Thought I'd start a thread over here as to not overrun the bargain thread.

I have ordered two. One being diabetic, I will admit I did think it a bit strange that there were no individual diabetic items on the site. Saying that, I am crossing my fingers hoping it will arrive.

If anyone has any updates, refund actually back in back/orders received 🤞 please post here.

Thank you for telling us your side of the hgc hampers, the hampers that was never going to be delivered.
They are just crooks who took Our money to use for their crimes

Really pissed off with them now. Have left them a message stating that if an immediate refund is not received a chargeback will be requested and a report made to action fraud.

Reluctant why not just speak to your bank rather than wait around for them?

They are offering authorisation codes to prove the refunds have been processed.

@marchingonwithmother unfortunately bank with Lloyds - who are unhelpful and difficult at the best of times. They want everything in writing - last prod of hgc produced one refund, so hopeful last one will show up.

@Wonka77 I have just placed a order for a few extra christmas gifts! The little unicorns are lovely! Also free delivery if spending over £20 is a great deal.
I know it doesn't really help when you have been conned out of hundreds but I will recommend you to my friends and family who want to support a small independent business.

If they aren’t responding it’s probably best to just contact your bank or credit card company and cancel.

M&S have 20% off some hampers plus free delivery - it says free delivery on selected ones but I got free delivery on a £24 one.

Just to clarify, that we posted to try and get customers of Highland Gift Company to report the intention to defraud to the police, not to drum up extra business. The £10k figure we quoted is the approximate total owed to all suppliers. We are owed a 3 figure sum. Others are on the hook to this ‘Company’ for thousands of pounds. We actually figured out the connection to D&R Painters not long after our post and passed all this information onto the authorities last night. We have a few ideas of what we will do with it today but having looked at the history of the director’s friends and family, it might be best to leave to those in power to deal with. Thanks again for your support though.

Both my refunds are now pending in my account thank goodness. I’ve had a look at different hampers and can’t find exactly what I want so I might make my own. I hope everyone else can find replacement gifts in time.

I’ve had a refund of 2 of my 3 orders. Hopefully the third one won’t be far behind.

I have one more refund to come after getting two I did a chargeback so if it doesn't arrive the credit card company will chase. I'm going to look at Oban chocolates as well..

I also have family in Battersea and no way would I buy a cheap hamper there

Hilarious. Who in their right mind would want a battersea hamper . The reason we went for the bargain hampers is because we all know how lovely the produce is. There are millions of half price offers on over Xmas, the xenophobic comment is probably the most ridiculous thing I've read on Mumsnet.

@@Wonka77 you should team up with the other suppliers and offer hampers yourselves next christmas, if anything this has demonstrated how much of a demand there is for christmas hampers (even at a more realistic price) and you read some of the posters saying it was your product in the hamper which encouraged them to buy. Wishing your company every success and really hope you can recover your money 😀

No refund here yet either. I only got a text acknowledgement of my order, not an email and the number is no longer in use so I’m not quite sure what to do now. Have people had success contacting via the Facebook page?

I tried messenger after they stopped me commenting on their Facebook page but on messenger the messages fail to send as it’s marked away
I contacted my bank as I’ve had nothing from hgc

I asked for proof of my refund and after no reply, posted on their Facebook that I'd be raising a chargeback and reporting them. My comment was swiftly deleted and I'm now blocked from posting and messaging them 🙄

Just spoken to my CC and I had a full refund on 10th Dec (I made my order on 1st).

I hadn't actually requested one as I thought I had to wait 15 days.

I wonder if we'll ever know what it has all been about.

My Refund for 2 Hampers came through today. It's all quiet bizarre! I never got in touch with them to request one, so hopefully it's just working it's way round everyone - Good luck 👍🏻

I maybe being dense, but how would the money laundering work? I thought that involved swapping 'dirty' cash for 'clean' whereas they have loads of clean electronic money (well mine was anyway!) and repaying electronically.

No email or refund here. Sigh

It's all very weird isn't it. I spoke to the disputes team at my bank today and she couldnt believe they were refunding people. Said she's never known anything like it. She said to give them the 5 days to refund then if no refund they would chargeback for me on tuesday.

I got a refund through chargeback and today a refund from the "company" wankbastards Will the bank realise and take it back or should I tell them I wonder (takes a looong time to speak to the bank)
There are still people on Facebook thanking them and wishing them luck etc.

I’ve just been refunded too. Odder and odder!
