Afternoon.

Here we go again! It feels slightly bonkers setting off again before today is over, but it's tradition, so who am I to argue?!

I had a lift home with them, so Dh went home ahead of me at 11. He had a good chill on the sofa watching his man programmes think , Time Team, New Tricks, Dad's Army , Homes under the Hammer, Wanted down under, American Pickers , Border Security Au & anything with trains, buses, space or planes in Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 16/01/2020 19:50

Mrs, how did your DD's mortgage appointment go?

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 16/01/2020 20:10

Good evening all. Mrs you have been busy. I forgot to bookmark the last post on here I looked at and it took ages to scroll back down again.

I got the NHS job I went for which is pretty cool and amazing. I think I should take up waffling on some kind of professional level.

WreckTangled · 16/01/2020 20:15

That's great news! Welcome to the club Grin best bit is 20% off at Nando's Grin

Mrsmadevans · 16/01/2020 20:15

Fluffy it went very well thankfully Smile
She was very nervous but we couldn't go with her because of Mum & the visitors and it was only for a mortgage in principle . When she goes for one properly l will go with her Smile

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 16/01/2020 20:47

That is good to know Wreck (I have not been to Nandos yet - not that I live under a rock but I partially do) grins

Mrsmadevans · 16/01/2020 20:52

Excellent news Why! Well done Smile

FireflyGirl · 16/01/2020 20:52

Congratulations on the job, why.

Fingers crossed for your daughter, MrsM.

Mrsmadevans · 16/01/2020 21:28

Ahhh thank you Firefly that is so kind of you Smile l have everything crossed Smile

NerosFiddle · 16/01/2020 22:00

Evening all.

Some good news in the fiddle household. Dh got a big promotion. It's only for 6 months, and he'll be away for most of it but it's something he really deserves.

Why congratulations too.

Biddy did you get stuck in the protest today?

I really want some minstrels now.
Food poisoning is awful. Hope he feels better soon.

Fluffy hope you hear tomorrow re your 9day fortnight.

Mrs glad your dm enjoyed herself. Has any more been said by your sister?

Mrsmadevans · 16/01/2020 23:45

@NerosFiddle that is excellent news ! l know its only for 6 months but you don''t know, it may turn out to be permanent YAY! Grin
My sister is moaning all the time, she even moaned because l bought her washing in off my Mum's line when it was blowing a gale because 'it is still wet' Hmm . l don't even watch the Nanny cam now because she can't say any worse than she already has Hmm.
Mum was upset the other day about Dad . She said 'l have this pain in my throat and chest' l told her to let it all out and to open her mouth and cry to relieve the pain. She told me that my sister had told her 'you sound like an animal when you do that'. I was stunned my sister could be so cruel.Sad
My Mum's bank statement came yesterday , my sister examined it & because Mum wouldn't tell her who the ppl were, she had given cheques to for Christmas on the statement she was furious. My Mum gave my sister & her DH a £300 cheque for Christmas but because Mum wouldn't tell her the ppl who she gave the cheques to, my sister has threatened not to cash the cheque in unless she tells her . I have given up on her l really have .

Morning!

Good news re your DD, Mrs, bless her. It's a big step, isn't it? And your sister is a bloody nightmare. All she's doing is being abusive to your mum and cutting off her nose to spite her face in not cashing the cheque. Your mum's finances are none of her business (unless somebody was stealing her money, and she was being exploited, but they're not). It's disgusting how obsessed with her bloody inheritance she is. She's a ghoul.

Neros, brilliant news! How do you feel about him being away so much though? That'll be hard with little ones (though I went to Glasgow for 3 nights a week when mine were a similar age!).

Why, have you got a Nando's there (have I seen one near Tesco)? Apparently there's Domino's discount too! 🍕

It's raining here. The forecast changed overnight. After our washing was out! So it'll likely stay out until tomorrow unless the wind really does the job today!

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 17/01/2020 07:03

Yes Fluffy there is one near Tesco. I have never fancied going though.

Mrs your sister is an abusive nightmare. Makes me wonder what people get out of being like that.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/01/2020 07:08

To be honest, I've been to Nando's once in my life, about 4 years' ago. Over-priced and not amazing, in my opinion!

WreckTangled · 17/01/2020 07:19

Mrs try a your sister is so awful Sad

Fluffy dominos used to be 50% off collection but it's only 20% now so other deals are usually better. My dc like Nando's and I like it as it's easy to low carb there. I can get food for me and the dc for less than £20 with my discount.

I'm going food shopping this morning then it's sharing assembly this afternoon.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/01/2020 07:30

My kids are hit and miss about chicken (it's a bone of contention!). And I just wasn't that enamoured when I went. Good if it's handy though, and liked (with a discount!).

It's actually chucking it down, I discovered when I left the house. Not good!

FireflyGirl · 17/01/2020 07:55

I like Nandos. Agree that it's overpriced, though.

DS doesn't eat chicken, so he'd just have chips Hmm which he could have anywhere. I tend to take him for pasta instead, if we're eating out.

If I fancy Nandos, I just make it myself at home and get told off by My Fitness Pal for exceeding my daily salt levels
