I think we've added a day somewhere, and I think the actual countdown is 188!

Who needs 189 anyway?

I don't know who these weathermen are! I don't watch TV weather very often.

Mrs, if you're not with your mum she can't be horrible. Tell her to be nice or do it herself. Don't go for a bit. Tough shit. You still have FOG!

Who made your 18th cake, Boots? It sounds yummy! 🙈

Wreck, good news with the shopping! I went to Sainsbury's and Tesco last night to get picnic food for tomorrow's trip to Dunham Massey and Tuesday's beach trip.

I might go to Farmfoods this morning as they have some good deals.

It is so hard to put your foot down with parents Mrs and the last few months have been really hard for me but I have to say the relief that I no longer have to deal with them is immense.

Pussycatinboots · 20/06/2020 09:09

most, I know exactly how you feel. Do NOT look back - only forwards Smile
Mrs, I agree with Fluffy, you really need to walk away every time she's nasty. You are her daughter, not her servant (or punchbag).

TMI warning I woke up to a lovely hairball on the TV remote in the kitchen (looking at you, Matilda) It doesn't work at all I've cleaned it up, DH ran away so I've swapped the kitchen TV with the bedroom one which we hardly use -but does have a functioning remote- so that I can still remove annoying politicians from my kitchen Grin

NerosFiddle · 20/06/2020 09:53

Morning.

It's nice today so we're going to go out for a drive later. I'll make a couple of sandwiches to take with us.

@Mrsmadevans I'm with the others. Walk away, even if it's just for a few days.

Our weatherman is called Barra Best. I quite like him because like me he has a love of all things Eurovision.

@pussycatinboots all I can think of when you said Owain is Gavin and Stacey.

WreckTangled · 20/06/2020 10:28

My antibody test was negative

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/06/2020 10:51

One of my cats left a portion of turd at the bottom of the stairs - the tray is less than 3' away and it was clean (I had just done the tray and I double checked) . Luckily I didn't walk downstairs (in my bare feet) to that .
Don't know who the culprit was they are ganging up on us in solidarity.

(Though I'm sure it was littleboy cat who hurled up a grass/hairball on the bed )

We are waiting for DD wardrobe, DH will assemble it, DD will re stock it , get her clothes out of the small bedroom.

I might go upstairs with coffee and wrap her presents.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/06/2020 11:18

My test for antibodies came back negitive too

Pussycatinboots · 20/06/2020 11:24

Neros google "owain NW tonight" Grin His drum solo is rather good!

Wreck Are you a bit disappointed? at least you know.

Pussycatinboots · 20/06/2020 11:46

70 I do not envy your "stairs" situation, but I've had similar accidents with my two.
Good luck with the assembly - tell DH there's a swear box Grin he owes you a bottle for each one!

WreckTangled · 20/06/2020 12:40

Yes I am Grin was hoping I had had it without realising!

Mrsmadevans · 20/06/2020 15:40

@Pussycatinboots

Mrs It's not fair that you get Derek and we get Owain.🌧☂ About your Mum, just turn your back and walk away. Every.single.time. It's that or the "Naughty Step" and I guess she might be a bit big for that! 🤣 She doesn't want to go home, because she won't have Poor Bob at her beck and call 24/7 when you're not there!
My Dh said as much Boot Bob is so kind to her , he doesn't want her to go though, so l think l will have to leave it up to them. I must say we really like Derek the weatherman , l don't know who Owain is Grin Nice present from Matilda Grin
Mrsmadevans · 20/06/2020 15:58

Wreck glad your shopping was all there that is a great improvement!
Very disappointing no antibodies BGR Flowers
Fluffy Farmfoods have some cracking deals 4 x 240 PG tips for a tenner ! I know you are right re my Mum l aM totally under her thumb and it sucks . She uses all the tricks in the books to make us guilty and it is not fair. Even My long suffering Dh is getting his hair off with her now Hmm , your trips sound lovely Smile
Most l don't blame you going no contact Flowers, l have done so with my sister & brother & their partners, once Mum is gone then l can wash my hands of the lot of them Hmm
70 it is when you post things like this that reminds me what it really was like having cats, as much as we loved them they were a lot of work & the bloody fleas! I could not get them to take the Program meds, l had to trundle them off to the vets for injections of it every 6 months , then they had to have teeth out , that cost 180 quid each time !!! Not to mention the damn injections they were 65 quid each! EEEEKKKKK ! So to be flea free a year the 3 of them cost us 390 quid a year! Before anything else ! That is a bgr re the antibody test being negative Grrrrr! Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 20/06/2020 16:03

Nero have a lovely day out here is Owain just for you Smile

Afternoon 😀

We have lovely weather here today it's so hot in the sun.

