Morning. Welcome to our new thread.

We maybe have rain today. I really hope we do! I have no ides when we last had it.

I'm baking with the kids today plus potting some plants on. Exciting. No idea where they'll go, mind you!

Only 2 days left of furlough. Yaaay for the financial side and booooo otherwise! 😂

With you there wreck, have started MFP today!

WreckTangled · 03/05/2020 08:46

Oh good we can be accountable to each other Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 03/05/2020 08:47

My batteries went in my scales so I've not weighed myself in ages! I don't think I want to.

Most, they warn you about the 'hangover' from amitriptyline before prescribing it.

Morning everyone 😀
Am just getting ready to go to collect a huge order from Tesco 😀😋😋
On the way l am dropping off a friend's birthday card and a gift , she's 52 and feeling it bless her 💓
Dd1 is doing Mum and Bob 😀 they have requested a shaver for Bob , a new hair styling tool and a loaf of bread this morning 😂😂😂
Quite where l will get those from is anyone's idea 😂
Will order from Amazon methinks.
Talking bout the sub thread l saw 70 on one l was commenting on the other day. Are you like me and it seems strange to see others we know from here 😀it's like a parallel universe😂
Fluffy you are ok aren't you m'dear. Only that shoulder worries me . Take care, you know what it workhorse you are don't overdo it 💐
Wreck l am so far l just don't care anymore though. Life is so horrible the only nice thing is a bit of cakey and a watch of Poirot/Father Brown/Marple/Doc Martin/Countdown and the CV news desperately looking for a chunk of light at the end of this long long tunnel 🙄
Nero said like Maria off elloello 😂😂😂
Glad you are feeling better and thank you for the heads up re subsgate 😂
Boot no plastik ham yesterday instead they had tinned corned beef 😋😂
but DH did them a glorious salad tbf. Onion, cheese, coleslaw, cuc, beetroot, freshly boiled potatoes, hard boiled eggs, lettece, toms and the power de la resistance corned beef 😂😂😂
They both scoffed it all up and complimented DH so 😀👏🤗😋😂
Why Bob is ticking off the days on his calendar and p am not sure if it's so he knows what dotw it is or he's counting down the days till Mum leaves 😂😂😂😂
I would not blame him!
Most well done on the planting and starting MFP it's not easy 🙄🥑🍠🍆🍅🌽🥦🥬🥒🥔🥕🥜👩‍🌾🤔
Better shift huge grocery order to pick up. £85 but that is 20 for Bob, 16 for NDN. Have given up the washing of the food l can't cope with it . I just stick it in the fridge freezer and leave the rest in the garage to decontaminate over time 🙄
Hey ho bath calling have a great day everyone 😀

WreckTangled · 03/05/2020 09:42

In and out of Tesco already. Thankfully everyone adhering to the 2m rule.

BiddyPop · 03/05/2020 10:18

Morning all,
Enjoy the diggin Fluffy
Mrsmad, Bob's hair may need a few weeks to recover!
Wreck, I hope the shopping goes ok.
We've had a few weird subs recently too, but lots of "no longer available " items when I go to amend, which is annoying, so I have to go hunting for a sub myself.

I had a productive day yesterday, finally showed my new seeds (purple mange tout, butter head lettuce, rainbow chard as an experiment, and borlotti beans) and potted on peppers and courgettes. I still have dwarf bean seeds to sow when I get more compost. And converted a pair of jeans which no longer had an arse into a storage bin for DD's room and sewed up 3 lavender hearts that I cut out at least 8 years ago....Blush

Today, I plan to bake a cake and do some tidying.

NerosFiddle · 03/05/2020 11:06

Morning.

I got my Asda shopping list email from Asda earlier. Apparently no semi skimmed milk to be had. I don't drink it anyway but dh will be raging he can't have his cuppa.

Wreck glad you were able to get in and out.

Mrs enjoy the bath.

