Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

@Mammyofonlyone @Lc2006 my DS is 9 and used it in a club recently so has an idea already. He does coding at school too.

I think a scientific 6 year old would be OK (might need help with building though). Or to do as thing to do together.

SheStoodInTheStorm · 07/11/2019 14:19

Has anyone else not had the little wooden Christmas tree from amazon arrive?

I saw some people had theirs but I don't think mine is coming Sad

Mammyofonlyone · 07/11/2019 14:22

@batbear thank you. I've just had a quick look at google and you can get them from the US on eBay for about £40-50 plus tax but I have no idea how much tax is???

Theimpossiblegirl · 07/11/2019 14:24

My little tree only came yesterday.

PinkJam · 07/11/2019 14:25

Bobbi Brown have an online exclusive of 5 free minis of your choice when you spend £55 or more. Handy if you are already wanting or needing to order from them.

girlsyearapart · 07/11/2019 14:26

Asda the big tubs of chocolate- think celebrations for £4
Tesco have chocolate tubes selection boxes and advent calendars all on offer too

Ds wants a PS4 with Fifa20 for his very early December birthday.
Anyone know if it’s worth waiting for Black Friday ?

PinkJam · 07/11/2019 14:27

@BumpkinSpiceBatty Can you remember whereabouts the £10 off voucher was in The White Company brochure please? I have had one come through but can only see the 15% off code. Thanks Smile

Jedstre · 07/11/2019 14:30

My little Christmas tree from Amazon hasn’t arrived yet either @SheStoodInTheStorm

I’m also looking for wireless AirPod type headphones around £50 mark

username2020 · 07/11/2019 14:35

I've decided I want to get DD some lip gloss and perfume and some hair accessories. These are really the only things beauty wise that she's into atm (she's still only 11) so any suggestions on brands and deals would be appreciated.

Will check out the RI candle deal, that could help with the MIL gift

DreamingofSunshine · 07/11/2019 14:38

@PinkDaydreams if you are still looking for a posting game, my local large poundland has a wooden postbox toy for £5. I think jojo maman bebe has one too.

neddle · 07/11/2019 14:39

There’s some lovely Christmas jumpers here, would be perfect for the Christmas jumper day at school.
They’re £12 which seems quite reasonable.

Nor mine @SheStoodInTheStorm.

Apologies if these have already been posted:

Shine gets 10% off and graham and greene ( although not sure with their prices that makes anything bargainous!)

Magic19 gets free delivery at polarn o pyret.

IggyAce · 07/11/2019 14:41

@username2020 Next do perfume sets for children, my dd also likes their just pink perfume.
My dd and all her friends love the So bodysprays they are in a pump bottle Candy-floss and Ibiza something are favourites. Body care sell them for about £2.80.

neddle · 07/11/2019 14:42

I just got this rosette made for my daughter’s birthday. There don’t seem to be any Christmas rosettes, but there is bunting.
Might be useful for anyone else with birthdays before Christmas.
They’re on Etsy here

Rosette was £8

@DreamingofSunshine thank you! I’ll hotfoot it to pound land this weekend. Love this thread as everyone is so helpful!

neddle · 07/11/2019 14:45

I saw a code for 50 free prints at Boots photo, just pay shipping.
I was a new customer, so automatically got 25 free as well.
So 75 free prints for £1-49 postage.
Code is 50FREEPC19

username2020 · 07/11/2019 14:53

the body shop code above isn't working for anything?

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 07/11/2019 14:56

Sorry if this has already been posted, 20% off toys (TOYS20) at Argos is stacking with 2 for £20 offer so comes down to £16 Halloween Grin

wibdib · 07/11/2019 14:59

Thanks for the new thread Reastie (auto correct has just tried to turn you into Beastie - glad I caught that one!).

Catching up on the end of the last thread and this one, several things to add so hope I get everything...

washi tape
Check out eBay.com rather than eBay.co.uk - loads of stuff that is cheap from the Far East - stuff that would be 99p for a roll is 99 cents instead - if you’re lucky it’s two or thee pounds for sets of 10 rolls.
This also works for lots of the cheap cute stationery, memo pads, sticky notes, rulers etc. Check out Kawaii pen/pad etc for specifics.

photo gifts
Wowcher and groupon are good sources of cheap photo gifts. The photo tiles can be got for £6 each postage, 1 a month on free photos. Haven’t tried them yet but on my list!

cheap make up
Check out Poundland. Often lots of mid market brands (L’Oréal, birds bees, revlon, nails inc, etc) for a pound. B&M and Home Bargains do similar but tend to be £2-4 each instead of a pound.

art supplies check out your local scrap store - amazing bargains to be had and feel good eco -reuse vibes too.

andi76 · 07/11/2019 14:59

@shestoodinthestorm - mine hasn't arrived either, today was the latest date given for the delivery window on mine so I'll be chasing it up tomorrow.

andi76 · 07/11/2019 15:05

And as I posted the doorbell rang - my Amazon Christmas tree is here.

recklessgran · 07/11/2019 15:21

Please can anyone with a 10 year old girl help me out?
Is this a suitable gift;

Our lovely great niece is a young 10 loves gymnastics and arty things. Not in the least academic. Wondering about giving this with some money inside but I'm not sure if it's age appropriate or not - don't want to offend her! I'm a bit out of touch with the tweens these days. TIA.

BestofLuck · 07/11/2019 15:21

@lifelongfrugaleer have bought my dd art supplies for The Works before. Stocked up on further supplies for her for this Christmas too. Never had a problem with the quality.

Lc2006 · 07/11/2019 15:23

@Mammyofonlyone I'm not sure as I ordered the Kano wand but got a few emails about the computer

@batbear I'm not sure if it still works as it's from last year but I do have a referral code for Kano I will put it on the referrals thread for you to try. If it comes down to £100 on black Friday would make it £90 as it gives you £10 off. I would get a £10 voucher if it works same as last year then if you post your referral link you will get a £10 voucher for everyone that orders through your link. Sorry if it doesn't work anymore just thought it would be worth a try.

Jedstre · 07/11/2019 15:29

My little tree from Amazon has arrived (after just saying it hadn’t) and finally gruum shampoo bar arrived after many weeks.

I posted on last thread that tomorrow Metro (free newspaper)will have £10 off a Lidl £40 shop. I can easily spend £40 and I’ll be looking for their finest range (whatever it’s called) Christmas pud which came out well in a taste test.
