Morning!

New thread for the new day. Temperature is starting to drop again and it's going to be rather chilly for the weekend and the start of December!

Let's see if we need thread 9 or not!

Biddy, I have 5 things left to wrap. I'll do them on CE if I don't do it before as I don't mind 5!

Our school does cards but they're extortionate so mine don't take part. I've just had to pay £20 for their theatre trip Thursday 💸💸 the school PTA raises enough without me also buying cards (over £10k last year and there's only 50 children in the school)

Biddy I would lobe to be in Brussels! For fun rather than work though

I have a few things to wrap still but I also have three loads of washing to fold. I know what I would prefer to do but also know which should be prioritised...

I bought some Christmas shopping last week, and got all the niceties. I’ve managed to eat them all when the kids are asleep.

Ill have cleared off the spare bed before any visitors arrive - it’s currently covered in bags of unwrapped presents !!

Wreck, that's exactly it: loads of expensive stuff all the time. It's crazy how often we have to give money. We do a photo calendar for the grandparents and a few others, we don't need the school's input! I dread logging into Parent Pay sometimes!

I had to do some juggling as my suitcase bag was overweight, so my laptop backpack is killing my shoulders but the case is in the hold so cheese is safe 🥳 plane delayed but boarding now and I have Greys Anatomy downloaded to watch!! 😃

Don't be too impressed with my wrapping. I don't have many to actually wrap. We don't wrap dc presents and then the others were things like perfume/aftershave.

Ff my dh is hell for doing that. We set an amount every year of about £20 to get something small, just so we've something to open but he always goes overboard which means I have to too.

Dc went to see Santa this afternoon and they were ok when there was a bit of a distance between them and Santa but when they went up close they were a bit afraid.

Ds has his hospital appointment tomorrow. I'm impressed by how quickly it's come through really I thought it would be months.

I was pleased with the strictly result too but I'm still annoyed about Dev leaving so soon

On Saturday we put the tree up, (pre-lit fake) with two extra strings of clear white lights . Very pretty . No baubles due to The Cats .
DD and I watched "Lost Christmas" ( Eddie Izzard film and one of our traditions)

Today (Monday) we took it down again because our female cat (the Villainess of the House) kept chewing the wires and the bulbs.

Much as I love a tree our lovely cat has to take priority here ( though her brother never glanced at it) .

So , we have A Space . (But Nature Abhors A Vacuum so something will go there

Female Cat has declared she doesn't believe in Christmas so I'm not holding my breath for a present from her !

Pity bout the tree but nevermind 💐, one year our old cat Spike, used to climb to the top of the tree every day and bought it down , l had to give in , the next year he was good as gold, so perhaps next year 😄

It's been snowing in Aviemore. I hope it stays until the weekend so the kids get to see it!

Busy day today: off to see a client then it's our team lunch.

I feel awful today with a bad upset stomach. But I’ve got to power through!. I have a lot to sort out this week, so no time to rest. It’s really foggy here, still bitterly cold and we’re forecast rain for the foreseeable. I hope it doesn’t rain on Christmas Eve because we love to go for a walk before bed. We’ll still go, but I’d much prefer to be dry.
