Ok so twitching on Grandparent buying DS AirPods but ... now sleep deprived and way behind , genuine Q: ignoring the new just out ones is the only difference on the older ones that the ones selling for around about £130 each is that the case you have to plug-in with the cord to charge it and the more expensive ones about £200 ish you still have to put the case in with a cord but it also has the facility to wirelessly charge as long as you buy the not included charging mat which costs about£ 36.

Have I got this right or have I completely misunderstood huge thanks !

Elpheba · 19/12/2019 08:41

Boden sale started as pp mentioned and code G3E4 takes a further 15% off childrenswear

Carrie76 · 19/12/2019 08:51

DD (4) broke her favorite decoration last night, it’s a musical snow globe. She was given it for her first Christmas. Please let me know if you see one like it, she’s very sad.

@lifelongfrugaleer that is excellent thank you! I can have a look after the school run.

Tooner · 19/12/2019 09:15

Ds has just informed me he would like one of those ridiculously priced Oodie hoodie things for Xmas. I'm not prepared to spend fifty odd quid on one so I'm looking for a cheaper version. There are lots online but I'm not sure of the quality. Has anyone got any recommendations please either online or in the shops?

shumway · 19/12/2019 09:16

I got the sock game for £9.99 in Tk Maxx. Seems to be at least £15 elsewhere.

margaritasbythesea · 19/12/2019 09:28

PrettyPurpleFeather - thanks that trip to lidl was a win. Got a large red plate and a candle in a vase. I can work with them. Also found squirrel proof bird feeders for 3.99. Bargain. Ive been eyeing them up for around 9.99 elsewhere

mammmamia · 19/12/2019 09:44

Please could someone recommend a dash cam? My mum wants one. Something simple to use.

mammmamia · 19/12/2019 10:06

I need an alarm clock for 9yo DS. Can’t find anything suitable, any suggestions please? Thank you!

Mistressiggi · 19/12/2019 10:16

Get an Alexa/google mini then you can program it to about at him remotely Grin

LazyDaisey · 19/12/2019 10:19

@MissMarple0203.
I recommend charger plates from Poundland. I have them in red and gold and they really set the table and make ordinary plates look special. You don’t notice how cheap and plastic they are because you only see a bit of them sticking out. Very easy to also add a
1/ few twigs of greenery from the garden or buy some rosemary or sage from the shop around the edge to decorate or in centre like the attached

2/ make or buy some Christmas napkins to colour coordinate and use a plain white or beige tablecloth. Easy to change the entire look every year by changing the colour of your napkins

If you like that sparkly lights in a jar look, they have lights in Poundland too.

I think that small copper lights from amazon draping some twigs from the garden would look great as a centrepiece (instead of flowers). You could stick some pine cones and moss in a vase like shown. Great “scavenger hunt” activity for the kids to get them out for a walk too.

@mammmamia what about something like amazon.co.uk/Digital-Bedrooms-Bluetooth-Speaker-Adjustable/dp/B07V296LTV]]

RocketJoy · 19/12/2019 11:53

Has anyone seen any (bargain!) fireman Sam things? My 3yr old isn’t suddenly quite obsessed but I’vr already done most of their gifts so just look for wee extras. I’d love to get a busy book with figures but can’t find any. Any suggestions? Thank you

strictlymomdancing · 19/12/2019 12:17

any boden vouchers please?

looking also for lip gloss recommendations?

Any MAC or similar high brand make up discounts or deals?

noseynose · 19/12/2019 12:26

If anyone is still looking for toys, I have had a few good deals from Argos recently. Hatchimals hatchy suitcase with 30 colleggtibles is currently down to £20. I also got the Paw Patrol Mighty Jet for £30. I missed this when it was 35 in Asda so was pleased to find it in stock at a reasonable price.

Scoleah · 19/12/2019 12:45

@rocketjoy they have the figure pack (I think there's 5 in there) for £8.99 in B&M

EvilPea · 19/12/2019 13:30

Be quick with b and m. It’s like Locusts have been in my two local ones. They are starting to clear the Christmas stuff and put in the cleaning and sorting January stuff.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/12/2019 13:39

I'm liking the table centerpiece ideas. May set my DC off over the weekend

Unihorn · 19/12/2019 13:53

Got the plates thank you lifelongfrugaleer for the tip off. They were selling fast though!

mammmamia · 19/12/2019 14:24

Cleaning and sorting January stuff Shock how un festive!

mondaywine · 19/12/2019 14:29

Looking for a coffee subscription for DH. He uses a mixture of nespresso pods and espresso ground coffee. Thank you!

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 19/12/2019 15:12

That Harry Potter book I posted about earlier from Amazon has just arrived and looks really good - jam packed with stuff and quite interactive.

The headphones I posted have also arrived and look good - they come in their own carrycase. But obviously I can't comment on quality yet.

myfavouriterain · 19/12/2019 15:36

My DD, just turned 6, has this top of her list. I haven't got it. It seems babyish and plastic tat. But I don't want her to think santa has ignored her. What would you do?
