Morning!

New thread for the new day. Temperature is starting to drop again and it's going to be rather chilly for the weekend and the start of December!

Let's see if we need thread 9 or not!

Another busy week chez Biddy, but we're starting to slow down slightly. DH actually said, quite seriously, that he knows we need to!! So that's progress!! He and DD went down to visit DMIL on Saturday after DD's match and got back late yesterday afternoon - DH was well fed by DMILs sunday roast but DD refuses to eat roast dinners so was starving (there was plenty that she could eat, she got stubborn so so did DH) - so I had to change my planned dinner to make something light enough for DH but substantial enough for DD (and me!!). And my own plans for a quiet couple of days to cook and clean and watch Christmas movies were changed as DB called to say he was moving house, could I help pack vans for Sunday - he did feed me a roast dinner in recompense, but I was quite hungry in the evening as well, it's amazing how much stuff they had crammed into a 2 bed house!! I did manage to batch cook a lassagna for tonight and a few for the freezer, made turkey stock (local deli was selling packs of wings for €2.50) and cooked myself a nice lamb shank dinner Saturday, but no chicken curry for the freezer or mince pies or cookies, and no clearing out of the guest bedroom (it was nice the whole 5 days it was clean!!).

All the presents for DH's side of the extended family went with him on Saturday, wrapped and all. And I think I have almost all the rest I need - except for DH (no idea!), DB and DSIL (KK, and I know what I am getting on Thursday), DM (no idea yet) and DUncle (need to post him something - another tricky customer!). And I need to post the package (under my desk) to DB overseas (last posting day WAS Friday, but I reckon today will be fine as they are not in the depths of the jungle but a modern city, just transatlantic!).

They pay travel but not parking.

Still here, still not don't anything although been called twice so far. Once they sent three of us away and second time they pleaded guilty last minute.

Third one also pleaded guilty last minute so that's it I'm done and dusted. But disappointed but pleased it's over. The room was too hot and my hips hurt from sitting all day

Dd got 95% in her piano exam so go a distinction

Crazy Don't beat yourself up about your decorations. They really don't matter in the scheme of things.

Snowmen and Snowdogs are framed. Yay! Gift wrapping will take place another day. I'm tired now.

Done for good. Back to work tomorrow. DH doesn't get why I'm a but disappointed

I've finished putting up my tree, baked a cake and buns for tomorrow's baking competition, and ironed my dress for the Christmas jumper/outfit competition.

I wish I could show you a photo of our office - it's honestly like a grotto, with those foil decorations on the ceiling, tinsel on everything, 3 trees in a 10ft square space, and the piece de resistance - a tinsel curtain to walk through to get anywhere! And most of it wasn't even me!

This week's job is icing 2 Christmas cakes. I like baking but can't get motivated for the creative stuff.

We're going to have wet and very windy weather today. Yay!

We barely have any Christmas stuff due to the move, Firefly. I imagine it'll start popping up though. 🎄🎄🎄 Your office sounds ace!

I hope the kids like the cross stitches now.

We put the big cross stitch around its backing board and into the frame last night. It'll prevent it from getting creased until I see it onto the board! It looks amazing even though it's not done properly yet!

Mrs, how was your mum yesterday? Your sister really is a pain in the arse (and it's all about inheritance, mark my words).

Good morning all! Congratulations to your DD Wrecked and amazing cross stitch. Our tree is finally up (after accidentally buying a monster tree from ikea that broke the pot).
DH keeps muttering about the boxes of decorations and Christmas crockery emerging from the loft so I am now sneaking boxes up and down when he is out.
On the negative side the element in our oven has gone- fingers crossed it is an easy and quick repair!

I'm going back to work today. No one would have known if I'd just taken the two weeks off but I couldn't do that

Wreck, I'd go back to work too. Too much to do to languish round (though I might have taken one extra day!).

Fluffy I've finished all my work because I had to make sure I had before I left. Plus schools don't want you visiting this time of year as they're so busy. Not sure what I'm going to do tbh!
