The sun is not on the ground yet, as there is a "lip" of cloud still, but it is a sunny sky and there is no rain!! Hopefully that means this weather is pushing eastwards towards the UK.
DD was like a bag of rats this morning - she needs her holidays!! But she has gone into school and will get the train into town to my office once they are released at 11:45 (definitely not 12!! She's reminded DH and I of that numerous times!!). DSis was slightly grumpy last night - her Head emailed the parents yesterday at 11am to say 3 years had no school today, 1 was finishing an hour early and 2 years had to do an extra hour (to finish exams!!) - all for today. Ridiculously short notice, and as the school depends on buses for a lot of the students, impossible to organise!! And as 1st years are one of those not going in, I wonder how many people were in a panic about childcare last night (I know, at 12-13 lots of girls are fine (DD had been doing it for a couple of years), but there are also lots of girls who haven't yet done the independence thing, don't have a house key, get dropped to school on the work commute, aren't used to making themselves a hot snack or being alone at home …..and need the reassurance of talking it through before being dropped in it like that).
Today, I'm trying to clear the desk before DD arrives at lunchtime - doing her shopping for the afternoon, then meeting DH to get dinner out somewhere on our way to the rugby match. Tree will go up tomorrow, and no other specific plans for the weekend (although some shopping for tasty snacks and a turkey are required, and dropping off a few things to giving tree collection and back to the storage unit as well).
MrsMad, I hope you enjoyed (if that's the right word) catching up with your DSN and spewing about DSis. I am sure DSN appreciates your support.
Wreck, good luck with the tidying.
JoGoose, that picture mad me laugh!! I'm also loving all the tales of fridge and freezer tetris (feeling very guilty m'ladies, also can't squeeze a fish finger into the freezer despite my attempts to empty it!! - where will all my leftovers go?!). There's space in the fridge for some cheese though, and DH and DD will drink lots of milk so I will have room for a turkey....I'm almost sure....

Hi to everyone I've missed...desk tetris is calling me (towers of papers threatening to topple...)
