Yes, she came up from London. I've briefly forgotten her sister's name but it will come back to me when I'm awake properly.

I did try to start looking to do the family tree but I don't know enough about her background really. It'd take forever adding our parents' generation and our generation / children to it! 😂😂 80+ people later...

Morning. Back to work and school we go! Will be an office day today. Have reserved two books at the library but still waiting for one to arrive so if that comes I'll pop up and get them

Ours are back to school tomorrow as it's an inset day today. Swimming restarts tonight though.

We have swimming tonight too. Our inset is next Tuesday?! So annoying. DH is taking the day off.

Our parents were from a set of 12 siblings, flouncy. We have more than 30 cousins, then most of the cousins have at least 2 kids. I maybe underestimated above! 😂

Must try to get Dd2 sorted with a flat share of some sort , if l only had a crystal ball to see what the housing market was going to be like 😄. We could wait or buy then . It's all up in the air atm for everyone.

Bleurgh. My car won't start. DH isn't answering his phone so I've had to call his boss to go to the job and get him to come back and jump me. No idea when I'm going to get it sorted though

Wreck are you covered by the lease for car assistance m'dear? The car sounds bloody useless, it's only 2 yr old surely? Just as well it's a lease car , that is one of the great things about leasing. It's stress free motoring. Well it's supposed to be 🤗. Hope it gets sorted soon. 💐

Yes I am but it's easier to get DH to come. I need a new battery but they didn't have any in stock on Friday. I haven't driven it since Friday so that's not helped. I'll go to the dealership on Friday just need to keep it going until then...!

That's a pain, wreck. It's that time of year, though. There'll be loads not starting today! You shouldn't be having that issue if it's only 2 years old though!!

I'm from a large extended family too - my mum's one of 6 and my dad's one of 11, all of whom had at least 2 children, so I have nearly 40 cousins, plus now their partners and children. We just stay in touch with a few, and don't bother with cards/presents at birthdays!!

We don't have working from home in our trust I'm at work now so it's ok

Today is women's little Christmas in Ireland. The day were traditionally woman got the day off their usual chores.

Wreck my dh just said last night that today is called flat battery Monday. People haven't used their car for a couple of weeks and now it won't start. I know this isn't the case with you though.

Happy Nollaig na mBan from another Irish Christmas Nut, and Happy 3 Kings celebration to those who celebrate that (I think it's an especially Spanish feast).

I am updating my accounts spreadsheet this morning to see the full extent of the damage of the past 2 weeks (hint, it's scary!!), and also roll over my presents spreadsheet for this year. Also dealing with the results of "back to work insomnia" so already on my 2nd coffee (and really think I need a 3rd today). DD is en route home from Vienna after enjoying the tournament (they all played really well, and won their final match - which was great as the standard was really high!).

Wreck, sorry to hear about the battery, glad DH got it sorted, hopefully it will be ok the rest of the week - DMIL had similar over the weekend with her brand new car (but it had sat in the dealers for 5 weeks...).

I have 5 siblings, so large extended family here too. My DF has 5 siblings also, and DM has 2, while 3 of my DGPs came from very large families (9, 7 and 8 as far as I know - other DGF only had 1 sibling) so the actual extended families are, um, extensive!! (Will see many on 1 side tomorrow, as I have a funeral to go to).

Actually, I had better get on and catch up on the other emails (I was watching the urgent ones, but there is a pile of less urgent ones I ignored)….
