Morning!

New thread for the new day. Temperature is starting to drop again and it's going to be rather chilly for the weekend and the start of December!

Let's see if we need thread 9 or not! Xmas Grin

Our cars are ice free this morning, for the first time in about a week. Saves DH a job.

DS has had a virus over the weekend, to the point where he wouldn't eat and was just laid on the couch watching TV which is very unlike him, so he was off school yesterday as well. He was fine in himself all day, so I was planning to send him back today, but then we've had a bad night. He's still asleep, so going to leave him for now and see how he is in half an hour.

There were some big cuddly toys in Asda, Fluffy 93cm llama? They had a dog, too. Might be an idea to ask on the bargain thread where they got theirs from?

I'm still waiting to book my Christmas delivery slot with Morrisons. I'm a pass holder, and I'm sure they were supposed to be released before now!!

BiddyPop · 03/12/2019 08:07

Lots of frost on cars here today. Dd could melt it all - she’s boiling so gone back to bed for 2 hours and will go into school in time for her exam later, luckily I am working from home to give myself a break today.

Only 22 days! Eek! 😬 I have soooo much to do! (Might get to post office today though...)

Mrsmadevans · 03/12/2019 08:16

Morning everyone 😀
Fluffy Wilkos had the most fabulous octopus soft toy, it was 15 quid. Will find a pic 😄

Morning, sorry all I didn’t realise this was a chatty thread and I’ve just been posting my Christmas plansBlush

fluffy I think Argos might be your best bet, they have a big range of teddies.

DS1 is off school, he’s really chesty. If he doesn’t pick up then we will go to the walk in centre and get him checked up. The salt dough decorations might have to wait.

Mrsmadevans · 03/12/2019 08:29

Not cold here, no frost on the cars unbelievable! Have a funeral to go to for Mum LTR, at Cwmbran crem , will combine it with putting flowers and a wreath for Christmas on my Bff memorial, bless her heart .
Fluffy the twitch is really innocuous it creeps up on you by stealth, you hear so much about presents and you think omg l haven't got enough for them , then you twitch and christmas morning you realise you bought too much. Especially when you have to put the stuff away 😂

WreckTangled · 03/12/2019 08:31

Ds wrote his letter to Father Christmas at school yesterday. He's asked for a dirt bike, a toy helicopter and a smiggle watch. Guess what? I've not got him any of those! 🤦🏽‍♀️

FireflyGirl · 03/12/2019 08:40

Wreck DS was adamant he wanted a Spiderman blaster. Someone asked him at the weekend, and he said a robot!! It's always a juggling act!

Mrsmadevans · 03/12/2019 08:43

Hope all the DC are much better soon bless them 🤗🌟
Wreck they are only things , they don't mean anything don't feel bad 🤗 you are a wonderful Mum to your DC , you can see it in everything you say here, they are such lucky Children to have you 💐

Mrsmadevans · 03/12/2019 08:46

I remember Dd1 wanting Barbie everything and 2 weeks before Christmas after l bought it all it was horses 😂

Am laughing at what you said Fanny no need for the coat 😂😂😂
How very dare your parents confirm to stereotypical gender toys Fanny 😁
In their defense they probably thought it was a whim 🤗

I'm happy now - I've got my Christmas food delivery booked for Monday 23rd, which is when I wanted it. Pretty sure that I didn't get it earlier than non-pass holders though!!

JoGose · 03/12/2019 10:19

I always asked for a pink kids motorbike and never got it. I don’t know why, I’ve asked my mom and she’s said she doesn’t Know why they didn’t get me one.

I’m getting all my Christmas shopping today, I only buy second hand as it saves money so am eBaying it.

FireflyGirl · 03/12/2019 10:39

Jo nothing wrong with second hand as long as it's what they want/good quality. DS has loads of second hand toys, including stuff we've given him for birthdays/Christmas. Some of it looked brand new!

Mrsmadevans · 03/12/2019 10:47

Oh God those Karcher pressure washers are addictive Fanny 😂 bought DH one and My parents had to have a new roof for their lean to, aka 'the conservatory' 😂😂😂
Nothing wrong with second hand anything in my book Jo 🤗
Firefly girl thank God you got THE SWEET SLOT 😁

WreckTangled · 03/12/2019 10:55

I'm hoping ds will be so pleased with what he gets he won't think about what he hasn't got. He asks for a dirt bike every year and I always say I'm told Father Christmas he isn't allowed one Grin

NerosFiddle · 03/12/2019 12:09

Afternoon all.

I'm lucky that my dc can still be convinced into what they "want" Xmas Grin

I'm going to make some sausage rolls so I can freeze them for Christmas Eve.

JoGose · 03/12/2019 12:18

Exactly my thoughts firefly they’re all too young to really notice the difference between second hand and brand new anyway.

mrs it saves money and helps the environment so a win win in my booksGrin

DS1 is still chesty with a high temp so I will give him until tonight and then try and get a doctors appointment in the morning. I despise winter bugs, my lot only have to be within 50 miles of one and they’ve got it.

NoWordForFluffy · 03/12/2019 13:12

Afternoon!

Well done on the delivery slot, Firefly! I just went to check Sainsbury’s for a very late slot on 23rd but none available. I'll just go very early on Christmas Eve, on my way to Booths.

I've got DS some second hand Imaginext characters which he'll love and know no different!

Brilliant joke earlier, flouncy! 🐙

I bought the attached bear. I'm hoping it arrives in time as it's currently OoS, due to be delivered on time though. He's 43cm tall, so just right!

I love a pressure washer. I do our paving at least once a year. 😁