Fluffy I couldn't take amitriptyline because of the "hangover".
Last year I wouldn't have taken as much as paracetamol, but now I feel as if I rattle when I walk.

Most relax when you can.

Buddy I'm intrigued by your jean bin.

FireflyGirl · 03/05/2020 11:29

Morning, sorry for missing a couple of days. I'm so knackered by the end of the week, just catching up with the chat is hard.

Am grumpy today - DH's alarm went off at 7.10. And 7.20. And 7.30. Then DS didn't wake up until gone 8, and he played quietly in his room until 9.30, and when he came in to ask to go downstairs DH was grumpy with him. He got a death glare while I went downstairs with DS.

He spent most of yesterday looking after DS while I napped, or tidying while I watched TV with DS, and he's sent me back to bed now, so he does pull his weight, but I'm still pissed because I've been awake since 7.10 for no reason Angry

Morrisons didn't sub my out of stock fishfingers!! DM is going to pop round later to drop some off (in exchange for the Stork Marge I managed to get, which she couldn't find), otherwise DS would be rioting on Wednesday!

NoWordForFluffy · 03/05/2020 16:15

No fishfingers?! Travesty! I'm glad your DM is sorting you out.

And I'd be pissed off if I was woken like that too, Firefly.

I felt like I rattled when I walked when my shoulder was at its worst, Neros! I'm OK with just amitriptyline at night for now though. Once I've recovered from the hideous digging of plot 2, it'll be OK again (it aches a bit, but anybody would've been sore after digging that bloody nightmare plot!).

Biddy, I too am intrigued by the bin. Photos?!

I didn't get everything done I wanted to at the allotment. I did remove loads of mares tail from my 3 remaining beds (parsnip and green beans x 2) which took longer than anticipated. I'll do more on Friday (sowing parsnips plus putting all of my beans in the ground).

Neros, I can't believe there was no S/S milk at all. Chinny reckon, in fact! 😂

Wreck, I'm glad Tesco was a pleasant enough trip for you.

Mrs, I hope you've had a lovely day.

BiddyPop · 03/05/2020 16:48

It’s just a small countertop storage bin (water bottle for scale purposes) - I had the “graffiti” cotton to line it already but needed stronger interfacing/stiffening for the sides.

Mrsmadevans · 03/05/2020 18:55

Criky Wreck you WERE quick in Tesco! 😀
Biddy if l were Bob l would wear what to hide it! 😂
Rainbow chard sounds lovely, very Charlie and the chocolate factory 😂
Nero am intrigued by the Jean bin too 😂 just saw the pic it's fab she's amazing!
Fire definitely give DH the death glare, how dare he be grumpy when Ds had been such a good boy 🤗 pity bout the fish fingers but never mind , good old DM 💐
Fluffy glad your shoulder isn't too bad 🤗
Are you back to commuting tomorrow or are you working from home? Hope you don't have to commute 🤗
I had a smashing day thank you 😀 brilliant shop from Tesco only sub was grapes for wait for it ....grapes 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 03/05/2020 19:05

No commute, thankfully. Still happily WFH! Though I've no doubt we'll get dragged back to the office ASAP once restrictions are lifted, even with the risk on the train.

Biddy, I love the bin; you're so talented!

Mrs, I'm glad you had a nice day. 😁

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 03/05/2020 19:11

Thank God no commute ! Grin yet at least!
Think it is ovbious they haven't a leg to stand on re your working from home in future though, as is the case for an awful lot of ppl.
I know Biddy's bin is trememdous ! Thank you Fluffy , it was delightful for a change to just get out and be free Smile

pussycatinboots · 03/05/2020 19:24

Mrs I'd complain about the grapes - surely they should have been substituted for Wine Grin

Mrsmadevans · 03/05/2020 20:08

GrinGrin most defo Boot Grin! Must go and look at the subs thread Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/05/2020 20:23

Love the denim bin Biddy Xmas Grin
I gave to sew a ripped pocket on DD jeans (they still fit her ..they're still sitting there !)

