Afternoon.

Here we go again! It feels slightly bonkers setting off again before today is over, but it's tradition, so who am I to argue?!

Chinese it is. DD has had a pyjama day, but did put her jeans over the to go to Marks and Spencer.

We've cracked open a bottle and eaten our starters, so we'll probably just pick at a few more bits for an hour or two.

I'm itching to take our tree down. I want to give the house a good scrub!

And in case I fall asleep...

My tree came down yesterday.

I can't eat Chinese but love it! I would want crispy shredded beef and chicken chow mien but would have to have Indian instead.

Ds has a new book he loves. I think there's 3 or 4 in the series so he's going to buy the rest with his Christmas money. It's called rabbit and bear if anyone is interested it's perfect for his (average?) reading ability and a lovely story.

DH has been driving me nuts with his yawning, sniffing, snorting , grunting and coughing . I said to him 'do you have to make so much noise? He went to the kitchen and swallowed some cough mixture and made a huge song and dance about it l can tell you. However he has taken notice of my complaints and has stopped it by about 90% , thank God !

Morning. No fireworks here, not that I heard anyway. Ds got into bed with me at some point so I haven't slept well. My insulin pump alarmed when I was putting him to bed last night and he thought it was the smoke alarm so he was worrying about that!

I'm not a fan of New Years at all really. I find it dull and it just reminds me how little I've achieved in the previous year

DH and I stumbled up to bed at 10.30 as we could barely keep our eyes open, only to be woken up by the fireworks. They seemed to go on forever

I bought some lights and decorations for the 2020 tree - all half-price.
Hoping to hit the shops later this week to start on stocking fillers.
Not sure about getting Santa presents as DC of an age where belief could peter out by Christmas.

I can't believe it's all over now. I try to be organised more and more every year but still end up a stressed mess in December. I've bought cards for next year so far which I am going to write in October and have about 20 Christmas DVD's in my Amazon basket. I will enjoy next December!!!

Film was good. We're just waiting for food now. Had to ask to move tables as the big group next to us stank of week

I bought myself an Adidas hoody and t shirt for £27. Got to get back into exercising again so it's my motivation

We did our washing last night and put it out this morning. Though we've washed on NYD before as we aren't superstitious.

I can't be arsed to take the decorations down, though I normally would. It'll be Sat now!

Well l'll be blowed . l didn't know it was unlucky to do the washing on a New Years Day. I have just done 2 loads
We are taking my Mum's down tomorrow and giving it a clean there , then we are taking ours down on Sunday 12th night . We always do them 12th night .It's a tradition with us

We've just got back. I bought some other things too a denim shirt and jumper for me plus two t shirts and leggings for dd all from gap £41. DH bought himself a much needed coat and some trainers with his birthday money.

Just going to do cheese and crackers tonight I think. Tomorrow dd is going to the cinema with her friend so I'm going to do some housework and hopefully some exercise!

I'm making lunch now and trying to get rid of all the party food that's ing out of date in the next couple of days.

Have hoovered, packed dd off to the cinema with a friend, washed and hung a load of washing and folded another. Did a 30 min weights workout and then 45 min yoga. I haven't exercised for about six months so am sad to say my fitness level is shit right now
