Thank you @Barbarara for the title!

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

tentative3 I second Shirley Hughes. Oliver Jeffers does lovely ones too. The Jolly Postman and the Jolly Christmas Postman are great. I've also bought a Winnie the Pooh book with things to do before you're 5 and 3/4.

This is a bit random but I've only just realised the Amazon app has Smile now. For anyone who doesn't know, you can choose a charity (from a list of pretty much every one imaginable) and get donations made to it every time you buy through them.

margaritasbythesea · 15/11/2019 23:28

mogtheexcellent thanks for that. Pants. I thought they were a great idea.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 15/11/2019 23:29

tentative the tiger who came to tea, mog the cat, kipper were all classic favourites for my daughter's. especially as we had the cuddly toys of each character! plus winnie the witch :) Peter rabbit and Winnie the pooh would be suitable for the 5 year old I'm sure.

thaegumathteth · 15/11/2019 23:45

@tentative3
My daughter loved the Beatrix Potter books. Also Julia Donaldson, an anthology of short stories and mog books

Can I recommend the hairy McLairy books for little ones?

Fun to read out too. Schnitzel Von crumb with the very low tum is a personal favourite.

noodledoodler · 16/11/2019 00:46

Yes!!! HairyMcClairy from Donaldson's Dairy and lets not forget his comrade Slinki Malinki that proliferous thief. Book people do a 10 pack of hairy and friends, super value and should you buy them it'll be a close call as to who will be word perfect on all the contents first, parent or kid.

Trumpton · 16/11/2019 05:29

I used the bottom right M&S code . The one ending HDPL .
Thank you @BrownOwlsShinyToadstool

Worrywart21 · 16/11/2019 07:03

@RevealTheHiddenBeach

What was the price of the deal? It’s currently £199? Is that a deal?

My 3 year old seen this advertised and asked for it so thought I’d pop into the link and if it was reasonable I’d buy it but Shock £200 that’s unbelievable

princessbear80 · 16/11/2019 07:12

Thanks for repeating the sheepskin liner code! Just ordered.

I’ve seen Hatchimals mentioned a few times. This Hatimals game is half price on Amazon deals of the day.

imsorryiasked · 16/11/2019 07:20

@Worrywart21 I think it went down to about £160. Still at least £100 more than I'd want to spend on it Hmm

LikeSilver · 16/11/2019 07:21

@tentative3 I often buy ‘Oh! The Places You’ll Go’ by Dr Seuss as a book to treasure and keep because it’s so lovely. And Shel Silverstein’s ‘The Giving Tree’ 😭

I have a copy of ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ someone got me as a child.

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 16/11/2019 07:25

Just bought this sterling silver plated lariat necklace for £3.40 - free delivery. Thought it was worth a punt at that price!

It's currently on an Amazon lightening deal BUT DON'T CHOOSE THAT OPTION. Instead, select the regular price (comes up less than the Amazon deal!!) and then click on the 30% off promotion, which seemed to remove delivery costs too

Thread 13 - I do not need a baby for Christmas! I do not need a baby for Christmas!
imsorryiasked · 16/11/2019 07:25

With all the thread bumps and babies I just thought I'd mention the cosatto sale. Huge reductions on buggies /car seats / buggy muffler etc

recklessgran · 16/11/2019 07:36

I'll be AWOL today. Off to the Festive gift fair at NEC. Excited. Will be spendy.

ritzbiscuits · 16/11/2019 07:36

@tentative3 I would second Jolly Postman. We have both and prefer the Christmas one. My 6 yo makes me read in year round!

imsorryiasked · 16/11/2019 07:43

Have just discovered ebuddy on Amazon - they do dolls clothes to fit popular models (including fingerlings!) Such as a harry potter school uniform for American girl dolls. Seen to have good reviews.

CosmicVagina · 16/11/2019 07:57

I just used the Celtic and Co code 4 times to order insoles for all the family

BigmouseLittlehouse · 16/11/2019 07:58

@LikeSilver I still can’t read the velveteen rabbitSmile

@tentative3 ‘ oh the places you’ll go’ is definitley a book to keep, although they won’t really read it until older. My DS was given it by his childcarer when she left and it made me cry!

For Christmas book I’d agree ‘the jolly postman Christmas’ is really loved by my two - my DS at 7 still enjoys it. Because of all the little bits it also seems a bit more of a ‘special’ book? There are also the child specific wonderbly books depending how much you want to spend? I don’t love them but have to admit my kids do - the ones for younger ones I actually think are a bit nicer ( my youngest loved ‘a letter for the littlest bear’).

Spam88 · 16/11/2019 08:06

Lots of Sandisk micro USBs are half price on amazon if anyone's after any! Some of them you have to buy at least two though.

Spam88 · 16/11/2019 08:07

Micro SDs I mean, not USBs.

Ewock · 16/11/2019 08:12

Thanks to pp on advice for TMNTs.
Can anyone recommend car dvd player for my dc? We've got several log journeys next yr and a regular 3hr each way one after xmad, so thought these might help. I'm not sure where to go or even if its worth it. Thanks

Ewock · 16/11/2019 08:13

Long journeys not log!

Gustavo1 · 16/11/2019 08:16

Just bought myself some gorgeous boots from monsoon with the above code. £99 down to £67! Free delivery too.
Didn’t really need boots, but don’t own any that pretty Blush
