Morning!

New thread for the new day. Temperature is starting to drop again and it's going to be rather chilly for the weekend and the start of December!

Let's see if we need thread 9 or not!

70 I wasn't fussed on Capaldi either. But David Tennant will always be my doctor. Season 4 was the ultimate series for me with Catherine Tate. Nothing has lived up to it since.

We had Dd's party today and it was lovely. I'm stuffed on kids party food. I don't think I'll be able to move for the rest of the day.

We stopped watching Dr Who after Matt Smith; there's nothing that makes me want to watch it now!

Also found a jellycat I haven't seen before today. This cute little mole!

My bff and I always call him ten inch I had to think for a second what his actual name was 😂

Busy few days, DS's second nativity performance, then my works do, then out round Leeds yesterday with my family, then today was DS's Rugby Tots Christmas session this morning, then we went to a local grotto which was Star Wars more for DH than DS, then to the pound shop for him to get presents for everyone, then home for lunch and tidying the bedrooms (which were really bad, they never usually get like that, but there's just nowhere to put stuff that isn't already full of Christmas detritus!). I don't have to hopscotch to get into bed now! Oh, and the greenhouse roof blew in (only polycarbonate, thankfully) and two panels of the back fence blew down in the winds we've been having, so we've had to fix what we can and see if we can get a new fence panel and post delivered before Christmas. Phew, no wonder I'm shattered!!

Just FYI, in case you want to copy his ideas, DS's presents for the family are as follows:-

Nana - box of Haribo Starmix (was actually £2, but she's worth it )
Grandad - pink extendable fluffy microfibre duster
Grandma - neon green neck pillow
Daddy - light up Christmas balloons
Cousin - pink bath finger paint
Aunt and Uncle - a string of gold beads (the ones that go around the Christmas tree) - to share.

It did also depend where we were in the shop at the time...

We had a great day. It’s was blooming freezing, but they had some rides and some food stalls. Then we popped to my nans as every year she throws a party for Christmas.

I’m not a huge Dr Who fan but I did love David Tennant when he was in it.

Busy week this week. The DC have the flu vaccinations on Wednesday and then Thursday is school Christmas dinner day.

The weather sounds dire from in here. Really windy. I hope it's not wet too.

Only 4 days then I'm done. But...it's a bloody busy 4 days. Loads to do!

Firefly, I love those gifts; so cute! We've had awful winds too, 40-50mph a few times in the last few weeks.

Right, I need to shower!

I've written my cards to post home this morning. And ordered the postage online, which I'll print at work. We've a post box just outside, so I'll whizz them down to that straight away so they're done!

Four days left for me too fluffy! Ds was up in the night with a croupy cough. He's fine otherwise though so is going to school.

Whoop whoop! In the final countdown now!

We are sooooo busy this week, though. Poor DS is shattered already, goodness knows what he'll be like by next Monday!

I did all my wrapping last night, so I can deliver some today. I might have a couple of cards too. I've written and sent mine but I think dh might have a few.

Dc are going to see Santa this afternoon. It's in ds's crèche, so I've had to buy and wrap a present for dd so she wouldn't be left out.

God 9 days! I’m all prepared now I think. I’m doing my last food shop on Thursday and will get the stuff for our Christmas Eve box then. But then we are done!. It seems to have come around so quick this year.

fluffy not long now! Power through. The kids’ school makes their Christmas cards. You have to pay for them, but they print them out and you can get as many as you want. So that’s what we’ve done this year.

neros well done you! I’ve still got to wrap!. I usually end up panic wrapping on Christmas Eve. This year my DM and DGM are staying over though, so they can distract the kids whilst I do it. I hope the kids enjoy Santa, you’ve reminded me that we haven’t done that this year. Will have to see where he is.

We’ve just come back from playgroup, the last one until January. It’s absolutely bitter outside, and inside. I’m in complete panic mode now, I know there’s things I’ve forgot😂. Oh well!. Enjoy your day everyone

I’m in Brussels today. I did manage the cards last night, and bought my cheese. I didn’t do the Christmas market as I was tired, but I have enjoyed it other years so not feeling that I missed out. I met a colleague earlier who is taking 1 cheese as she definitely has a checked bag on the plane later in the week - I’m going to try and check my bag tonight, and if not attempt to get the cheese through security (about half the time, they claim It’s a “liquid/gel/paste” as it’s a soft cheese) - it’s one DDad used to get on his trips and hasn’t had for years so I’m hoping to surprise him!!

I’m loving seeing all the progress towards being “done” - well done to everyone who is almost there....not at all

Oh, I'm not paying school for anything else, hell no! I'm not sure they do cards anyway (DH would bin shit like that without showing me!).