Have been out in the garden all afternoon, made a start on my cross stitch, think there is rain forecast for tomorrow so making the most of it today

I did hours at the allotment. I harvested my garlic and red onions and a pile of broad beans. The kids picked and ate some peas!

I put my rainbow beetroot and swedes in the ground to see how they do (I put them in as they'd grown, so if there were multiples, they stayed together; survival of the fittest when it comes to who'll make it to be veg!).

I put some really old peas in the ground, so we'll see how they do too.

So much weeding: 3 sacks of weeds - mostly mares tail - and loads more left. It had gone bonkers after the rain!

Speedy sewing, KV.

That's a bugger re the antibodies, Wreck and 70. But my friend who was really ill also had a negative antibody test (her Trust refused to test her when she was actually ill).

Not loving the cat stories!

Mrs, it's Kettle Chips I want. I got PG Tips last time Brexit stash.

Fluffy wow what a fantastic allotment you have there, I'm not green fingered at all the best I can do is grow sunflowers. Although we do have a blackberry bush right at the back of the garden which gives us loads of huge berries 😀

Having a rest from the cross stitching, it's making my eyes really strained need to find my glasses.

Making some homemade burgers and potato wedges with some salad for tea today, so hungry now

FireflyGirl · 20/06/2020 18:33

I managed an hour and a half at the allotment today. I had DS, and he got bored after a bit, so he sat in the shade of the shed 'supervising' like Lord Muck Grin then played on his tablet. Most of the other plotholders are older/retired, and we're right next to the car park, so they love to have a chat with him as they go past.

I've got the tomatoes in now, with marigolds interspersed, just need the runty peppers and aubergines to go in between, then that bed is finished. The last bed is going to have courgette/cucumber/squashes in, and then I will dig out a new part to plant the overflow squashes when they get a bit bigger.

I also need to find somewhere for the beans, but might put them in with the squashes...

NoWordForFluffy · 20/06/2020 20:37

KV, it's a nice plot. Bloody weedy though! When I got there today, the weeds had exploded because of all the rain. I was 😱😭 Anyway, I got a fair number of them out!

I have loads of flower seedlings coming up now, so the front should have loads of flowers in a few weeks. I'm not sure if any are from my bee bombs, but they seem to have melted away in the rain, so hopefully they are!

Firefly, I have beans and pumpkins / squashes / courgettes together.

I bought myself some clementine Buck's Fizz in Sainsbury's. It's been in the freezer to quick chill it.

Countdown to Christmas 2020. Lockdown: Relaxed (Thread 6)
Pussycatinboots · 20/06/2020 21:25

Fluffy one word of caution... I put a bottle of vino in the freezer and left it a bit too long it blew, there were wine-y icicles stuck to bloody everything!! And the neck wasn't attached to the bottle Shock Oops Grin
Firefly I think Lord Muck has the right idea Wink
Mrs I knew you'd love Owain! Too "southern" for me, my first love was a gog BlushWink

Pussycatinboots · 20/06/2020 21:31

Mrs I've all of them on DVD, (and Morse, Lewis, Lynley etc) I likes a good murder Grin
Wreck gimme...c'mon, hand it over Grin the least I need is the recipe, that pic is making me drool Grin

Pussycatinboots · 20/06/2020 21:33

Told DH about your tiffin Wreck and he quoted Sid James in Carry on up the Khyber - "Any time is tiffin time!" Grin

WreckTangled · 20/06/2020 21:35

Grin it's this one I didn't bother with the topping though.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/06/2020 21:39

I want tiffin. Now!!

Boots, it's been removed and I've started drinking it. No wine-y icicles here!
