Thought I'd start a thread over here as to not overrun the bargain thread.

I have ordered two. One being diabetic, I will admit I did think it a bit strange that there were no individual diabetic items on the site. Saying that, I am crossing my fingers hoping it will arrive.

If anyone has any updates, refund actually back in back/orders received 🤞 please post here.

@Themazeoflife if that's the case why can't we seem to find one person who has had a delivery since they started sending them out on 1st December? It's the 10th!

I know nothing about online retail... how does Shopify work if you refund but you don’t actually have the money in your account to refund a customer? Does Shopify “bill you” and take it off when you next put money in? or do you have to hold the funds in their accounts until product is shipped?

Not this company but I ordered something via Facebook that didn't come. There is a specific website called action fraud that you can report it to. It's then logged with the police(I assume when they see a pattern of dodgy dealings) I did this told the person and the refund miraculously appeared in my bank account after having been told for 6 weeks it was being done that day!

@christmassymcchristmas I don't think they did post them last week, I think they massively under estimated how long it would take to get orders ready, I think they are all being posted this week but I'm also not holding my breath and could be totally wrong on every account.

I'm not sure it's a full on scam where they have no intention of sending anything. There was another situation about six months ago with another company, not hampers but mystery boxes that were more popular than the sellers had expected so driven by greed, they sold a load more, vastly underestimating how long it'd take to pack and ship them and not being entirely honest about delivery dates. When they did eventually arrive, a lot of them were of questionable quality because they'd realised they were onto a good thing and sourced any old shite to produce more. They didn't start out with bad intentions but got very, very greedy. I suspect something similar has happened here. If it's true that they've pissed suppliers off and they've sold a lot more hampers than they planned to, they may well be struggling to get all the stock they need, which could be why they're happy to issue refunds.

Obviously the hampers are on a larger scale, but I once ordered from an eBay seller and the item never arrived - when you sell something on a Buy it Now sale (providing you're not a brand new seller and this one wasn't!) you get the cleared funds straightaway from PayPal.

They refunded everyone (there were a lot!) and it transpires they were basically using the PayPal money as a short term loan facility before payday, so they got the money, and then refunded everyone when they got paid Hmm

It's really very annoying, and Thanks for everyone who has given HamperFuckers their money.

Ah balls

I've just requested a refund now due to the allegations that DPD don't have them as a customer. Was going to hang on to the end of the week but that's put the final nail in the coffin. Be interested to see what actually happens in the end!

I only ordered 1 hamper so was happy to play hamper chicken, however this morning when the website had disappeared I messaged to ask for a refund...(I had paid via Klarna as was a bit unsure and liked the idea of having a middle man in-between to protect card details). Anyway, they sent me a message back stating that the hampers would be shipped this week and did I still want a refund...but before I could reply, I recieved a message from Klarna stating they had recieved a refund🤷 so I really don't know what to think...seems to get stranger and stranger

All these people requesting refunds and not one person has come back saying I couldn't have one as my order has been despatched. And I was refunded by 6.40am having requested it at 4.30am (night feeds)

There's no way they'll get 5000 hampers out if nobody has received any yet.

At the minimum of £10 an order, they've had a £50k interest free loan.

Just found this thread, I commented on the Christmas Bargains thread about my suspicions a while back. Still can't work out what on earth they're up to though. Just find it astonishing that so many people on facebook are happy to wait when the suppliers haven't been paid and the landlady said they'd gone owing everyone. The lure of a bargain is strong with this one Grin

I have caved and requested a refund before they go bankrupt!

I just looked back and they said all hampers would be posted by today. Even if they were a bit behind someone would have come forward by now if they had received one!

I had placed 2 separate orders. Requested a refund for one of them yesterday morning. Was more than happy to play hamper chicken with my second order for a while as I’m intrigued Smile. Within 10 mins I’d had an email confirmation for both orders and the money’s gone back into my account this afternoon. Wonder if we’ll ever find out what it’s all about.

So odd and intriguing!. I'm pretty sure all those overly-supportive comments on Facebook must be fake...a quick Google shows loads of add-ons/tools where you can write your own comments / replies / likes against random names. So I reckon it's a scam...so bizarre as it's so elaborate!

The chocolates they did not pay for are in that hamper.

Lots of people on Facebook saying they have been sent refunds that they haven't asked for and that they would rather wait patiently for their imaginary hampers. HGC replied a few minutes ago stating that these refund emails were caused by a "software glitch" and that the hampers are on their way. It's so fascinating. I have bern refreshing my Facebook page all day.

It's just all so weird! I keep being convinced it's a scam and then something comes along and I think oh but why?! Saying that I'm still playing hamper chicken!

Totally channeling Pam today. preserves retail for £3.50-5 what exactly was meant to be in a £12 quid hamper? I can’t imagine this type of small local producer would be able to sell at low wholesale costs to them.
