Thank you @luckiestgirl for the title which came from her post which I’ve copied below

‘I twitched on the moles.
And the Clinique
And at body shop (30% off)
And at love honey (I got £20 off)
And I’ve somehow bought an 8 foot Christmas tree.
And lights
And a TV.
And a fitness tracker.
And stocking fillers for the kids.

Oh god, stop me now please‘

For those looking for gifts for people who enjoy cooking but don't want food , one of my best gifts this year was a candle specifically for the kitchen to eliminate odours after cooking fish, curry etc. I love it

Smelly50 · 06/12/2019 04:16

Sorry meant to say mine was a Therapy kitchen candle . But not on the high street do them and maybe Lakeland.

mammmamia · 06/12/2019 05:34

@mogtheexcellent it was me who posted the meat spike thing a few threads ago. DH got it in a secret Santa last year and we’ve used it loads.

@keeganface I had a whole saga with IWOOT a few years back with a Christmas jumper I ordered that they couldn't deliver until February and couldn't understand why that wasn't acceptable. Their customer services were truly incompetent back then, not a company I would touch with a barge pole any more.

CupoTeap · 06/12/2019 06:07

Thanks @SlipASomethingUnderThe that code for the band is just what I needed

@Ginxed Grin

Morning lovelies. I think I've finally thought of something to get my sister - The Emma Bridgwater New York Chillys bottle (she got married there). Has anyone got any idea how I can get it for any less than £25? I signed up for the EB newsletter to get 15% off but then they want £5 p&p!
I would love to find any sort of discount.
Thank you

Gilead · 06/12/2019 06:38

I’ve picked up some fab ideas from the chat and it makes it more personal and definitely more Christmassy.

imsorryiasked · 06/12/2019 06:45

@Diddledoodledoo I think Amazon is probably your best bet for the Hogwarts Lego (unless your local Asda has stock instore).
For Lego mindstorms, I'd go for Very and claim one of their £50 off for setting up a credit acct (but pay it off). Use code PAQ96 - note this is for new customers so may have to set up a different email address Wink

gaggiagirl · 06/12/2019 06:52

My DD's dad who is well meaning but infuriating said DD had asked him for the lol chalet this week and was alarmed at the price. Turned out she had asked him for the lol winter disco doll. So that was his Christmas bargain 🤣

Sorry link is from a Danish site, I'm sure it can be found in the UK too..
Its without any bad chemicals for kids

maltedm1lk · 06/12/2019 07:17

you said she is sporty why don't you get her some nice trainers. The nike zoom pegasis (these ones: www.nike.com/gb/t/zoom-pegasus-turbo-running-shoe-cSw9Bv/AJ4115-601 ) are apparently record breaking for increasing running speed she will probably love them. I'm not sure what your budget is but if not these then you could get her some nice trainers that are a bit cheaper.

Any great deals on Clinique. It's a present to ME. I've been using the samples and minis I got with the Clinique order and my skin feels amazing. So I want to get some full sized but not full price preferably Grin

TwistedAnkle · 06/12/2019 08:15

Jammiebammie · 06/12/2019 08:17

@Casablanca78 if you sign up to the newsletter at Emma bridgewater, you get sent a 15% discount which might help cover the cost of postage a bit?

Jammiebammie · 06/12/2019 08:19

Thank you @TwistedAnkle but I think the men’s Xs would still be too big for dd. Think I will maybe just get her a different colour, I’m sure she will be happy enough. Thank you again.
