do Werthers Vodka .

MarshmallowManiac · 28/06/2020 01:13

Thanks KV must take a peek at HC, that sounds fabulous 70 would not now where to start with dishwasher vodka. Any advice gratefully appreciated Gin Wine

NoWordForFluffy · 28/06/2020 08:18

One hundred and eighty!

180

Morning!

Bloody hell it's windy here. Like, ridiculously so. We have things blowing over all over the place! It's not raining yet though. It'll be like being inside a washing machine if it does!

Marshmallow, this recipe looks simple enough. I did cranberry vodka last year which was so yummy!

WreckTangled · 28/06/2020 08:35

It's lovely and sunny here. Warm enough for me to stand outside in my short pjs and be hot. It's meant to cloud over though and the wind pick up so we will see.

CrazyBaubles · 28/06/2020 09:39

It seems sunny here but I haven't actually got out of bed to have a look 😴

KVloves where do you live? Sorry if you said before and I missed it.

I have no advice about choc flavoured booze. I drank some chocolate flavoured cocktails once that didn't agree with me so haven't been too scared to try any since!

Fluffy that cross stitch is lovely - is it a Bothy Threads one?
I'm making slow progress with my coo. I'll post a pic later