Beat The Chaser was on last week (9pm) , I dutifully watched , DH and I went to the filming ( there were some really good contestants on our shift )
When we watched the shows , kept saying "Nope they weren't one of ours .."

Only the blonde woman ( I think Sally) and the Mum of 4 girls (near 30 , got knocked out first question) were on our day .
The woman who won the Big Money (Well Done madam) wasn't one of ours sadly .

Everyone in my house is losing tack of days here (though DH WFH 5 days , I work P/T 4 days ).

DS had a P/T job that might get back on track , not sure yet .

Supermarket Subs are an Enigma Wrapped In A Puzzle . It's like Russian Roulette Xmas Grin

CrazyBaubles · 03/05/2020 21:53

I have lost today to crafting and napping. TMI - cramping is bloody awful atm (endo) so I have literally been in bed with a hot water bottle and crocheting to distract myself all day.

I've also watched an embarrassing amount of old Silent Witness episodes (I can follow them without watching so I can crochet at the same time).

I've attached a pic of today's creation - shes called Doris and will be a Christmas present for my niece.

Biddy I'm impressed with your storage bin!

Fluffy I hope your shoulder feels better soon.

Sorry for all the posts I haven't mentioned. I've read them but have almost no concentration today 🤯

I won't do the countdown Because I really haven't got a clue what dotw it is🙄😂
Crazy, ahhh sweetheart , hugs and love winging it's way to you. 🤗💐
Doris is gorgeous 😍
Dn will love her l am sure 🤗
We have been watching old series of SW too, l am avoiding the series where Harry dies 😭 but when you watch them again you realise how excellent they are 🤗👏
Most you seem to be very organised ! Well done! I don't know if I can muster up the energy to do that tbh with you. I seem to lurch from one day to the next eating my way through it 😂😂😂🍪🧁🍥🍰🥯🥪🥖🥙🍛🍛🍟🌯
Wreck there are no words , didn't they give you the option to stay at home? Can you take them up on it now?
Fluffy have a good day l know you work so hard, they will get even more out of you working from home 🤔 hope your Shoulder is feeling better today 💐
Better shift , up to see to Mum & Bob. Have a great day everyone 😀

NoWordForFluffy · 04/05/2020 07:59

235

Morning! It's a lovely sunny day! I hate WFH on days like this as I just want to be outside. It's not the same when I'm in the office as it's easier to shift to work mode.

Crazy, I hope you feel better soon.

Most, I hope you don't get random stuff in your box that leaves you Confused Grin

The shoulder seems OK, thank you. I'll drop down to 1 amitriptyline tonight and see what happens.

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 04/05/2020 08:01

235 thought l would go back and do the countdown and then saw 70s post . Sounds really interesting the chaser filming. What are they all like and is Bradley as lovely as he seems? 😀
Good news re the job front for the whole family 70 .
Excellent 👍👌😊
Better shift now have a great day everyone 😀

Mrsmadevans · 04/05/2020 08:09

Not sunny here Fluffy 🙄
Dd2 finds WFH is dire . She hates it. She would rather commute in every day 🤪
You make sure you take all your breaks and can you start earlier and finish earlier? Mindvyoi are not missing much none of us can do owy anyway. I ventured out to M&S/Waitrose yesterday and am now getting paranoid l have because l coughed this morning 🙄🤪 🤔🙃🤯
Hey ho hypochondriac here 😂😂😂

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 04/05/2020 08:48

Just looked at the ONS data for Covid and we live in the worst postcode in Newport. 12 deaths in a distance I can walk in about 15 mins.

Mrsmadevans · 04/05/2020 09:30

I know Most it's very worrying for some of us . I have looked and it has reassured me and I will go shopping now but it will be to Brecon when l do Mum .
So am not going out of my way. It's looking more like the end of lockdown is in sight though. Please God 🙏
