Thought I'd start a thread over here as to not overrun the bargain thread.

I have ordered two. One being diabetic, I will admit I did think it a bit strange that there were no individual diabetic items on the site. Saying that, I am crossing my fingers hoping it will arrive.

If anyone has any updates, refund actually back in back/orders received 🤞 please post here.

So up until now I’ve been playing hamper chicken and haven’t requested a refund... however I’m starting to reach the end of my patience...

Themazeoflife · 11/12/2019 08:48

I have requested refund, I was going to wait but I had to buy alternatives.

QOD · 11/12/2019 08:49

I’ve cracked too

starrynight19 · 11/12/2019 09:27

Anyone still waiting for hampers I wouldn’t bother. Just been sent something from someone via their Facebook. Shocking Angry Would rather not post on here but feel free to message me

MrsReader · 11/12/2019 09:29

Just asked for a refund, was happy to wait for my hamper but starting to wonder what sort of crap they will chuck in it...

Themazeoflife · 11/12/2019 09:37

Not sure if I should contact my bank or not. No auto reply via FB messages this time.

LutherRalph1 · 11/12/2019 09:42

Courtney555 · 11/12/2019 10:02

Starry don't start vague posting ffs

Quite. Just to tell us if it's new, useful, information.

Weezy7 · 11/12/2019 10:03

Sorry Starry but I've pm'd you too!

Floopsy · 11/12/2019 10:05

@oneofthose

I'm using this as a case study with my Eco classes too! It's almost as good as The Apprentice for showing how to be shit at business.

NewBabyJoy · 11/12/2019 10:35

@Floopsy is it shit though? Perhaps not if the interest-free loan theory is true...

Themazeoflife · 11/12/2019 10:41

They have £100 of my money Sad

CrapTVAddict · 11/12/2019 10:57

How do you PM someone? Can anyone PM if they have PM starry?
I'm invested in this too much!

marchingonwithmother · 11/12/2019 11:03

I don't think it's as elaborate as they needed a loan and came up with this convoluted way of getting one.

They stand to make a fair bit of money though. People keep talking about this £10 hamper but actually there were very few of those. Mine were £12 each and I ordered 3. Pps have said they spent £100. Most of those commenting on fbook have ordered several.

If the average order is £35 and we know they've had around 6000 orders that is £210,000. They clearly didn't know about chargeback, many customers paying by debit card won't either so will just write it off. Some are that convinced by them and feel sorry for them that they'll just write it off. Some have said its worth £12 just to play hamper chicken.

If 80% of people ask for their money back then they've made £42,000.

They were annoyed by the chargebacks as they didn't know about them.

As they've set up the company legitimately and ordered stock from suppliers (even though they hadn't paid), offered refunds to anyone who wants them etc. they can demonstrate that they were genuinely attempting a business even if they weren't.

They've managed people's expectations by advertising delayed delivery until December, some might even forget they've ordered it.

And they've had around £200,000 sitting in their account gaining interest

marchingonwithmother · 11/12/2019 11:06

@starrynight19 come on!!!! Where are you? Grin

VividImagination · 11/12/2019 11:11

@starrynight19 I’ve pm’d you

studentvera · 11/12/2019 11:12

Starry what did they say please?

Themazeoflife · 11/12/2019 11:25

Have managed to dispute 3/6 payments with the bank.
