Morning!

New thread for the new day. Temperature is starting to drop again and it's going to be rather chilly for the weekend and the start of December!

Let's see if we need thread 9 or not! Xmas Grin

I hope it isn’t the noro too. 3 schools near me where closed for a deep clean last week. I’d rather not pass it on to the kids either.

mrs enjoy your day off! I’d just pig out and watch Christmas films

Enjoy your day fluffy, minus the coldGrin

wreck I don’t blame you, the weather is awful here. I’d rather not drag the little two out to do the school run but hey ho.

wreck I’m glad all went well. Hope you enjoyed your Maccies.

flouncy it is pretty, but it’s annoying when someone buys you something you won’t wear. My DGM always buys bracelets and I’m not a bracelet person. I like rings and necklaces but bracelets just don’t work for me (I have very tiny wrists so they just hang off me). I always feel so ungrateful!.

I keep thinking it’s Wednesday, I wish it was.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 17/12/2019 17:15

Lunch was lovely. I had crab and chorizo spaghetti and a large glass of Pinot. I'm still stuffed though as I don't eat a large lunch normally!

Nero, I hope you just stayed warm and dry indoors.

It's warmer here now, thankfully. Earlier on was so cold!

Wreck, it sounds like you're getting somewhere, which is good. Is he still suffering?

Flouncy, that's a lovely bracelet. Has your DH gone soppy?!

Mrs, it sounds like you enjoyed your day off!

WreckTangled · 17/12/2019 18:30

Yes fluffy. Well he has flare ups, on Saturday he was sobbing in pain and couldn't stand up straight. Prior to that he had been fine for a few weeks. Your lunch sounds great, I'm the same after a big lunch, would just want a nap!

JoGose · 17/12/2019 19:29

Glad you had a good day mrs, and got most of what you need!

fluffy lunch sounds delish!!

Wreck, ahh your poor Ds, thank goodness you have been seen by the Cons now , hopefully he will be fine over Christmas, it is so upsetting for you, when they are crying in pain Bless Flowers
Jo, l shivered when l saw you have bought swimming cossies Xmas Grin

CrazyBaubles · 17/12/2019 20:29

Flouncy that bracelet is lovely.
Also, I would love a Lurpack toast rack to match my Lurpack butter dish

Jo fingers crossed you're feeling better.

Fluffy your lunch sounded lovely.

Wreck how baffling - they really have no idea what's going on to cause so much pain?

MrsMad it's bitter isn't it? I've been to visit friends in Blaenavon and my car froze over while it was parked outside 😱

Just home now. I have sewing to do, I'm hoping to finish both cushions for my friends tonight (doubt I'll manage it though).
On the plus side, I've had my hair cut today too (took about 5 inches off) and it feels all light and lovely 😊

WreckTangled · 17/12/2019 20:37

Crazy I had five inches off my hair Monday too! They really don't know. His bloods were unremarkable and he's clinically well (92nd centile for height! 75th for weight).

I'm watching supervet. The practice isn't far from here and someone I went to school with works there.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 17/12/2019 20:38

Wreck, does pooing relieve the pain? My IBS sometimes wakes me at night, but - TMI - having a poo helps it.

I hope it's sorted soon, poor boy. Xmas Sad

WreckTangled · 17/12/2019 20:48

It didn't on Saturday but usually it helps, or it's wind. This time he had pain, had a normal poo then was in so much pain he couldn't stand and cried all the way home (40 minutes) but then felt better after a lie down. It's just horrible for him.

Mrsmadevans · 17/12/2019 20:53

Crazy l am not a bit surprised your car froze over in Blaenavon, it is so high up it is like another world in the Winter Smile
Great going with the crafting, well done on getting your hair cut too , great that you love it too Xmas Grin !

FireflyGirl · 17/12/2019 21:38

My car iced over in the 2 hours between getting home from collecting DS and going back out at 6!!

Beautiful sunset tonight, but now there's freezing fog!

Your poor DS, Wreck!

I’m awake with awful trapped wind. I think it’s all just from my crap Christmas eating.

mrs ooh I love lindt chocolate! We only have Cadbury advent calendars here (I get to eat DS2’s chocolatesGrin). I hope you’ve warmed up now.

wreck I’m so sorry he’s in that much painFlowers it’s awful when something’s wrong but they don’t know what it is.

firefly gorgeous sunset!

We had heavy fog tonight. It has made it a bit warmer though thankfully. Right I best get off, school run in the morning (although I do feel like giving up, I hate the last week of school as they do nothing and are all drained).

Yes, I can confirm that it's cold and icy. I slipped a bit on my walk, so walked on the road for a bit instead (my area has little square slabs which are particular to where I live and they're lethal in cold weather!).

Flouncy, he's obviously happy you're feeling it this year! Which is lovely!

Crazy, when do you finish work? When do you go away? Are you driving up or flying / public transport? Did you manage to sort food plans out?

Wreck if it's intermittent it can't be something he eats regularly, I'd have thought. Have they mooted any ideas, bearing in mind the bloods didn't show gluten intolerance? FWIW, my IBS comes and goes and there don't seem to be any specific triggers overly. DH got a jar of salsa-type sauce which he cooked with which absolutely tipped me over the edge, it was awful. Something at lunch didn't agree with me either.

I hope you get to the bottom of it quickly as it's horrible for him.

WreckTangled · 18/12/2019 07:39

My phone says 3° but cars look frozen.

I kept a foot and symptom diary for a month but there was nothing there. I think it's going to end up as IBS, like you fluffy, as there's nothing specific really. She doesn't think it's dairy but could be a gluten intolerance rather than coeliacs. We need to do a month dairy free and a month gluten free whilst doing the diary and see if it makes a difference but I'm going to wait until the sample has come back because if it's positive then there's no point really.

Fairly busy at work today. It's DH's birthday too.

Mrsmadevans · 18/12/2019 07:49

Morning everyone 😀
Wreck my Mum has IBS , really well controlled with Mebeverine thankfully. She has difficulty with legumes , food with pips in and onions. Hope you find out soon 💐

Mrsmadevans · 18/12/2019 08:02
