Morning!

New thread for the new day. Temperature is starting to drop again and it's going to be rather chilly for the weekend and the start of December!

Let's see if we need thread 9 or not!

We've got our lights in the window fluffy and dd's eraser nativity set from her stationery advent calendar last year

Mrs I love nutcrackers too but I'm terrified o clowns.

Has anyone watched murder, mystery and my family? It's on bbc and breakfast. I don't think it's appropriate for morning viewing but I love watching it at night.

Is that the one where they investigate historical murder convictions? I've watched the first series on iPlayer. I enjoyed it, but as much to see what the difference is between the legal system then and now.

We have a couple of decorations up so far. I had holidays left to take so I've got Friday off and I'm going to declutter and Clean then put the proper decorations up at the weekend.

And I can't stop you with the trees. We have 2 because that's 1 more than DH wants and it's his absolute limit but my parents used to have 6 in our old house (garden, living room, hallway, kitchen, landing and a mini one in the bathroom)

Wreck you are being so sensible with your decs. I'm putting up our twiggy tree but I'm going to channel your approach when I do mine because I always go OTT.

Weigh in went well - 2 weeks in and I've lost half a stone!! I'm so pleased because it's been quite easy so far

Currently eating Greek style yogurt with honey and strawberries and feeling very happy and cosy (my dm gifted me a woodwick candle yesterday which crackles and smells lovely).

Thought I'd also share - my niece (she's almost 18 months) saw my parents house decorated yesterday. It's the first one she's seen and she was so awestruck by it. She walked in, gasped then went to each ornament one by one asking "was tha?" (translates as 'what's that?) before plonking herself in front of the tree whispering gibberish to herself then turning around and squealing at us whenever the light sequence changed .
I know it's not a major thing but it all made her so happy it was really really sweet to watch.

Which market are you going to, Jo? We went to the one on South Bank in London, but it was all food and drink, and nothing very German. I was very , but then we had more cocktails and I got over it!

I've wiped my bum on The Snowman, so it's definitely Christmas here!

I've also finished Snowman 1. The next will be easier as there's no sky to do!

I'm working on my tree topper - I was hoping to finish it today but I couldn't get a particular type of trim that I need so I need to try a different shop tomorrow. The tree can't go up until I finish it

Last weekend, Wreck so not all of the lights were up. I loved the angels down Regent Street though❤️

The one in brum firefly, we go every year. It’s hectic in the evenings and everyone gets rowdy but in the daytime it is nice and Christmassy. We will go ice skating too❄️⛸

I think I've got a chilblain on my toe 😭 I always suffer with them in winter, I had one on the ball of my foot last year.

Woolly the knitting is great, she is fab at it but like Crazy says the matching is just horrendous lol. I daren't say anything to her, l have tried to suggest matching different ones with each other but nope she will not have it

Woolly, Mum knits them together , k1 p1 they get too heavy for her though and her shoulders ache . Hope you get the trim you need
I love Nutcrackers Nero, ever since l did a Christmas concert when l was little in school. We dressed up as Nutcracker toys and they played the Nutcracker suite. It was wonderful. I can still remember it now
Am recording the Murder series on the Beeb . God knows when l will see it but l did see the first series like Firefly Girl and it was excellent.

Morning! I don't think it's as cold today, but I've not been outside to check yet. Soon!

I'm a bit too ready for Christmas now. It leaves me open to / ripe for twitching!

There is one more thing I'm getting for DS as I discovered a present for DD in my wardrobe which wasn't in the count. I need a big, but bargain, cuddly toy of some description. Any ideas (not enormous, just big!)?

It's frosty here and cars are frozen 🥶
