New thread for the new day. Temperature is starting to drop again and it's going to be rather chilly for the weekend and the start of December!

Let's see if we need thread 9 or not!

I voted. Was the only one in there (the benefits of being rural). Dd asked questions, ds held my hand. Dd told the people working there that New Zealand was the first country to give women the vote. It was all very lovely

I voted at 7am. We have postal votes so I dropped both in (we were waiting for the tactical sites to align, then it was too late to post).

Mrs, not much more annoying than dodgy internet! I hope it stays fixed.

I saw 4 other voters. 3 of us were carrying postal votes!

I voted this morning, it was really busy.

I can’t believe it’s less than a fortnight. I definitely don’t feel prepared at all. I’m doing the food shopping soon and then the stuff for the Christmas Eve boxes. I should be done then but I always find I remember something on Christmas Eve and have to run to the shops.

It’s showering here, and is meant to rain for the foreseeable. So it’s a duvet day and Christmas films.

Have been so busy today it just isn't true, my legs are aching from doing so much work . l am nesh l know mainly card delivering , grave decorating, delivering presents and seeing to Mum
Mum is fine today thankfully
We haven't long come home and have been freezing here. I don't know why l am so cold think l may be tired and hungry, going to have a nice bowl of soup in a bit that will warm me up

Was out doing a bit of election stuff first thing this morning, then got to go vote myself. Took dd to her class then my best friend was over from Scotland so I got to have a bit of a catch up this afternoon.

mrs I’m glad your mum is okay. Definitely get your thermals on, I get mine on for the school run.

flouncy I’m glad it’s only the Pom-poms that got nibbled.

We had a lovely day today. We watched stick man which we’ve never watched before and the kids loved it.

I've voted. Bit pointless, it's been the same toerag candidate for aeons and even tactical voting won't shift him.

Despite the fact that he never even shows his face in the constituency!!

Last nativity this afternoon. DS is exhausted, bless him. He's still got over a week of school left, but he's really struggling.

I've ordered him one of the NSPCC letters from Santa; hopefully that'll cheer him up a bit.

When does your DS finish? We're finishing at 2pm next Thursday. Our two are exhausted too. All of DS' year group looked pale and wan during their nativity!

It's always been an island of red in a sea of blue, Fluffy. Depends how many of them believe the tabloids - looking at you, DDad... disillusioned they are with Labour. It's one of the highest levels of poverty in the country, and was overwhelmingly pro-Brexit.

Local papers are saying in their mini-poll it's an even split between Conservatives and Brexit party I guess we'll see.

DS finishes next Friday, so still over a week to go. They finish at 3.30 as normal, as well. Poor things, they might be the only children in the country still at school by that point! I took some holiday days, so I finish next Friday as well, can't wait!

flouncy DParents have a Springer who is terrible for stealing/chewing dangly things. He had the pompoms off DSis's similar-sounding slippers - he used to follow her around literally snapping at her heels trying to get them!

He's very arthritic now, but still steals things. He just can't get away as fast...

mrs the gruffalo is a huge hit here and the highway rat but since watching stickman it’s definitely my favourite. It was just a lovely heartwarming film. I’m glad you’ve warmed up, I’ve had the hair dryer under my duvet to warm me up.

Firefly , you have made me laugh at the antics of the elderly Springer , we had a Springer spaniel she was amazing but so active you couldn't leave her alone for a minute .

I've only had 4 hours' sleep. It's going to be a loooooooooooong old day!

I've not really got much to say today, it has to be said.

I woke up early so decided to read my kindle rather than get up and disturb DH. This gave me 15 blissful minutes of escapism before the radio news.

DS finishes today. Send I'll have a bored almost teenager by Sunday afternoon. I wonder if he'd like me to teach him to knit...
