Thank you @luckiestgirl for the title which came from her post which I’ve copied below

‘I twitched on the moles.
And the Clinique
And at body shop (30% off)
And at love honey (I got £20 off)
And I’ve somehow bought an 8 foot Christmas tree.
And lights
And a TV.
And a fitness tracker.
And stocking fillers for the kids.

Oh god, stop me now please‘

1122christy - thank you for the funkoverse tip. I saw it in Tesco the other day but no way was I paying £40 for it.

Jammiebammie · 07/12/2019 11:19

Is the funko verse still reduced? It’s on my list for DN but can’t find it for that price on amazon, will be gutted if I missed it!

LazyDaisey · 07/12/2019 11:32

Hasbro’s Toilet Trouble game half price at Argos for £8

Bansku19 · 07/12/2019 11:32

@LazyDaisey I ordered the NumNom set earlier this year. The slime was a solid piece. I think it was an old set.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 07/12/2019 11:32

Not a bargain but could be a good present for someone who is difficult to buy for or who suggests charity type gifts is something from OutsideIn.

When you buy a bobble hat, beanie, tshirt, hoodie etc it comes with an additional product for someone who is homeless (you can either elect to have that product sent to you to give to a homeless person yourself or Outside In will do that for you during their outreach).

The bobble hats look lovely so I've ordered one for student DD

hoopdeloop · 07/12/2019 11:55

@handmademitlove for reusable cleaning for make up, I have a magnitone facecloth and you just use warm water. It’s washable so would go until disgusting! I got it in the powder box that’s mentioned a wee bit back for £10 which contains other bits and bobs. It was worth it for the cloth alone

Purpletigers · 07/12/2019 12:22

Has anyone seen a good deal on “Cards against humanity “? It’s out of stock on amazon and it seems too cheap on eBay so I’m wondering if they’re fakes .

christmassymcchristmas · 07/12/2019 12:50

Sheepskin insoles have just arrived. I'm now thinking my feet might feel squished if I put them in my boots. Are they better in wellies? Got a pair for my dog walking friend, she'll think it's a very random pressie Grin

nov1ce · 07/12/2019 12:54

I'm still looking for a good deal on kids PJs and a game fir me did's 8 and 11, we have and live dobble and also have exploding kittens (thx to mums net recommendations!) what can I get them this year?! As for pjs, Tesco has some nice ones but £12 each seemed expensive as a filler present!

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 07/12/2019 12:54

Re the hampers. If it is a scam I genuinely don't believe they would have updated the website to say everything is out of stock. That's almost like saying they suddenly developed a conscience and decided they scammed enough people now!

Themazeoflife · 07/12/2019 12:58

20% off M&S

Thread 18 - Oh god, stop me now please
PaddingtonBearHardStare · 07/12/2019 13:00

Hmmm maybe I spoke too soon as I've just checked my account and it says my order status is fulfilled on 8th November

christmassymcchristmas · 07/12/2019 13:13

They could've removed the stock to plead poverty. The suppliers they owe will be going through the proper channels to get their money back.

I'm going to feel pretty crap either way if mine come and contain Oban chocolates. Small family business, ripped off

1122christy · 07/12/2019 13:40

@Jammiebammie looks like it has went back up to full price again!

Jammiebammie · 07/12/2019 13:59

@1122christy darn it! Thank you for posting, it’s strange because it’s saying £38 but when I scroll to the bottom it says ‘this item £12odd’ maybe just updating.

trilbydoll · 07/12/2019 14:52

SIL has requested an ELC mini kitchen for DN, it's £49.99. Anyone got any ideas how to make it cheaper? It's in the 3 for 2 but I can't find two other things of a similar price (which obviously you have to do to make the most of it!) I don't have loads of kids to buy for that get that kind of budget Wink and my two are a bit old for elc.

Youvegotafriendinme · 07/12/2019 14:58

@ LyraSilvertongueBelacqua is this one any good? Elsa doll

Jammiebammie · 07/12/2019 15:09

@trilbydoll is this the kitchen?

GymSloth · 07/12/2019 15:16

ritzbiscuits thanks for the tip on half price Lego bags. I'd just decided that Harry Potter minifigures would be perfect for our homemade crackers but they seem to be out of stock everywhere!

If anyone notices any on their travels, please let me know!

Jammiebammie · 07/12/2019 15:54

Could anyone recommend where to get nice, long but cheap wrapping paper online? Not able to get to any shops. Preferably next day, or 2 day delivery available.

imsorryiasked · 07/12/2019 16:05

@Jammiebammie studio have lots

thaegumathteth · 07/12/2019 16:06

Just a heads up a lot of the studio paper is only 50cm wife

Lovemusic33 · 07/12/2019 16:10

I ordered paper from studio, not only is it not very wide, its not very think either and tears, it’s a shame as they have some nice designs. I find Lidl paper is the best and matalan.

imsorryiasked · 07/12/2019 16:13

Sorry I realise studio don't deliver soon enough (some of their rolls are wider and better paper, you have to sift through)

@Jammiebammie Amazon have some bit not v cheap

Thread 18 - Oh god, stop me now please
PrettyPurpleFeather · 07/12/2019 16:16

If you have large/wide or awkward present to wrap, use disposable paper table cloths in a Christmas print. They're big enough to wrap large gifts like bikes, tv's and dolls houses.
